ESPN Penn State vs. Alabama Point Spread Bombshell

A Category 5 Vegas scores and odds sports betting pick Alert has been releases for the Penn State vs. Alabama contest as “Big Red” looks to remain undefeated with his syndicate bets on the LateInfo.

The NCAA point spread for this contest has Crimson Tide -12 in most shops, though if one is betting the Nittany Lions one can get 12.5

Spread betting trends (all records are against the spread): Nittany Lions are 6-1 ATS in their last 7 games following a S.U. win, 7-3 ATS in their last 10 games overall. On the other hand, the Nittany Lions are 0-6 ATS in their last 6 games in September.

Crimson Tide are 7-1 ATS in their last 8 games in September, 12-5 ATS in their last 17 games on grass. 13-6 off straight up win yet are 3-8 ATS in their last 11 games after accumulating more than 280 yards passing in their previous game.

Over/under trends: Under is 5-0 in Nittany Lions last 5 vs. SEC, under 18-7-1 last 26 games after scoring more than 40 points in their previous game, under 7-3 after allowing less than 20 points in their previous game, and under 7-3 off win.

Top expert pick on this game: Last week, the LateInfo started out the college season with Oregon State. Now get the Penn State/Alabama side. “Big Red” is a major figure and pioneer in offshore betting. He has unique access to professional oddsmakers and gamblers. All his bets are based on consulting with elite handicappers, pro bettors and linesmakers.

The LateInfo Line is now another part of OffshoreInsiders.  Formally part of the FreeScoreboard scorephone days, since 2001 LateInfo is 70-80 percent in each and every sport, broken down college and pro separately. It’s Penn State/Alabama against the spread. Be on the same side as the pro bettors with Big Red

Marshall Football Covers To WVU; Houston Cougars and Over, Huge Night For Pros

Houston Cougars blow out Texas El Paso and Marshall loses a heartbreaker to West Virginia, but covers easily. Professional gamblers saw it coming as Center of the Handicapping Universe GodsTips sweeps again.

Vegas runner and offshore wise guys are ready for a big Saturday as the sharps will have another great day, the squares will subsidize them.

Get 13 college football winners, two are Wise Guys. Florida State-Oklahoma, Michigan-Notre Dame sides are the Wise Guys. Those who bet only our Wise Guys are crazy. We win more than anyone else because we work harder.  Our Major plays are stronger than virtually any sports service Game of the Year. Our three decades of winning proves it. Bet the same picks as the pro bettors with GodsTips.

Here is what pro gamblers got from Grandmaster Sports Handicapper Joe Duffy, CEO of OffshoreInsiders.com, the top sports betting site in the world before placing their bets:

Wise Guy…

UTEP-Houston OVER 74.5

The Cougars lit up the board last week scoring 68 points and clearly they held back. Houston was led by Conference USA Preseason Offensive Player of the Year Case Keenum. Keenum completed 17 of 22 passes for 254 yards. He threw five touchdown passes, but he was intercepted twice.

Last year they combined for 99 points and both teams are every bit as high octane this season. They average more than 1,000 yards combined on offense in the last five games between the two teams.

The Cougs are a work in progress on the defensive side of the ball. Houston will have a new look on defense as they also start the year with a new defensive coordinator. Houston’s defensive coordinator Brian Stewart spent nine years in the NFL.

The Miners have an all-senior starting offensive line that averages 6-5 and 307 pounds and will have great success against Houston’s feast or famine gambling defense.

MARSHALL +12.5 West Virginia

Remember our Golden Rule: it’s tough to manufacture emotion. It’s one of the biggest games in the history at Marshall.

Marshall is 119-19 straight up at Joan C. Edwards Stadium, although nearly all of those games were against lower-tiered schools.

In its last trip to Huntington in 2007, West Virginia was held to three first downs and 118 total yards in the opening half and trailed 13-6 at halftime.

The underdogs have a big hand up in prepping for their foes. Head coach Doc Holliday was the Mountaineers’ recruiting coordinator the past two seasons. Former WVU offensive graduate assistant JaJuan Seider now is Marshall’s running backs coach and recruiting coordinator, while three ex-graduate assistants at WVU have similar roles at Marshall.

WVU linebacker Pat Lazear, who led the team in tackles, is out.

WVU just wants to win. This game is as big as it gets though for the home double-digit underdog.

Major…

HOUSTON -20 utep

It’s a big revenge game for Houston. In the Kevin Sumlin era, the Cougars have played five games against teams they lost to within the last season. The Cougars won all five.

That includes a 17-point win to nationally ranked East Carolina, a team good enough to still win the conference title. To say the least, much better than UTEP.

An aberration? Well the same year, 2008 the Cougars improved to 2-0 against ranked opponents in the Sumlin era with a 70-30 thrashing of the nation’s No. 25 team. The previous November, Tulsa trashed UH, 56-7.

Oklahoma State, 2009 – The Cougars suffered a 56-37 defeat in the second game of the Sumlin era in 2008. UH turned the tables the next season for a 45-35 victory against a fifth-ranked team.

Rice, 2009 – The Cougars had their 2008 C-USA West title hopes dashed in a 56-42 loss at Rice in the regular-season finale. Last Nov. 28, the Cougars cruised to a 73-14 victory.

Okay, these were impressive wins including routs to nationally ranked teams. Three touchdowns is not nearly as much with these offenses.

Those who bet totals always wager with Stevie Vincent as mastering over/under has been his forte for years and no sports handicapper comes close.

Free College Football Pick Against the Spread

The NCAA point spread pick Saturday is on Georgia Tech -13.5 at BetED. This comes from Matt Rivers, who was the winningest handicapper ever—nobody came close—on a large network of sites.

All the football service picks are up for Saturday. Rivers says:

Laying double digits on the road is never the overall key to success but I don’t see how Kansas is going to be able to compete today. The Jayhawks’ defense was alright last week only allowing six points but losing at home to South Dakota State was beyond dreadful and now with Paul Johnson’s triple option attack coming to town an ugly 0-2 start is pretty much a given.

Turner Gill is the new head coach of KU and he obviously had experience running that option attack at Nebraska but without much time to prepare for it and with what appears to be a dearth of blue chip athletes there is no way that Joshua Nesbitt won’t go crazy and dominate from the outset.

Todd Reesing and Kerry Meier and the bulk of the Jayhawk offense that was so high powered over the last few years are gone and leaner times with a ton of growing pains are here. Last week was probably a semi fluke in terms of the loss to a far lesser opponent but it does show how the ‘Hawks are a team with a ton of issues and going up against today’s opponent is not the recipe to straighten things out. The unconventional Tech rushing attack is tough enough for top flight teams with high quality athletes. Nesbitt, Anthony Allen, Roddy Jones and the Jackets today are going to make a lot of big plays and score in the 30’s. Gill is just trying to put his stamp on this team and cannot be preparing his squad enough for today’s opponent and that’s what it would take in order to just stay in the game.

Johnson’s defense did lose some studs in Derrick Morgan and Morgan Burnett to the NFL and it may show at times against the likes of Miami, Virginia Tech and a few others. But today, even in unfamiliar territory, I would be hard pressed to see anything other than a 35-13 type of an easy Yellow Jacket victory.

The pick: GA Tech

The Alouettes (6-3 SU, 4-5 ATS) were beaten 38-17 at home by B.C. last week with starting QB Anthony Calvillo on the sidelines, while the Tiger-Cats (5-4 SU, 5-4 ATS) have won four games in a row. The Argos (5-4 SU, 5-4 ATS) are looking to put an end to a two-game losing skid, with the Lions (2-7 SU, 3-6 ATS) pegged as the 5-point home favorites for their Saturday game.

Meeting up on the diamond . . .

The American League schedule for Saturday has Minnesota at Cleveland, Kansas City at the White Sox, Baltimore at Detroit, the Yankees at Texas, Boston at Oakland, Seattle at the Angels, and Tampa Bay at Toronto. Wade Davis (11-9, 4.39 ERA) is expected to take on Ricky Romero (12-8, 3.51 ERA) in that Rays/Jays matchup. Righthander Davis beat the Blue Jays in his August 30 outing, holding them to two runs on six hits over 7 2-3 innings of work. Lefthander Romero pitched against Tampa Bay on August 31, allowing five runs (four earned) on three hits over 7 1-3 innings in that win.

Over in the National League on Saturday it’s then Florida at Washington, Philadelphia at the Mets, San Francisco at San Diego, the Dodgers at Houston, the Cubs at Milwaukee, Pittsburgh at Cincinnati, Arizona at Colorado, and St. Louis at Atlanta. The Cardinals are slated to send Jake Westbrook (7-10, 4.46 ERA) to the hill in that last contest, while the Braves counter with Tommy Hanson (9-11, 3.58 ERA). Righthander Westbrook had to settle for a no-decision against the Brewers in his last trip to the mound, giving up two runs on five hits over his six innings pitched. Righthander Hanson was tagged with a loss by the Pirates last time out, surrendering three runs (two earned) over six innings.

Roaring around the track . . .

Finally, the drivers of the Sprint Cup Series will get their last shot at qualifying for the Chase on Saturday when they take to the track in the Air Guard 400 at Richmond International Raceway. Kyle Busch, won won at Richmond earlier in the season, is the oddsmakers’ 7/2 favorite to get the win on Saturday night, with defending champion Denny Hamlin pegged at 11/2 odds. Clint Bowyer, who is sitting in the 12th and final Chase spot heading into Richmond, is at 28/1 odds to visit victory lane, with 13th-place Ryan Newman at 30/1, and 14th-place Jamie McMurray at 30/1 as well. Jimmie Johnson has won three of the past seven Cup races at Richmond, and he’s listed at 7/1.
