Free NFL Picks: Bills-Jets at Betus Sportsbook

Elite NFL handicapper Matt Rivers has a big Thursday. His biggest picks are versus the college basketball betting odds and college football odds but he has a free pick and it’s to  Bills plus the points.

Buffalo is not very good at 4-7 but I will wholeheartedly tell you that they are not a bad team at all and are a lot better than the poor record indicates. Guys like Terrell Owens, Lee Evans and Marshawn Lynch are no joke and “at home” here up in
Canada without a doubt can win this game.

The season snowballed a bit in a negative way on Dick Jauron and it cost him his job. Things though have been a little better since the firing as this team went to Jacksonville and outplayed the Jaguars in that tough late loss but easy cover. Last week the Bills showed a ton of heart in dismantling the Dolphins 24-0 in the fourth quarter to win 31-14. The playoffs are certainly out of the question but these guys are still undervalued and right now who the heck are the Jets?

New York has a terrible quarterback in Marc Sanchez who imploded horrifically in the first meeting about six weeks ago. The former USC signal caller is used to his warm weather and was intercepted an amazing five times in that overtime loss. Last week Sanchez was banged up and is just not very good or trustworthy right now. Obviously Ryan Fitzpatrick and that Harvard education is no Jim Kelly or Joe Namath himself but when push comes to shove I truly would trust Fitzpatrick to take care of the ball a little better at this point in their respective careers.

Let’s also not forget how the Jets started out the season 3-0 and then lost two huge cogs in Kris Jenkins and Leon Washington and things have been pretty much downhill ever since. Rex Ryan will bring some pressure with his defense and I certainly do love Darrelle Revis but with two solid receivers in Evans and Owens there is a whole nother side of the field to do some damage on.

New York has dropped three of four both SU and ATS on the road and 6 of 8 but SU and ATS overall. They were handed a gift last week by Jake Delhomme who should be in the UFL next season if that league is still around.

The Bills are not a bad team at all and without a doubt should win this game and end the Jets season.

Again sports handicapper Matt Rivers says go with Buffalo +3 at Bodog against the NY Jets.

NFL Betting – Week 13 Picks

While most people are making their Florida Alabama betting picks for the coming week, there is lots of other action in the online sportsbook. Here is a look at some NFL Week 13 Matchups:

Philadelphia Eagles @ Atlanta Falcons
Racebook Odds: Eagles -5

The Atlanta Falcons are going to be in tough this week as the injuries continue to pile up. This week, the Falcons will be without their starting quarterback Matt Ryan, they’ll be without their starting running back in Michael Turner and they’ll be without their starting left tackle Sam Baker. Oh yeah, the Philadelphia Eagles are visiting.

The Eagles will also have a key injury as wide receiver DeSean Jackson will likely miss this contest with a concussion, but the Eagles are stocked at the position.

The Falcons needed a miracle to defeat the Tampa Bay Buccaneers last week as they waited until a fourth and goal to get the game-winning touchdown with less than one minute to play. The Bucs are one of the worst teams in the NFL whereas the Eagles are one of the better units.

The biggest issue for the Falcons last week was that their defense continues to give up big plays. They lead the NFL in receiving plays allowed of 20+ yards and now they face a passing-oriented offense. Expect the Falcons to get thrashed in this contest as it is a very bad matchup for them.

Pick: Eagles -5

Detroit Lions @ Cincinnati Bengals
NFL Pick Betting Odds: Bengals -12.5

Just one week after facing one of the worst teams in the AFC, the Bengals get set to face one of the worst teams in the NFC. The Cleveland Browns posted no threat to the Bengals last week and it is very likely that the Lions end up with the same fate.

The Bengals have proven to be one of the best teams in the AFC and their running game has really separated them. They now have a stable of backs including Cedric Benson, Larry Johnson and Bernard Scott that are all capable of churning out yards on the ground.

The Lions have played valiant for coach Jim Schwartz but they really don’t have the talent to win this game. Expect their defense to get gashed once again as the Bengals present the Lions with another loss.

Pick: Bengals -12.5

Free College Basketball Pick For Tuesday

Jokes about Tiger Woods abound and in fact betting odds are posted on all things concerning the Tiger Woods affairs with Jaimee Grubbs, Kalika Moquin, Rachel Uchitel and the growing list. Is Monica Lewinsky next?

Meanwhile stud basketball handicapper Matt Rivers has a free pick. It’s to go with Georgia Tech minus the points hosting Siena. BetUs Sportsbook has them laying six points. Rivers reports:

Paul Hewitt will have his team ready for this one, you can bank on that. The Georgia Tech head coach is the former Siena coach. Granted that is now a long time ago as he has been a Yellow Jacket for awhile but there is something about playing a former school, whether it is a player or coach, that has guys extra excited.

Don’t get me wrong, the Siena Saints are probably once again the best team in the MAC and a very good team overall. They are not a squad that can only compete on their level with the Niagara‘s and Iona‘s of the world. These guys will bring some game today to Atlanta but in the end the talent is too much for the Jackets.

Derrick Favors is more than likely one and done for Tech as this kid is a stud. If not for the recent rule implemented by the NBA he very well may be a professional right now. Throw in blossoming beast in Gani Lawal and a few other quality players like Iman Shumpert, Brian Oliver and Zach Peacock and you can see why this team is a top 25 team after the horrific season last year. The talent is without a doubt there right now. Shoot, it was there last season but things just snowballed in unlucky ridiculous fashion thanks to a lot of early overtime and tight losses.

Alex Franklin and the visitors will compete and stay in this thing but in the end at Alexander Memorial Coliseum the Jackets are going to have a bit too much sting in the end as they pull away for the probable double digit victory.

Tiger Woods Jokes, Jaime Grubbs, Kalika Moquin and More

Taking a breaking from dominating the NFL point spread and college football odds, we decided to collect the best Tiger Woods affair jokes from around the web.

What’s the difference between a car and a golf ball? Tiger can drive a ball 400 yards.

Elin found out he’s not a Tiger, he’s a Cheetah.

Tiger just hates it when he drives, and then his balls hit a tree.

Elin Nordegren got hired today as a consultant. She’s teaching Phil Mickelson how to beat Tiger.

Tiger’s confused. Every other time he made a hole-in-one, everyone was all happy about it.

Tiger said the fault of the accident was his Escalade. It’s typical of a golfer—always blame the caddy.

Tiger’s car still runs, but it goes “putt, putt, putt…”

What do baby seals and Tiger Woods have in common? Both were clubbed by a Scandanavian.

Tiger Woods is so rich that he owns lots of expensive cars. Now he has a hole in one

Tiger Woods is tree under.

Tiger woods has a lot of cars, now he has a “hole in one”.

What was Elin Nordegren doing at 2:30 in the morning? She was clubbing.

Tiger Woods has been dropped by Gilette after admitting this incident was his closest shave ever.

Many sportsbooks have posted odds on the Tiger Woods voicemail and transgressions. Will nude Jaimee Grubbs pics or Kalika Moquin pictures be on Playboy? Will there be a Tiger Woods divorce? Will Tiger hook up with Meredith Baxter and Nancy Locke? There are bets on seemingly all things Tiger says Mike Godsey of OffshoreInsiders.com

Tiger Woods Odds More Viral Than Jaimee Grubbs Pics and Meredith Baxter/Nancy Locke

While football bettors monitor the latest Alabama-Florida line, Tiger Woods affair betting odds abound for the paparazzi.

There is probably a bad joke about “Tiger Woods proposition bets” but BetUs Sportsbook has posted some odds relevant to where his putter has been. After seeing the Jaimee Grubbs pics we think Elin Nordegren should give Eldrick a mulligan or 20 for his transgressions.

Will Woods be married to Nordegren on New Year’s Eve? The entertainment and political betting odds says yes at -225 is likely. Separated but not divorced is even money, divorced +400 and remarried is +5000.

Remarried to whom? We are sure not to Family Ties mom Meredith Baxter Birney according to the Tiger Woods voicemail. She’s taken by Nancy Locke. Not to imply that Tiger would turn down the parlay though.

Kalika Moquin is the latest entrant with Ms. Grubbs to be the next Tiger Woods wife.  The aforestated sportsbook also posted odds on if Tiger Woods cheating will lead to him losing any of his sponsorships. No is -500. Trojan prophylactics could be next for Woods being a spokesman

Meanwhile Bodog betting odds on Will Tiger Woods’ reported mistress Rachel Uchitel pose for Playboy by December 31st 2010? No is -180.

Irish bookmaker Paddy Power has odds on the cost of the divorce settlement with “over $500 million” being 20-1. They’ve also posted lines on if Nordegren enrolls in anger management class or if she enters the Women’s LPGA Golf tour in 2010.

Other celebrity betting lines have Sports Betting Sportsbook posting odds on what Oprah Winfrey will give away on her last show.

Grandmaster sports handicapper Joe Duffy says that he will stick to winning sports picks but does believe Woods will stay married.

NCAA Football Betting – Championship Week Picks

While most people in the sports betting community will be focused on their Florida Alabama picks this weekend, there are plenty of other games with BCS implications.

New Mexico State Aggies @ Boise State Broncos
Sportsbook Odds: Boise State -47.5

The Boise State Broncos are the fifth-best team in the nation and they need to keep winning in emphatic fashion to make sure that they do get into a BCS bowl. On Saturday, they shouldn’t have any problems with that as the New Mexico State Aggies come to visit.

The Broncos are always dominant on their smurf turf but this should be a destruction of epic proportions. The Aggies haven’t topped 21 points in any contest this year and has scored a total of 46 points in their last six games combined. Meanwhile, Boise State hasn’t scored less than 44 points in any of their last six games.

As the tale of the tape shows, this will be a very one-sided game. The Broncos have plenty of weapons and they have plenty of motivation. For the Aggies, they have lost six straight games are really have nothing to play for.

As you should expect, this game will be extremely one-sided. Lay the points with the Broncos – as crazy as that sounds.

Picks: Boise State -47.5

Arizona Wildcats @ USC Trojans
College Football Lines: USC -7.5

The USC Trojans don’t usually lose at home. In the Pete Carroll era, the Trojans have lost just twice at home and both losses came to the Stanford Cardinal. Clearly, the Wildcats task is going to be a difficult one this weekend.

Two weeks ago, Arizona was considered a Rose Bowl contender. When Oregon was visiting, they actually controlled their own destiny a couple of weeks back but now the Wildcats are just another mediocre Pac 10 team.

The Wildcats did squeak by over their rivals Arizona State but if you look at this teams body of work, which has produced seven wins and four losses, it quickly becomes evident that they’ll have a tough time at USC this weekend.

The Trojans have their swagger back after a bye week and after a dismantling of rival UCLA. This game won’t be pretty as the defenses will dominate but Arizona just won’t score enough points to win.

Pick: USC -7.5
