Major

SOUTH CAROLINA STATE +23 at Bet Now to North Carolina A&T

Big road underdogs in games with a low total are 388-277. Obviously, the logic is that points are much more valuable in games in which are expected to be low scoring. A similar angle, but with a higher pointspread and even lower total is 65.9 percent, slighty higher when said team is off loss. In fact, it’s a crazy good 81.8 percent if both teams are off a loss! Also, it is a mild version of our famed bubble burst angles that has to do with fading teams off devastating losses is 434-349-16. It’s even stronger on the road.

WNBA, CFL NHL, horse racing, World Cup, “added rotation” games in college football and basketball, all prop bets, etc are considered by too many a niche and many do not bet, all such records are kept separately.

Margin of Cover (Sweat Barometer) Standings Entering College Football Week of September 27

Margin of cover is a long-time tool of original cappers used to measure the reliability of the often deceptive ATS and OU records. It is much like margin of victory, except it measures margin relative to the point spread or OU. With over-under, “overs” are listed first. Some Johnny-Come-Lately handicappers call this the sweat barometer.

As an example, if a team is a 10-point favorite and wins by 20 points, their margin of cover would be 10. The losing team would be -10. Likewise, if the total is 50 and 40 points are scored, each team would have an OU margin of -10. Week 4 NFL Opening Odds Posted; Chiefs-Broncos Pointspread and Total Compelling

Opening lines for week 4 NFL are posted by Betonline, home of the opening line. Can they make the Kansas City Chiefs total high enough? Kansas City plays at the hated Denver Broncos on MNF and are four-point road favorites with a total of 55. The Cleveland Browns are getting the respect that a team that could be 3-0 deserves. They are mere 2.5-point underdogs at Oakland, less than the standard home field advantage of 3. Joe Duffy’s picks is the anchor of OffshoreInsiders.com is will have the strongest bets on these games.

Jimmy Garoppolo Worth to Odds Revealed; Bills Historic Upset Put Into Perspective

The Buffalo Bills, closing as 16.5-point underdogs at BetDSI versus the Vikings, have completed one of the biggest upsets in NFL history.

The Bills defeated Minnesota 27-6 in Week 3. They essentially covered a 37.5-point spread, which is akin to the 40.5-point spread the No. 16 UMBC covered against No. 1 Virginia during last year’s NCAA Tournament (won by 20 and were 20.5-point underdogs).

Biggest Upsets in NFL History:

New York Jets (+18) over Baltimore Colts (16-7, Super Bowl III)

Baltimore Colts (+18) over New England Patriots (33-27, 9/18/78)

Buffalo Bills (+16.5) over Minnesota Vikings (27-6, 9/23/18)

Since 2003, teams that were 16.5-point underdogs or higher were 0-23.

—–

The 49ers had 30-1 (+3000) odds to win Super Bowl LIII going into Week 3. If Jimmy Garoppolo’s knee injury sidelines him for the season, San Francisco’s odds will jump to 70-1 (+7000), according to BetDSI oddsmakers. The Niners were 8-1 to win the NFC West going into Week 3.

Garoppolo is worth 5-6 points to the spread, depending on the opponent.
