Friday News and Notes

We nail our only play last night, a Wise Guy winner.  Tonight we have two Majors. We have a huge
one-day sale going today, 45
days for the price of one month.
For those not ready to commence being
among the sharps, we also have four-days for just $55.  We don’t gamble on superstition but we must
admit after a long stretch of brutal losses, finally winning a close one on Oregon
last night was an omen we’ve been waiting on to signal continuation of the
windfall.

Go 2-0 Friday to start out a huge weekend with tons of
bracket buster domination ahead.
Remember many of our top systems deal with non-conference games and
that’s why the bracket busters have been a “Godspicks-send” since the concept
started. The ENTIRE card is just $17 at www.godspicks.com.  We now
take virtually every credit card, PayPal and eCheck.

Princeton-Cornell

Press Notes

Cornell, who enters the weekend in third place in the
Ancient Eight standings with a 5-3 record, faces second place Princeton.

Akron-Nevada

Press Notes

Following a 50-49 come-from-behind victory over Louisiana
Tech on Monday night, the Nevada Wolf Pack (19-5, 9-3 WAC)
takes a break from conference action to play host to Mid-American Conference
East Division leader Akron (19-5,
12-2 MAC) on Friday night in the BracketBusters. Akron
brings a 19-5 overall record into Friday night’s game with the Wolf Pack and
has won 14 of its last 16 games.

Providence-Cincinnati

Cincinnati Enquirer

The University
of Cincinnati
’s victory over Syracuse
on Wednesday night really was a thing of beauty. Players who haven’t been
shooting well found their range. The Bearcats dominated the boards, scored
frequently in transition and stymied the Orange
defensively. The Bearcats (17-9 overall, 6-6 Big East) could use the same kind
of effort when they face Providence (11-11, 4-7) at 8 p.m. at Fifth Third Arena
in a game they simply can’t afford to lose if the Syracuse win is going to mean
as much as it should for their improving NCAA Tournament chances. The win over Syracuse
jumped UC from No. 33 in the Ratings Percentage Index
to No. 23. And three of UC’s last four games area at
home, where the Bearcats are 11-3 this season.
