2008 Bowls Betting Notes, Part 1

Here are some news and notes for sports handicappers and fans alike from the staff of OffshoreInsiders.com

Memphis-South Florida

South Florida could approach this as a consolation bowl. After their first preseason ranking ever, they were thinking BCS starting 5-0. However, they slide into the postseason having lost 5-of-7. They failed to score more than 20 points in their final five games.

Memphis defeated just one bowl team Southern Miss and has no wins to teams with a winning record.

Southern Miss-Troy

Troy was 8-4 but easily could have won two more. They lost by one to Louisiana-Monroe when their potential game winning field goal hit the crossbar. They also blew a 31-3 lead to LSU.

Southern Miss enters the postseason playing their best football of the year winning five straight. Their defensive improvement was the reason. After giving up 35.8 points per game in five straight losses, they have up 35 points combined in their final five games.

BYU-Arizona

Motivation should not be a factor for an Arizona team playing in their first bowl game in a decade. BYU’s focus may be another story. A loss to Utah in their season finale cost them a shot at a BCS bowl.

Arizona allowed only 14.7 points per game at home, but 30.6 on the road. Arizona ranks 16th in the nation in total offense and BYU 19th, so points should be aplenty.

Wake Forest-Navy

These teams met on Sept. 16 and Navy won 24-17. Navy won 5-of-7 to close the year including the final two contests by a combined 50-0. Navy should have QB Kaipo-Noa Kaheaku-Enhada at full speed. He missed five games this year but returned against Army. “He makes a huge difference for the Naval Academy,” says ScoresOddsPicks.com Brian Gould.

Sports Picks For NFL

There are two ways that you are guaranteed to love your football watching experience. Second on your list is to wish all female fans dressed like Sondra Fortunato. The first is to make sure you bet with the top sports handicappers in the land.

No too be too glib, but we will take care of the latter. Here are the faces of the nation for professional gamblers.

Hotter than Jocelyn Maldonado and Megan Hauserman are two handicappers on power of 620 sports services behind every selection, the MasterLockLine.

He sweeps yesterday with Buffalo over and Minnesota over. Kongpop Sukhibomrong, head of the famed Pan-Asian Syndicate which dominated Asian and European soccer for years has now taken over the North American sports scene. Statmaven Sports is No. 1 all-time on as far as plays that have risen to the level to be re-released. Rankings trace back to the 976-LOCK scorephone days through the SuperLockLine and are all-sports combined.  In other words, their highest rated plays have proven since 1980 to be as good as any sports service.  Prime Time NFL Angle that is 60-11. Yes we know generally we use angles based on units won, but this winning percentage is mind boggling on the Cleveland/Philadelphia side.

Bill Tanner is the No. 1 college and NBA handicapper combined since 1995. The greatest football handicapping service of all time indisputably is GodsTips. The only thing different about this year than most of the previous quarter century is we had to somewhat sweat our CFB Game of the Year winner. The NFL was as easy as usual with the Panthers yesterday. The Niners make it 30-13 with NFL Wise Guy plays and world can’t describe how livid we are about our 220 moneyline dog on the Chiefs.

Let’s continue to winning with the Monday Night total Browns-Eagles. Oh, the Thunder in the NBA and Nevada in CBB make us 20-10 recently with all sports Wise Guy plays.

One of the elite handicappers and the winningest in terms of winning percentage is Stevie Vincent. One of Stevie’s not-so-secrets to success is that he does not force plays. His recent run in football is consistent with his career success, he is 10-4 the last 14 football Level 5 plays. All he has to do is release a Level 5 football play and watched hundreds of sales come in.

Stevie’s Monday Night Football angles say no premium play, so he’s not betting it. However he does have two absolute burials including the Monday Night West Coast GAME of the YEAR. Click now to purchase these two best bets from the founder of forensic sports handicapping

Monday MNF and Basketball Betting

The Eagles will be looking to stay in the NFC postseason race on Monday night when they play host to the Browns. Here’s a look in your Daily Sports Roundup. The Gridiron Spotlight

Philadelphia is coming off impressive back-to-back wins over the Cardinals and Giants which has them at 7-5-1 straight-up (and a profitable 8-5 against-the-spread) through 13 games. Donovan McNabb went just 19-of-30 for 191 yards passing and a TD last week against New York, but it was enough to guide his team to a 20-14 road win. Brian Westbrook ran for 131 yards and had two TDs.

Cleveland, on the other hand, has lost each of their last three games to fall to 4-9 SU (but 7-6 ATS) on the season. The Browns have scored a combined 21 points over the course of their losing streak, and they lost 28-9 on the road versus the Titans last week. Third-string QB Ken Dorsey went 22-of-43 for 150 yards passing with one INT, while Joshua Cribbs was the top rusher with just 24 yards.

The oddsmakers don’t expect the Monday nighter to be a close affair – they have the Eagles pegged as big 14-point home favorites. The game’s total is at 39 points; Cleveland is 5-7-1 on the OVER/UNDER this year, Philadelphia is 6-7 OU.
