Borrow Leaps Lawrence in Heisman Odds, Roethlisberger, Brees Injuries Seismic Shift in Super Bowl Odds

With Ben Roethlisberger done for the season and Drew Brees out at least a month, oddsmakers made significant adjustments to their season projections Monday morning. Winning spread picks and OU at OffshoreInsiders.com is far from the only way to make large amounts of loot.

According to numbers provided by SportsBetting, which are below, the Steelers are now in the bottom half of the league in terms of Super Bowl and AFC odds. The Saints also slipped, but not quite as much. And New Orleans is still the favorite in the NFC South.

Saints (odds from last week to this week)
Super Bowl: 9-1 to 20-1
NFC: 5-1 to 10-1
South: -200 to -125
(preseason: 8-1, 9-2 and -150)

Steelers (odds from last week to this week)
Super Bowl: 28-1 to 66-1
AFC: 14-1 to 33-1
North: +175 to +600
(preseason: 16-1, 8-1 and +125)

In the collegiate ranks, there hasn’t been much change in the CFP odds for the top teams. However, Joe Burrow made a sizable leap in the Heisman race, according to the oddsmakers. He was listed at 18-1 last week. Shea Patterson saw the largest drop since last week, going from 22-1 to 66-1.
