NY Yankees vs. Boston MLB Betting Picks

OffshoreInsiders.com Senior Sports Handicapper Matt Rivers has a baseball pick Saturday and it is on the NY Yankees (+120) to Boston.

When push comes to shove, 1-6 or not 1-6, I do think the Red Sox are the overall superior team when compared to the Yankees and the boys from Beantown showed that yesterday in their first victory. But these New York-Boston rivalry games are always high scoring slugfests that can go either way and in the end I’ll grab a solid price back on the still super talented Yankees.

One can never go wrong when getting such a takeback with Alex Rodriguez, Mark Teixeira, Derek Jeter, Brett Gardner, Nick Swisher and the rest of the Bronx Bombers. This team has been there and done that and Joe Girardi’s squad can without a doubt win this game. It’s not like the Yankee players are going to be intimidated by the Fenway faithful. Guys like Jeter and Arod and Rivera are guys who have won there and will win there again.

Ivan Nova is a young kid who knows how to get himself in trouble at times but the right-hander also knows how to get himself out of it and I like this guy. He doesn’t have the blue chip no-hit, when on, type stuff of Clay Bucholz but I don’t fully trust the Boston right-hander in Fenway against the potent Pinstripers. Sure Nova will get hit a bit but so will Bucholz and I don’t expect either guy to really last all that long.

The Sox drew first blood in the opener and there is no doubt that the Yanks can even up the series by getting enough from Nova and more from the offense.

Top expert pick on this game: NY Yankees

For more information: An extremely rare and poor Friday but the funny thing is that it’s not like I made dreadful calls. The beats were horrible and if you were following how everything went down you know as such. The Wizards were literally within 4 points and getting 13 ½ with seven minutes left in the game before getting outscored 17-2 to end it, save a meaningless three at the buzzer. The Cavs were right at the number and missed a slam dunk at the end for the cover and the Phillies had an all world superstar in Cliff Lee on the bump leading 3-0 before inexplicably blowing it thanks in part to an uncharacteristically horrible fielding play by Shane Victorino which allowed three runs to score. It happens, breaks at times will all go against you and that about sums up Friday.

I am still ridiculously ahead of the game and will put yet another winning notch in my belt today with a pair of locks on the diamond. 300,000* Toronto-Anaheim plus a 200,000* St. Louis-San Francisco. About to be 27 of 35 winning days! Click now to purchase

NBA Free Picks

OffshoreInsiders.com Senior Sports Handicapper Matt Rivers has a Friday pick and it is on the LA Clippers (+9) at Dallas.

Reasoning: I like what the Clippers are doing right now and I’m going to roll with them tonight against the suddenly scuffling Mavericks. When healthy this Los Angeles team is very competitive and that is exactly what they have been of late. Meanwhile the Mavericks are a beat up squad that is suddenly limping into the postseason. Both Jason Kidd and Tyson Chandler are banged up and things have not been all that great of late for Marc Cuban’s squad.

The Clippers have a lot of pieces to work with led by a beast in Blake Griffin. Throw in the now healthy Chris Kaman and Eric Gordon along with Randy Foye and Mo Williams and these guys have a great shot to win this game. The Clips beat Kevin Durant, Russell Westbrook and the Thunder in comeback fashion at home on Saturday, then again won outright at Memphis as the monster dog on Tuesday and followed that up with another solid outing and cover the next night at Oklahoma City. LA was a 10 ½ point dog in that last game and was tied in the waning seconds before losing by four points. The oddsmakers are just not believing or more importantly catching up with the times.

The Mavs at home in the regular season are always very good and they may be very good today. But things have not been hunky dory of late in this four game losing streak as the offense has been pretty bad and the defense has been even worse.

It’s as if these two teams are going in opposite directions with the Clippers the one that is on the way up and the Mavs the team that seems to be on the way down. Road or not I’m rolling with Blake and the boys.

Top expert pick on this game: LA Clippers

For more information: Absolutely nothing at all can slow me down right now, nothing! I am in the midst of quite possibly the greatest run in the history of sports gambling and I mean that literally. 26 winning days compared to 7 losing days and the profit is north of 8 million*. To put that number in perspective my highest rated play is only a 500,000* and those are ultra-rare.

A 400,000* on the White Sox, 5-1 turned the trick yesterday and now I am full steam ahead into Friday as I begin another Crookie smacking weekend. A whopping four plays including not one, but two NBA 400,000* along with a pair of 200,000* baseball plays. All of the plays go at night with the earliest at 7:35. 4-0 and going over 9 million*? You better believe it! Get his great card

Hottest Sports Handicapper in the World Free Bet

OffshoreInsiders.com Senior Sports Handicapper Matt Rivers Thursday is on the Boston Red Sox (-1.5, -110) to the Cleveland Indians.

Reasoning: There is no debate that Terry Francona’s Sox have been terrible thus far in the 2011 season but settle down because Boston is still a great team and Jon Lester is still a great pitcher.

The boys from Beantown do not have a victory, which is very hard to believe, but they also haven’t played at Fenway Park yet and are going to be just fine. Their southpaw is a stud who beat Cancer and has shined when the lights are brightest and is the perfect guy to get things going up against a well inferior Cleveland team. I’ll give the Tribe credit for looking like the superior team so far in this series but that is not close to being the case and to get the road Sox with all 9 at bats and lay around 110 by giving up an extra run is fine with me in this spot. Boston is extremely due to bust out and not only win but do so going away something like 11-2.

Fausto Carmona and his sinker had one great season about four years ago but injuries and regression have killed him ever since and right now this guy is not even average. He is going to get smacked around here by Gonzalez, Crawford, Pedroia, Ellsbury, Ortiz and others and the Sox are no longer going to be winless.

I can see one of those vintage Lester complete game gems tonight after not looking great in his first start. Cleveland has potential with Choo, Santana and Hafner but in reality they are still only about a 75 win team at best and the more complete and sound team is going to get in the win column today.

Top expert pick on this game: Boston Red Sox on the runline.

For more information: Yet another monster 2-1 winning Wednesday as the 500,000* on the Clippers covers easily in the end to go along with the 200,000* on the Angels, 5-1. It’s almost becoming silly and to be honest with you a little unfair to that Crookie. Actually, scratch that about it being unfair. Screw him. Think about what I am in the midst of, 25 winning days compared to seven losing days, yes seven, and the net profit is north of 8 million* when the biggest play I release and that is rare is only 500,000*.

Just more of the same today but due note that both of my baseball games go pretty early in the afternoon so get them ASAP. 400,000* White Sox-Rays and 300,000* A’s-Blue Jays. I am the best and will be just that one more time! Click now to purchase

Day Underdog Baseball Picks

OffshoreInsiders.com Senior Sports Handicapper Matt Rivers  Pittsburgh Pirates (+164) to St. Louis.

I have been rolling with the Pirates so far early on this season for two reason. One is that I don’t think they’re terrible and two, the teams they are playing in the Cubs and Cardinals are just not very good. Pittsburgh is obviously behind the eight ball from the get go up against Chris Carpenter today but besides Albert Pujols Tony LaRussa’s team truly has very little. Losing Matt Holliday was big and the injury to Adam Wainwright was pretty much an original deathblow to any hopes the Redbirds had this season.

Kevin Correia isn’t anything more than a journeyman pitcher but he has been around the block for years now and has enough to hold his own against a struggling and not very good lineup. Even Pujols has looked very human thus far and until I see any signs of life from this team I am just fine taking back a pretty penny from them, Carpenter or no Carpenter.

When all is said and done this Pittsburgh team will be somewhere in the neighborhood of 70-75 wins which isn’t very good but they have started off well and with McCutchen, Walker and Jones leading the way we really may truly have the better overall team on the field today. Pitching is certainly a lot of an equation and they have that with a stud on the hill but at this price I’ll grab the quality price and take my chances.

Top expert pick on this game: Pittsburgh

For more information: 500K is night NBA. I’m going to repeat myself once again because how can I not. It’s flat out the single greatest run in the history of sports gambling and overall has become like stealing! A 2-0 Tuesday hoops sweep with the 400,000* Wizards and 300,000* Cavaliers after the 400,000* on UCONN on Monday won going away as I dismantle the Crookie every single freakin’ day.  It’s now am insane 7.8 million* of profit over the past 31 days as I’ve won 24 of those days. I am far from done and will continue to prove over and over and over again that I am the best there is in this industry.

I’m raising that bar with a monster and highest rated 500,000* Lock of my Life on a sick NBA dog along with a night 200,000* affair on the diamond with the night Tigers-Orioles. Just another ho hum 3-0 sweep? You bet your arse! Click now to purchase

NBA Expert: Big Underdog Get the Number Tonight

OffshoreInsiders.com Senior Sports Handicapper Matt Rivers has a free sports pick on the Golden State Warriors (+10.5) to Portland.

This is probably the fifth or sixth comp play over the past few weeks that I have released on Golden State and it’s not an accident. I don’t just cut and paste analysis to take the easy way out but my feelings have been consistent with this Warrior squad. The record isn’t good and the team isn’t the deepest or the best but these guys have four high quality players and all in all are a solid big dog.

The road has not been very kind to tonight’s visitors and I understand that. They have been blown out of some games away from home and I’m not saying that can’t happen here. But State did just upset Dirk and the Mavericks as the 5 ½ point pup and with Monta Ellis, Stephen Curry, Dorell Wright and David Lee are fairly competent. It’s a bunch of talent, and frankly too much, to be getting double digits from a good but certainly not great Portland team.

The Trailblazers have held up nicely throughout a lot of issues and injuries including Greg Oden and Brandon Roy and are always pretty good at the Rose Garden. I still though am not enamored by anybody not named LaMarcus Aldridge on this roster. Certainly the former Texas Longhorn has blown up this season into a great player but the rest of the team really doesn’t scare me all that much.

45-32 is very good and the Blazers definitely should be too good in terms of the outright but the Warriors have covered both meetings this season including a seven point win and I’m betting that this thing is closer than the oddsmakers seem to believe as well.

Top expert pick on this game: Golden State

For more information: Matt Rivers says: I’m going to repeat myself because how can I not? It’s flat out thee single greatest run in the history of sports gambling and overall has become like stealing, truly! The 400,000* on UConn yesterday won going away after dismantling the Crookie for pretty much the entire 2011. That’s another 400,000* yesterday, 1.2 million* of profit over the last two days alone and a whopping 7.1 million* over the past 30 days as I’ve won 23 of those days. I am far from done and will continue to prove over and over and over again that I am the best there is in this industry.

Just another 400,000* winner today highlighting yet another 3-0 sweep of the board. A pair in the NBA including a 400,000* and a 300,000* along with a 200,000* on the diamond. All three winners go at night and all three will win with absolute ease. If anybody on this planet doubts me then they are and will be the fool! Click now to purchase

Baseball Sports Service Picks

OffshoreInsiders.com Senior Sports Handicapper and baseball betting expert Matt Rivers  has a pick on the Pittsburgh Pirates (+138) against St. Louis.

Hey, why not? Don’t mess with the scrappy little Bucos as they truly should have just swept the series at Wrigley from the Cubs as the visitors completely dominated that thing and aren’t as dreadful as some may think.

Don’t get me wrong, Pittsburgh is still a bad major league team that shouldn’t win many more than 70 games but they do have some potential with Jones, McCutchen and a few others and Charlie Morton is a former Brave who every now and then shows a quality upside. McCutchen did sit out yesterday’s game with neck spasms but I hope and do think he should be all right today.

In the last spring start Morton shut down the Phillies at Citizens Bank and despite his terrible numbers a season ago isn’t all that bad. Is he better than Kyle Lohse? To be honest with you he quite possibly is and the way things are going with the Cardinals I have no qualms at all about taking back a price like this against them.

Tony LaRussa’s team is in trouble, they really are. Losing Adam Wainwright was disastrous, then the way they fell in the opening game to the Padres thanks in part to that two out tying home run in the 9th inning was horrendous and then the injury a few hours later to Matt Holliday was brutal and maybe more of a sign to come with this team. The Redbirds did finally win that game yesterday to get in the win column but there isn’t much besides Albert in the St. Louis lineup and I sure as heck do not trust Lohse and especially not when laying this price.

The St. Louis right-hander is interesting. When he is on he can be on for a few months and look like a borderline All-Star. But when the guy is off which we saw last season through the injuries he is extremely hittable and not good at all.

Pittsburgh without a doubt can win this game and to get such a pretty penny back from what may be a bad Cardinal team cannot be fully passed up.

Top expert pick on this game: Pittsburgh from Matt Rivers

For more information: It’s flat out the single greatest run in the history of sports gambling and overall has become like stealing, truly! The 400,000* Wizards plus 9 won outright by 6 in a game they led by as many as 19 and the 300,000* Orioles plus 145 won going away 5-1 in an easy four hitter from a kid making his major league debut. That’s another 800,000* plus of profit as I continue to prove over and over and over again that I am the best there is in this industry.

Butler is 28-9 straight up and 20-13 against the spread, going over 20-14. UConn is 31-9 outright, 22-12 according to the Vegas sportsbooks lines. They’ve gone under 19-14 this season. Suffice to say, both teams enter with nice spread streaks, Butler covering seven straight, Connecticut 9-of-10. The Huskies have gone under 5-of-6.

Butler scores 72.1 points per game to teams that normally allow 67.2 on 44.1 percent shooting to 43.2.  Butler permits 64.4 points per game to teams normally getting 69.1 on 42.6 percent shooting to 43.9.

Spread betting trends (all records are against the spread): The Bulldogs are 7-0 in NCAA Tournament games as an underdog, 7-0 off straight up win, 22-4 vs. a team with a winning % above .600, 41-16 nonconference games, 27-11 on neutral courts.

The Huskies 10-1 in nonconference games, 20-6 on neutral courts, 20-8 vs. a team with a winning % above .600, but 6-15 as a favorite of 0.5-6.5.

Top expert pick on this game: It’s from the winningest sports service of all-time GodsTips. We swept the semis with Butler, Connecticut, and Connecticut under. Cavs at Knicks Point Spread Picks

OffshoreInsiders.com Senior Sports Handicapper Matt Rivers has a free pick Sunday is on the Cleveland Cavaliers (+11.5) to the NY Knicks.

Reasoning: Sure Cleveland stinks and talent wise can’t hold a candle to Amare, Carmelo and the Knicks but somehow Byron Scott’s squad is 3-0 this season against the boys from New York and to get a dozen or so tonight seems like a bit much.

I am not going to act as if the Cavaliers are going to sweep the season series because they’re not. The Knicks are going to win this game and fatten themselves up a bit as this soft schedule comes to bare but Mike D’Antoni’s team still is not playing well defensively and therefore can’t be laying such a hefty price. The Knicks looked flat out lousy in having to come back to defeat the Nets the other night allowing Brook Lopez and Kris Humphries to control a lot of the paint and are just not very good right now.

Since the trade with Denver things have gone fairly rough. Yes the New Yorkers looked really good in the comeback win down in South Beach about a month ago, and I do expect some wins coming up, but there have been a lot of losses since and therefore to get a number like this is certainly worth it. JJ Hickson has been playing at a high level and guys like Baron Davis, Ramon Sessions and Boobie Gibson are capable and worthy of a play tonight.

15-60 is beyond dreadful but three of those victories came against the Knicks and maybe, just maybe, there’s something to that. Even if not a dozen is a ton to get and always-backdoor territory.

For more information: That’s right, a 400,000* on UConn outright and a 300,000* On Butler. The only loser was the 200,000* Pirates plus 165 blowing a 3-0 8th inning lead. I am absolutely feeling great and continually destroying that Crookie and I mean destroying!

A pair of Sunday winners as I begin a new week with the same incredible results. Get another big-time 400,000* NBA underdog winner plus a 300,000* afternoon lock on the diamond. Two more fire hot locks! Rivers picks are up now at OffshoreInsiders.com

Vegas Matty Picks Come Tuesday

Vegas Matty debuts Tuesday. He is a sample of what you will get.

Denver Nuggets (46-29) at Los Angeles Lakers (55-20)

Analysis: The two-time defending NBA champion Los Angeles Lakers have been nearly unstoppable since the All-Star break with an unreal 17-1 record straight-up.  But the Lakers have been much more mortal against the spread during that stretch with a 12-6 mark, including 3-4 in their past seven games.  These Denver Nuggets will also be playing LA for the first time since getting rid of Carmelo Anthony, their former star who took his talents to the Big Apple in a blockbuster trade right before the Lakers went on their run.  The Nuggets enjoyed past success against Los Angeles with Anthony, going 1-4-1 ATS in the last six meetings.  They have been a better team without him though with a 14-4 record and incredible 15-2-1 ATS mark.  The Lakers expended a lot of energy on Friday during their comeback from a 17-point deficit in the second quarter at Utah in an eventual 96-85 victory, and they are just 24-23 ATS when playing on one day of rest this season.  That trend alone makes this game a toss-up, and the others also point in Denver’s direction.  Since this is a nationally televised game, the line is a bit inflated with more people betting LA.  Take the Nuggets to keep it close and stay within the seven points.

Pick: Nuggets +7

San Francisco Giants (1-2) at Los Angeles Dodgers (2-1)

Analysis: The San Francisco Giants looked like the defending World Series champions on Saturday in a 10-0 rout of the Los Angeles Dodgers, but do not forget what happened in the first two games of this series.  The Dodgers outdueled the Giants on the mound, which is exactly what should happen on Sunday Night Baseball.  In the latest meeting, LA’s Ted Lilly got knocked out after giving up four runs in 4.2 innings, but Hiroki Kuroda should be able to right the ship and give the home team a series victory against their division rivals.  Kuroda had a 3.39 ERA last season, and that number was up just slightly vs. the Giants at 3.56.  He also owns San Francisco’s Freddy Sanchez, who has only two hits in 12 career at-bats against him.  Barry Zito takes the mound for the Giants after getting into an auto accident in West Hollywood on Wednesday.  Zito was deemed fit to pitch after a throwing session on Friday, but that does not mean he was able to go back in time to find his Cy Young form.  He was so bad at the end of last season (1-10 with a 5.19 ERA in his last 15 appearances) that he was left off San Francisco’s postseason roster during the team’s World Series run.  Zito went 0-3 against the Dodgers last year, getting just five runs of support.  LA slugger Matt Kemp has more hits against Zito (18) than any other pitcher, so look for him to shine and allow the Dodgers faithful to go home happy.

Pick: Dodgers -140
