Ryder Cup Odds; Free Pick For College Football Results

Football handicappers and sports betting services are unleashing big time. They Ryder Cup odds are ready for last minute betting.

Your comp winner for Saturday is on Georgia Tech from Matt Rivers. They are laying 10 points at Wake Forest.

Things have not been very good for Paul Johnson’s Yellow Jackets. The reigning ACC champs have already lost to Kansas and NC State as big favorites but they are still a very talented team and one that is light years ahead of Wake Forest. They’re not great but Wake Forest right now is a dog with fleas.

All of the recent Tech issues though pale in comparison to what is going on in Winston Salem with this Wake Forest group. I can’t believe that a Jim Grobe coached team has been this bad but after the last few weeks I have come to the realization that they have. I believed a few weeks ago that the Demon Deacons would hang a bit with Stanford but after seeing that woodshed beating which came on the heels of almost allowing 50 at home to Duke and then just getting shutout in Tallahassee last week, by a good but still far from great Florida State team, I have given up on the Deacs.

Riley Skinner is gone and the quarterbacks have been an absolute disaster thus far only partly due to injury and all in all this team is not very good. Wake was getting drilled last week from the get go and the team still did not even attempt to pass that much. They are trying to establish an Air Force type offense but it is not close to being there as of yet and beating a quality foe is out of the question right now.

Joshua Nesbitt and the Tech offense is still ultra-dangerous. They are not going to fling the pigskin around but with Anthony Allen, Roddy Jones and a few others this triple option attack will work today. The Jackets are in dire need of a complete game effort and I just don’t see anything other than that against what has become a total bottom feeder once again.

This thing may not be 50-0 but the Deacs haven’t been able to defend anything at all and all of sudden doing a 180 with this option in town doesn’t seem all that realistic.

This thing has 37-14 written all over it.

For more information: Matt Rivers is red hot and has a big play. I did it again on Friday with a beyond easy 2-0 sweep including the 300,000* Utah State Aggies Outright and the Phillies plus 145 by a billion!  It’s now 3.5 million* of profit over the past three weeks and nothing at all changes today, nothing!

Brigham Young and Utah State ESPN College Football Sports Handicapping

This week’s football schedule includes a contest between Brigham Young and Utah State

OffshoreInsiders.com takes a look at the football betting match-up using key numbers employed by professional gamblers.

In comparing yards per rush on offense, the better numbers belong to BYU by a .2 yards per rush margin.

As far as passing yards per completion on the offensive side of the ball, the upper hand is for the Aggies by a substantial 3.6 gap.

According to yards per point, the more efficient offense is also by Utah State wasting 4.2 fewer yards.

Defensively the more stingy team based on yards per rush is Utah State by a significant 1.4 disparity.

The superior defense in terms of passing yards per completion it the Cougars by 1.7

The yards per point statistic used by the best sports handicappers says the superior defense is by BYU forcing foes to use 3.1 more.

Who to bet on according to the football betting experts against the spread: It’s on the MasterLockLine: The Duke, Jonathan Mardukas built up a large scorephone following over the last dozen or so years. With a database that goes back to 1980 the MasterLockLine say he is the top ranked college and pro football handicapper EVER. Yards per point is determined by diving total yards by number of points. Offensively a lower number is considered more efficient. On defense, a higher number is better.

Colliding on the gridiron . . .

The college football schedule has just one game on tap for Friday, with BYU at Utah State. The Cougars (1-3 SU, 1-3 ATS) are coming off a 27-13 home loss to Nevada, as quarterback Jake Heaps went just 24-of-45 for 229 yards passing with no touchdowns. The Aggies (1-3 SU, 1-2 ATS) were pounded 41-7 by San Diego State in their last game. Oddsmakers have set BYU as the 5-point fave, with the total for the night at 51.5.

Top expert pick on this game:  It’s on the MasterLockLine: The Duke, Jonathan Mardukas built up a large scorephone following over the last dozen or so years. With a database that goes back to 1980 the MasterLockLine say he is the top ranked college and pro football handicapper EVER. His biggest Friday Night Parlay release ever, a one billion star on the BYU/Utah State side and over/under. Click now to purchase

As well, there’s one Canadian Football League game on the Friday schedule, with Montreal at Calgary. The Alouettes (9-3 SU, 6-6 ATS) ride a three-game winning streak into Friday’s matchup, and they got past Winnipeg 44-40 on the road last week. The Stampeders (9-3 SU, 8-4 ATS) will be looking to put an end to a two-game skid when they host the Als. Calgary is a 3.5-point favorite for Friday, with that total pegged at 56.5.

Meeting up on the diamond . . .

The American League schedule for Friday has Detroit at Baltimore, the Angels at Texas, Tampa Bay at Kansas City, Cleveland at the White Sox, Toronto at Minnesota, Oakland at Seattle, and the Yankees at Boston. Andy Pettitte (11-3, 3.17 ERA) is expected to take on Daisuke Matsuzaka (9-6, 4.72 ERA) in that Yankees/BoSox matchup. Lefthander Pettitte was knocked around by the Red Sox last time out, giving up seven runs (six earned) on 10 hits over 3 1-3 innings. Righthander Matsuzaka is coming off a no-decision against the Yankees in which he gave up only two runs in his eight innings.

Meanwhile, in the National League on Friday it’ll be Washington at the Mets, Milwaukee at Cincinnati, Pittsburgh at Florida, Philadelphia at Atlanta, the Cubs at Houston, Colorado at St. Louis, Arizona at the Dodgers, and San Diego at San Francisco. The Padres are slated to send Clayton Richard (13-9, 3.71 ERA) to the hill in that pivotal divisional contest, while the Giants go with Matt Cain (13-10, 2.95 ERA). Lefthander Richard lost to the Reds in his last trip to the mound, giving up six runs on five hits over his five innings of work. Righthander Cain is coming off a win over the Rockies in which he allowed just two runs on three hits over a full nine innings.

Rounding out the Roundup . . .

Finally, it’s the United States vs. Europe on the links starting on Friday as the Ryder Cup gets underway at Celtic Manor Resort in Newport, Wales. The Americans won this event 16.5-11.5 at Valhalla Golf Club in Louisville, Kentucky the last time it was played two years ago, but the Europeans had won the previous three tournaments. Vegas oddsmakers like Team Europe to pick up their fourth Ryder Cup in five tries this time around, setting them as 4/7 favorites. The Americans are then pegged at 7/4, with a tie set at 9/1 odds. Team USA will be led by Ryder Cup veterans Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson, and Jim Furyk, while there will be five rookies on the roster including Dustin Johnson. Europe’s most senior participant is Lee Westwood, who will be competing in his seventh Ryder Cup, while Rory McIlroy is one of six rookies for that squad this year.

Friday, your free pick from Matt Rivers is on the Toronto Blue Jays.

Ricky Romero is a very good big league hurler and even if things have not been fantastic of late I’ll back the lefty and the quality lineup of the Jays plus some money today.

Romero is up against a guy in Carl Pavano who has had a super successful season with that 17-11 mark and was even receiving a little bit of Cy Young love at one point but things have come unglued a bit of late as the righty has allowed 12 earned runs and 19 hits in his last two starts. I never fully bought it with the former Yankee/Expo/Marlin/Indian as there was no way he was going to keep up his great pace for the season but I do give him credit for being a lot better than I believed he could still be. With all of that said I will gladly take Romero over Pavano and will also right now take Cito Gaston’s lineup over Ron Gardenhire’s with Mauer and Morneau banged up.

Minnesota is finishing up a great season and one in which they eventually ran away with their division but, like Pavano, things of late have not been as good and without their pair of big bopping lefties I’m fine with Bautista, Wells, Hill, Lind, Overbay and the visitors from the north.

Getting anything in this spot with Romero and the Jays is worth at the very least a small play as they are more than likely boasting the superior hurler and the better lineup.

The pick: Toronto +116

For more information: It’s monster weekend time and I’m getting it started in the here and now. A pair of Friday winners as I continue to accumulate more profits and bury the Crookie. The big play comes from the gridiron in a 300,000* between BYU and Utah State along with a bonus 200,000* from Hotlanta between the Phillies and Braves. I’m up right around 3 million* of profit over the past few weeks and adding to it today. Click now to purchase

NFL Injuries, NCAA Football ESPN Starts out Big Vegas Odds Weekend

Can week 4 NFL picks and NCAA football handicappers bets be as easy as last week? While top sportsbooks took another beating from sharps, the squares gave their money away.

For those who prefer to win bets, here is the Bodog newsletter. It takes a look at Texas A&M vs. Oklahoma State, but NFL injuries and college football injuries.

Quite possibly the highest-scoring college football game of the week will come on Thursday night between two unbeaten yet unranked (in the AP poll) Big 12 South teams in Texas A&M and Oklahoma State. The Cowboys are 3.5-point favorites on Bodog’s NCAA Football Odds with a total set at a whopping 67 – there will be live betting available on the ESPN game.

New offensive coordinator Dana Holgorsen has Oklahoma State’s offense humming at a level unlike any in Cowboys history. Led by QB Brandon Weeden (73.3 percent completions, 975 yards passing, 11 TDs), running back Kendall Hunter (60 carries, 473 yards, 6 TDs) and receiver Justin Blackmon (24 catches, 431 yards, FBS-leading 8 TD catches), the Cowboys are No. 1 overall in total offense and No. 2 in scoring (57 points per game) and passing. Last time out against Tulsa, Weeden had six touchdown passes and the Cowboys put up a school-record 722 yards of offense while scoring on 10 straight possessions in a 65-28 win.

Texas A&M enters having played one of the worst schedules so far in the nation, having beaten Stephen F. Austin, Louisiana Tech and Florida International – and the Aggies were lucky to beat FIU as QB Jerrod Johnson was picked off four times in a row in the second half of the 27-20 win. Other than that, Johnson has been good, ranking in the Top 15 in total offense and passing, while RB Christine Michael hasn’t been held under 100 yards yet. The Aggies rank 9th in the nation in total offense and 10th in total defense, but consider the competition.

OSU has beaten Texas A&M two games in a row in this series but has never won three straight against the Aggies. Oklahoma State is 2-1 when opening the Big 12 season against Texas A&M with a loss in 2001 and wins the past two years. These are just two of 25 unbeaten teams left in the country.

Top expert pick on this game: He is so good. Atlanta, Arizona under, Detroit under makes The Great One Stevie Vincent 52-28 with all Level 5 plays in all sports. Now for NFL injuries for week 4 NFL picks.

The winless Cleveland Browns might get starting quarterback Jake Delhomme back on Sunday as Delhomme, who hasn’t played since Week 1, is expected to return to practice for the first time since injuring his ankle. Cleveland hosts Cincinnati on Sunday – bet on the game with Bodog’s NFL Odds.

Delhomme won’t practice Wednesday but coach Eric Mangini said he expected Delhomme back on the practice field either Thursday or Friday. Delhomme, who suffered a high ankle sprain against the Bucs, has been in a walking boot ever since. If he can’t practice or is still limited, Seneca Wallace will start again.

“I anticipate Jake coming back (to practice),” said Mangini. “We’ll see where he is. I want Jake to be healthy. That’s not a knock on Seneca. But Jake does some good things for us offensively (too).”

The Browns are 0-3 but have lost those three by just a combined 12 points. They have had a fourth-quarter lead in all three games this season, but are 0-3 for the third straight season and the fourth time in five years. Wallace was pretty good this past week against a great Ravens defense, going 18-for-24 for 141 yards and a touchdown.

Meanwhile, Mangini said the team will stick with Peyton Hillis as the starting running back. Hillis, starting for an injured Jerome Harrison against the Ravens, had 180 yards from scrimmage and his 144 rushing yards (on 22 carries, with a TD) set a career high. Hillis also had seven catches. Harrison could return against the Bengals but will be used more as a change-of-pace back.

My name is Joe Duffy and my social security number is…nope actually I have something that’s more valuable, though I don’t insult you by saying it’s a “lock” just the best pick in the industry. Ever sucker and their brother got buried last week, while sharpies flourished. This week’s portfolio for the pro bettors is every bit as strong and starts out with the Texas A&M-Oklahoma State side. We also have three MLB sides Click now to purchase

Boise State junior running back D.J. Harper, a key part of the Broncos’ excellent running back rotation, has been lost for the season with a torn anterior cruciate ligament – the second year in a row Harper has torn his ACL.

Harper was injured in Boise State’s win over Oregon State on Saturday night. He got hurt while trying to make a cut and immediately grabbed his knee. But he went to the sideline, went through some exercises and returned to the game. He had three carries for 21 yards against the Beavers but 160 yards rushing and two touchdowns overall this season – including a big 71-yard touchdown run in the opener against Virginia Tech. Harper also was injured in the third game of the 2009 season (the same knee) and redshirted.

If there’s good news it’s that the Broncos are deep at the position. Senior Jeremy Avery, a 1,000-yard rusher last year, will step into Harper’s role as the second option behind Doug Martin. Avery has been used in special packages this season while Martin and Harper handled the base plays.

Boise State, which has won 17 games in a row, now enters WAC play and will be a huge favorite on every week the rest of the season other than Nov. 26 at Nevada. The Broncos are -42.5 this week on Bodog’s NCAA odds against winless New Mexico State. The Aggies shouldn’t put up much of a fight as they have lost 10 in a row overall and are second-to-last in the FBS in defense. Boise is 10th in the nation in offense.

NFL Schedule Week 4 Trends, Part 2 Against the Spread

The podcast version of college football and NFL trends are up for NFL week 4 odds and predictions.

We continue our Week 4 NFL betting trend breakdown with the late games and Monday nighter. It’s pretty clear what the game of the week is.

SUNDAY, OCTOBER 3

Colts (2-1) vs Jaguars (0-3)

For all the talk over the years about the Colts having a strange problem beating Jacksonville, it doesn’t apply at the sportsbook. Indy is 4-1-1 against the spread in its last six meetings with the Jaguars. The road team has also beaten the spread six straight times in this AFC South rivalry.

Cardinals (2-1) vs Chargers (1-2)

Though the underdog is 4-1 ATS in the last five meetings between Arizona and San Diego, the two teams haven’t met for several years, so bettors shouldn’t necessarily pounce on Arizona’s line. Also, the Chargers should come out angry at home after a frustrating loss to Seattle. They’re 5-0 ATS over their last five games following an ATS loss. The OVER looks like a solid play here; it’s 5-1 over San  Diego’s last six home games.

Redskins (1-2) vs Eagles (2-1)

The game of the week pits Donovan McNabb against his former team, the Philadelphia Eagles, who have the piping-hot Michael Vick leading them under center. But is the spread too wide for a divisional rivalry game? The road team (and underdog) is 5-1-1 over the last seven meetings. But Washington is 1-4-1 ATS over its last six overall.

Bears (3-0) vs Giants (1-2)

The hosting Giants are one of the colder teams around in betting circles. They’re 1-8 ATS over their last nine against teams with winning records. The road team has also beaten five straight spreads in this series. To top it off, Chicago is 4-1 ATS over its last five games. Could the Mike Martz era be a success?

MONDAY, OCTOBER 4

Patriots (2-1) vs Dolphins (2-1)

The Dolphins don’t take underdog status likely. They’re 7-1 ATS over their last eight games as a dog. They also relish divisional rivalry, having gone 8-2 ATS over their last 10 against the AFC East and 4-1 ATS over their last five against the visiting Patriots. The road team is, however, 5-1 ATS over the last six meetings between these two squads.
