Football Spread Picks, ALCS Game 6 Yankees-Angels Intellectual Ventures of Sports Handicappers Saturday

The intellectual ventures of the top football handicappers are scaring the oddsmakers more than My Super Psycho Sweet Sixteen and Dragonwyck combined.

Today in the Daily Sports Roundup: The Tide try to roll past the Volunteers, the Horned Frogs meet the Cougars, and the Yankees and Angels battle in Game 6.

Colliding on the gridiron . . .

It’s a white collar TV show as Alabama will be looking to keep a grip on the No. 1 spot in the rankings on Saturday afternoon when they host Tennessee. The Crimson Tide (7-0 SU, 5-2 ATS) got past South Carolina 20-6 last week, with Mark Ingram rushing for 246 yards and a touchdown in that victory. The Volunteers (3-3 SU, 3-3 ATS) had no trouble with Georgia in their last game, winning 45-19 on the strength of four TD strikes from Jonathan Crompton. Alabama is a 15-point favorite for this contest.

Meanwhile, No. 10 TCU will take on No. 16 BYU in the top ranked matchup on Saturday’s college football slate. The Horned Frogs (6-0 SU, 3-2 ATS) kept their perfect record intact with a 44-6 pasting of Colorado State in their last game; Andy Dalton threw for 211 yards and two touchdowns in that win. The Cougars (6-1 SU, 3-4 ATS) got past San Diego State 38-28 last time out; Max Hall threw for 346 yards and three TDs on that day. TCU is a 2.5-point favorite for Saturday.

Elsewhere, it’s No. 2 Florida (-23) at Mississippi State, No. 3 Texas (-12) at Missouri, Oregon State at No. 4 USC (-21), Louisville at No. 5 Cincinnati (-18), No. 6 Boise State (-24.5) at Hawaii, No. 7 Iowa at Michigan State (-1.5), Clemson at No. 8 Miami (-4.5), and Auburn at No. 9 LSU (-7.5). Also, No. 25 Oklahoma will visit No. 24 Kansas, with the Sooners pegged as the 8-point road favorites.

Meeting up on the diamond . . .

The Yankees will try to close out the ALCS once again on Saturday night when they host the Angels in Game 6 with a 3-2 series lead. Andy Pettitte will get the ball for New York in this contest; lefthander Pettitte picked up a no-decision in the third game of the series, surrendering three earned runs on seven hits over his 6 1-3 innings of work. The Angels will counter with Joe Saunders on Saturday; lefthander Saunders gave up two earned runs over his seven innings in Game 2.

Taking a trip around the rink . . .

Finally, there’s a full slate of 15 games around the National Hockey League on Saturday night, including the Rangers on the road against the Canadiens. Rutgers Wins and Covers at Army; Pro Gamblers Won Again

Rutgers destroyed Army 27-10 in a game that was never in doubt and no surprise to professional gamblers as GodsTips destroys the sportsbooks like a crocodile needlefish.

Here is what GodsTips told you before the game. Wise Guy plays are your maximum play.  Majors are .75 of Wise Guy plays. We always urge line shopping to compliment the sharpest plays in the world and release plays as early as possible to ensure more success. Often our plays are released before most sportsbooks have lines up.  If we released plays later in the day, it would allow us to shop for better lines than we are able to post.  But we are more concerned about YOU being able to shop for better lines.  Be aware that in many cases better lines will be available than the ones we post.

Game of the Year and Game of the Month plays still involve the same straight betting as above.  While we believe all gamblers need only bet our plays we realize some pick and choose selections.  Said distinction is for such ala carte players. All units won quoted on systems are based on one unit per bet.

Here was GodsTips Major.

RUTGERS10 Army

Frankly Rutgers outsmarted themselves against Pittsburgh, going away from their strength and attacking Pittsburgh‘s (perceived weakness). The 41 pass attempts compared to 20 runs, head coach Greg Schiano explained, were a direct result of one thing: He saw opportunities in the passing game.

Rich Ellerson, in his first season as the Black Knights’ head coach, has re-established the option attack at West Point after Army went away from it earlier this decade.
It is a work in progress, however. Army has scored just four touchdowns in its last four games

The Scarlet Knights have experience against the triple option and even found a little trick of the trade. The different offensive look from the opponent is also dictating a change in gear for the defense. They’ll be wearing shin guards, which they’ve donned in practice this week.

“The pace is just a lot faster, a lot of ball movement and, well, the cut blocks also,” senior defensive end George Johnson said. “It’s hard to play the cut blocks.”

Using shin guards is a tactic Schiano said he began to employ “about four years ago.”
“It’s been good to us. We use it against triple-option teams,” he said.

It’s the second straight year that Rutgers lost key talent from the year before and they are showing signs that for the second straight time they are getting better as the year went on.

Meanwhile the under was no surprise as Stevie Vincent swept for the fifth time in 10 days. Here was Vincent’s pick:

Football Complimentary Pick: Oregon State vs. USC

Sensational sports handicapper Matt Rivers has the greatest Saturday he has ever seen (details below). He starts out with a complimentary football spread pick on Oregon State (plus 20 ½) at USC at BetUs Sportsbook.

Here is what this star betting experts says about the game:

Whenever USC lays such a hefty number I seem to take my chances against them. Pete Carroll’s squad is obviously very stout defensively and overall well superior to the visiting Beavers but three touchdowns better? I think not!

Oregon State has some playmakers. Both Rodgers brothers, James and Jacquizz, can be scary good and Mike Riley is a quality coach who helped shock the world last year in this very same matchup beating Mark Sanchez and an even better USC team.

Playing on the road here will definitely be harder for the Beavs but I’m not asking for an outright and Freshman Matt Barkley is not exactly a guy that has wowed me at all. Barkley has had some quality drives (ala game winner at Ohio State) but he is far from being a Peyton Manning or Drew Brees flinging the ball all over the field and lighting up the scoreboard. USC is a run first team with Joe McKnight and CJ Gable and the injury to Stafon Johnson has weakened this team. It takes time for these Trojans to put up points and that will keep this thing tight enough.

Taylor Mays is a stud on defense but the losses of Clay Matthews and Ray Ma’aluga to the NFL certainly hurt this defense and even though they are still very very good, if not great, are far from being invincible and we saw just that last week in the narrow win at Notre Dame.

USC next week plays Oregon which could wind up being for the Pac-10 title and I just do not see this run oriented Trojans group walking off of the field with a blowout win against a pretty good Oregon State squad. UCS squeaks by 24-14.

BetOnline.com NCAA Football – TCU-BYU Tough To Call If You’re Making A Bet On Sports

TCU’s odds at BetOnline.com for their showdown at BYU have them as a road favorite against their bitter rivals, and this is such a heated clash that TCU is alleged to have a BYU helmet on a tackling dummy in their training room. Can BYU hand out some Gambino-style revenge on the team that ruined its BCS chances last year?

TCU vs BYU odds – Saturday, October 24, 7:30 PM ET

The No.8 Horned Frogs (6-0, 2-0) romped to a 44-6 beating of Colorado State in a whipping that was almost criminal. TCU had 499 yards to Colorado State‘s 182, and they racked up an insane 275 yards on the ground. Andy Dalton was 15-of-23 for 211 yards and a pair of scores, and the Horned Frogs’ fourth-ranked defense handled their business. The Horned Frogs’ BCS chances are about as good as Pittsburgh‘s World Series odds will be next year, but as long as they keep winning, they’ll be in the picture.

The No.16 Cougars (6-1, 3-0) went off in a 38-28 win over San Diego State, gaining 512 yards of offense, and they held the ball for over 38 minutes. Max Hall was 27-of-39 for 346 yards and three touchdowns, but the defense allowing 28 points when they were only on the field with over 21 minutes? It’s an organized crime gambling ring rounded up the BYU secondary and forced them to stop playing defense last week, and they’ll need to be much, much better this weekend.

TCU is a 2.5-point favorite in the BetOnline.com sportsbook at BYU, who have won four of their six meetings with the Horned Frogs. However, TCU thumped the Cougars 32-7 at home last year to end BYU’s unbeaten season, and they put the BYU offense in a prison with four forced turnovers. The Cougars are coming off two straight road games, and they surely don’t want to lose another game at home after their meltdown against Florida State. Payback is a dish best served cold, and the Horned Frogs will get all they asked for and more this Saturday. Go with BYU in an online betting upset.

Handicapper Adam Meyer Radio Tout Ripped on KNBR 68

Ouch. Many touts purchase expensive radio time to promote their product. One is sports handicapper Adam Meyer. His picks have been so bad even the KNBR hosts who asks the bullet points said, “I know if you took his picks and bet the other way, you’d be quite wealthy.”

According to Cy McCormick of power of 620 sports services behind every selection, the MasterLockLine, “Radio handicapper Adam Meyer gets the Brandon Lang Award this year,” he jokes referring to the sports betting version of the Mendoza Award for lowest winning percentage.

Apparently he went against Matt Rivers 300,000 underdog on Notre Dame and of course lost miserably. In the days before the Internet, any and all handicappers worth their weight in winnings were on scorephones. There was a burden of proof to appear before the World Wide Web allowed anyone with a computer to present herself as a betting expert.

Simply put, every tout, tip sheet, and sports handicapper applied, but only the best of the best made the cut—less than one-percent of all sports services.

OffshoreInsiders.com pulled out all the stops to assure the top two scorephone handicappers ever, based on money won, would be part of The Show for sports handicapping.  Joe Duffy, America’s only living Grandmaster Handicapper and Matt Rivers are true handicapping legends and their personal bets are exclusively on OffshoreInsiders.com

His picks rank among the bottom 15 against both the NFL point spread and football lines college says McCormick.
