Saints vs. Patriots Spread Before Florida-Alabama Vegas Odds

The Florida vs. Alabama odds in the SEC Championship game has the Gators down to a 4.5 point favorite at BetUs Sportsbook.

While the nation’s best football handicapper has not yet weighed in on that game, all the focus is on ESPN Monday Night Football as the New England Patriots play at the New Orleans Saints.

The Patriots get just 4.0 yards per rush against teams normally allowing 4.2 but 7.5 yards per pass to 6.5. They allow 4.4 yards per rush to teams normally getting 4.5 and 6.0 yards per pass to 6.3.

Week 12 NFL Spreads, Grey Cup Odds, SEC Championship Vegas Line Posted

Courtesy of OddsShark.com.

The Elin Nordegren and Tiger Woods 911 tapes are almost as anticipated as the Nixon tapes. Ben Roethlisberger is out against the Baltimore Ravens.

The SEC Championship spread is out. The Alabama vs. Florida odds have the Gators -5.5. The Vegas odds on the total will be posted shortly.

Today in the Daily Sports Roundup: The Texans seek a win over the Colts, the Steelers take on the rival Ravens, and Calgary plays host to the 97th Grey Cup.

Colliding on the gridiron . . .

The Texans (5-5 SU, 5-4-1 ATS) will try to tag the Colts (10-0 SU, 6-4 ATS) with their first loss of the season on Sunday when the teams meet in Houston in early-afternoon NFL action. Houston was defeated 20-17 by the Titans on Monday night, with Matt Schaub throwing for 305 yards and two touchdowns in that loss. The Colts won their 10th straight game with a 17-15 victory in Baltimore last time out. Peyton Manning threw for 299 yards in that game, with one TD and two INTs. Oddsmakers have the Colts as 3.5-point faves, with the total at 47.5 points.

Other afternoon games on the NFL betting Sunday schedule: Miami (-3) at Buffalo, Seattle (-3) at St. Louis, Washington at Philadelphia (-9), Tampa Bay at Atlanta (-12), Cleveland at Cincinnati (-14), Carolina at the Jets (-3), Kansas City at San Diego (-14), Jacksonville at San Francisco (-3), Arizona at Tennessee (-3), and Chicago at Minnesota (-11). The Bears (4-6 SU, 4-6 ATS) were beaten 24-20 by the Eagles last week, and the Vikings (9-1 SU, 6-3-1 ATS) trounced Seattle 35-9.

As well, the NFL’s Sunday night matchup for the week has Pittsburgh at Baltimore. The Steelers (6-4 SU, 3-7 ATS) will be looking to bounce back from an 27-24 overtime loss in Kansas City last week, with Ben Roethlisberger throwing for 398 yards with three TDs and two INTs before getting knocked out of the game. The Ravens got 256 yards and one interception from Joe Flacco in their loss to the Colts last weekend, while Billy Cundiff paced the offense with five FGs.

The free picks section has several NFL winners from around the pick nation if bettors go through the archives from earlier in the week as well.

Meanwhile, the Canadian Football League will stage the Grey Cup on Sunday night, with Montreal taking on Saskatchewan at Calgary‘s McMahon Stadium. The Alouettes won the East Final last week, rolling past British Columbia in a 56-18 home win. The Roughriders picked up a win at home in the West Final, beating Calgary 27-17. Oddsmakers have the Alouettes listed as 9.5-point favorites for Sunday’s championship, with the total for the contest at 55.5 points at SportsBook .

Tipping off on the hardwood . . .

The NBA offers up 10 games on Sunday, with Phoenix at Toronto, Atlanta at Detroit, Memphis at the Clippers, Orlando at New York, Boston at Miami, Philadelphia at San Antonio, Houston at Oklahoma City, Minnesota at Denver, New Orleans at Sacramento, and New Jersey at the Lakers. Kobe Bryant and company took a break from their homestand with a game at Golden State on Saturday night; the Lakers sit at 9-2 SU and 6-5 ATS at home so far this season.

On the college hardwood there are games in the Old Spice Classic and 76 Classic tournaments on Sunday, along with a matchup between No. 3 Texas and Rice at Tudor Fieldhouse. The Longhorns (4-0 SU, 4-0 ATS) beat Pittsburgh 78-62 in the CBE Classic championship on Tuesday. Damion Jones poured in 20 points for Texas in that win, while guard Varez Ward suffered a leg injury during warmups and is done for the year. Rice is at 4-1 SU and 1-3 ATS so far this year.

Taking a trip around the rink . . .

Finally, there are just two games on the National Hockey League’s schedule for Sunday, with San Jose at Vancouver and Phoenix at Anaheim. The Coyotes and Ducks met back on November 7 in Southern California, with Anaheim pulling out the 4-3 home victory. Teemu Selanne, Bobby Ryan, Corey Perry, and Mike Brown scored for the Ducks in that win, while Keith Yandle, Scottie Upshall, and Shane Doan replied for the Coyotes. Jonas Hiller made 27 saves in that victory.

Week 12 NFL Spread Picks Free

More anticipated than the Tiger Woods 911 tapes, one not need have a PhD from the College of the Ozarks to jingle all the way to banks for the top football spread week 12 predictions.

Among the best handicappers in the pick nation is Matt Rivers, who will give gamblers a big time rush with a free sports pick for Sunday. Rivers NFL pick is to go with the Titans minus 2.5 at Bodog hosting Arizona

Something has got to give today and I know which side I think will give. Arizona has amazingly won all five of its road games this season but Tennessee has been on-fire of late winning its last four games overall.

My money is that the banged up Kurt Warner and the visiting Cardinals will not keep up this pace away from the desert. Arizona has not been a team that has traveled all that well over the years and we saw that first hand a season ago in the regular season when they were embarassed time and time again. The games were not even close with that debacle in New England being the capper late in the season.

Ken Whisenhunt’s gang obviously turned things around in the playoffs as they shocked Carolina and they do have a great offense led by Warner, Larry Fitzgerald, Anquan Boldin and a revamped running attack but going back across the country against is just not happening again today.

Tennessee has new life and actually is somewhat in the playoff picture if they continue to win games. Chris Johnson may be the most dominant player in the entire NFL as his speed is beyond belief and Vince Young, love him or hate him, does just seem to win a ton somehow, someway.

Jeff Fisher is a great coach who has a team that is a lot intact from the 13 win season last year. Why did they start 0-6? I have absolutely no idea but that is not the team we will see today and to ask them to pretty much only have to win this game at home is fine with me.
