Mike Evans Injury Update, Tampa vs. Chicago Betting Picks Update and Breakdown

Tampa travels to Chicago to take on the Bears. The Buccaneers are 3-1 SU, 2-1-1 ATS, going over 3-1. The Bears are also 3-1 SU, but 2-2 ATS, splitting totals at 2-2.

Odds: Tampa is -3.5 with a total of 44.5 at NFL live lines. It opened at -3 and 45.5. Home underdogs with a winning percentage of .750 or better are 76-59-3 including 61-42-3 getting 2.5 or more, 39-22-3 with three or fewer wins.

Public betting percentages: Substantial splits are on the side as 78 percent of bets on are on Tampa, but 78 percent of money on the Bears. Many say this implies sharp money on the home underdogs and it is rare the share is this divergent. The total is almost as compelling with 65 percent of bets on over, yet 66 percent of cash on under.

Power ratings: Our power ratings have Tampa -.5 with a total of 47.5 and a projected 24-23 victory by the road team.

Computer simulations ATS and OU: One of our top projection models did 10,000 simulations and found Tampa projected to win 23-21. The Bears covered 54 percent of simulations with the under at 53 percent. Another has the power ratings of Tampa -4 with a total of 47. Tampa covered 51.9 percent of simulations with it going over 56.5 percent of the time.

Against the spread trends: Tampa 4-0 road favorites, 19-40 after allowing more than 250 yards passing in their previous game. Chicago 1-8 loss and 4-12 overall.

Over-under trends: Tampa over 8-0 after allowing more than 30 points in their previous game, over 8-0 off spread loss. Chicago under 16-5 grass.

Top expert pick on today’s card is from Joe Duffy. Yes, the last 33 days haven’t been as great as the last 33 years. But this is the strongest weekend yet. NFC TNF Game of the Year gets you started with powerful Wise Guy.  MLB side for 2:08 ET.  Get the picks now

Mike Evans is questionable for the Buccaneers. He already has 17 catches for 230 yards and 5 TDs. It looks like he will warm up before any final decision is made. Scotty Miller is likely to play for Tampa. He has 15 catches. Chris Godwin is out. Off a spectacular season, he has 11 catches this year. Nick Foles remains the starting QB for Chicago.

Tampa vs. Carolina Thursday Night Football Betting Picks Preview

It’s Thursday Night Football as Tampa Bay Buccaneers undertake the Carolina Panthers. Carolina is -7 (-105) at Bovada live NFL lines with a total of 49 and moneyline of -320 with a +260 on the road team. Lines of -6.5 but higher juice are also accessible. The odds debuted at -6.5 and 51 but juiced to the under at Betonline.

In a rare status, the percentages of bets equal the proportions of money stakes as 83 percent of the public using each criterion favors Carolina. Fifty-nine percent of wagers are on the under, while the money is equally split on the total. Each team is 0-1 SU and ATS with Tampa going under their opening game and Carolina exceeding the total.

When two winless teams clash, the underdog covers at an imposing 91-69-5 ratio, with the winning percentage slightly finer on the road. Most profitable betting systems and formulas would fit under the umbrella of “counterintuitive.” A good example is a totals angle that applies in this situation. Carolina is off game 57 points scored, Tampa following one 48. At least the arithmetic would imply a total higher than 50 should be posted here.

However, we have an angle based on overreaction that applies and goes UNDER 1428-1186-55. This is an example of using betting formulas to use oddsmakers knowledge against them.

Underdogs a week after allowing two defensive touchdowns are 40-23 ATS, favoring Tampa. The logic is straightforward. Defensive scores are somewhat good fortune and are challenging to duplicate, helping isolate deceptive final scores. Tampa head coach Bruce Arians came out of retirement with the number one goal to turn around the career of inconsistent underachiever Jameis Winston. The Tampa QB’s problems seem to be more a result of his ability to make proper life decisions and little to do with football-related issues.

Carolina signal Cam Newton changed his mechanics and could be a work in progress as he adjusts to a new throwing motion. Panthers star TE Greg Olsen is questionable. The often-injured start played only 16 games last two years with 44 catches. He did tell NFL.com that he intends to play Thursday. Long-time veteran LB Bruce Irvin has been ruled out for Carolina.

For Tampa, five-year veteran DE Rakeem Nunez-Roches is probable after leaving the Niners game after 14 snaps thanks to a thumb-injury. Buccaneers LB Devin White was slowed down in game 1 with an illness, though he still managed six tackles. He is back to full health. Weather will not be a factor.

Top expert pick on today’s card is from NFL Thursday, two college football Friday led by a Wise Guy! Ten college football Saturday led by three Wise Guys at OffshoreInsiders.com.

Against the spread trends: Carolina is 2-7 overall going back to last season, 1-6 on grass. The underdog is 5-1 in the series, the road team 7-3.

Over-under trends: Tampa has gone over 13-3-1 on the road. Carolina under 19-9 at home versus an opponent with a losing road record.

Thursday Night Football Packers vs. Bears Winning Picks

2019 NFL regular season betting kicks off–literally on Thursday Night Football. It’s the Green Bay Packers at Chicago Bears. Chicago is -3 -115 at GTBets with a total of 46.5. It opened at -4 and 45.5 at Betonline, home of the opening line.

Though 57 percent of bets are on Green Bay, 56 percent of cash is on da Bears. Likewise, a slight discrepancy on the total as 52 percent of tickets are on the over, but 56 percent of money on the under.

QB Mitchell Trubisky didn’t throw a single pass in the preseason, so fans will get their first chance to weigh in on the quarterback’s progress Thursday night. Trubisky has tended to perform at his best against Green Bay. In his fifth professional start, Trubisky had one of the best games of his rookie season, completing 21 of 35 passes for 297 yards and a touchdown. He has yet to throw an interception against the Packers.

Green Bay is 2-7-1 ATS in road games, while the Bears have covered an incredible seven straight to the NFC North. They are 16-5 at home and 9-2 overall. However, the Packers are 16-5 ATS in Chicago and 12-5 overall in the series.

Saints vs. Cowboys Thursday Night Football Betting Sharp Intel

The New Orleans Saints take on the Dallas Cowboys on Thursday Night Football. Dallas is laying -7 to -7.5 with varying juice and the total is 51.5 to 52. The game opened New Orleans -7.5 and 54.5. Thus far, 72 percent of bets and 62 percent of money is on New Orleans, not that high considering the public love of road favorites. Seventy-seven percent of bets and 70 percent of money is on the over at Bovada and other sportsbooks.
