Texas (6-0, 2-0) romped to a 38-14 win over Colorado and Jordan Shipley was the star of the show as the receiver caught 11 passes for 147 yards and a score, while running back a punt 74 yards for a touchdown. Colt McCoy was 32-of-39 for 265 yards, a touchdown and a pick, and the Longhorns also got touchdowns from their defense and special teams. Sam Bradford made a triumphant return to the lineup in Oklahoma’s (3-2, 1-0) 33-7 win, going 27-of-49 for 389 yards, a touchdown and a pick. The reigning Heisman winner looked a bit rusty to begin with, but he came on as the game progressed, and it doesn’t hurt that he has a great running game behind him as the Sooners ran for 203 yards. By comparison, they held Baylor to only six yards on the ground.

The Longhorns are a 3.5-point favorite in your handicapping software, and although they’ve dropped six of their last 10 overall to the Sooners, Texas has won three of the last four, including last year’s 45-35 shootout. The Longhorns have added motivation as well, as they lost out on the Big 12 title and a spot in the national-title game despite beating their rivals. Everyone will look to McCoy and Bradford, but it’s Shipley and the Texas defense that will be the stories. Shipley is arguably the best receiver in the nation, and the Texas defense has improved immensely. It won’t be a shootout like last year, but go with the Texas Longhorns in your sports picks.

The Cleveland Browns are at the Pittsburgh Steelers in what the sportsbooks expect to be a major mismatch. The NFL betting odds have the Steelers as a prohibitive 14 point favorite with the total at 38.

UL Monroe gets 4.9 yards per rush against teams normally allowing 4.6 and 7.7 passing yards per attempt to 7.0. However, they are below average on defense allowing 3.4 yards per rush to 3.2 and 6.7 yards per pass to 6.2.
