Florida Atlantic-Central Michigan Gambling Preview

Oddsmakers like the Chippewas in this contest, as they’re pegged as 7-point favorites with a total of 67 points for the matchup according to BetUs Sportsbook . Central Michigan went 6-5 on the OVER/UNDER this year, while Florida Atlantic wound up with a 4-8 OU mark.

Other Notable Events

The Celtics follow up their Christmas Day clash with the Lakers with a Friday night contest in Golden State. The Warriors have lost two games in a row and seven of their past 10 outings to see their season record fade to a miserable 8-22.

Motor City Bowl: Florida Atlantic vs. Central Michigan Preview

Florida Atlantic Owls got a bowl bid at 6-6 after winning an overtime game to end the regular season. The Central Michigan Chippewas lost another high-scoring game to end the year at 8-4. Now both teams will be trying to pick up a win December 26 when they battle at Ford Field in the Motor City Bowl.
Oddsmakers currently have the Chippewas listed as 7-point favorites versus the Owls, while the game’s total is sitting at 68.
Florida Atlantic came back in the dying seconds and then prevailed in overtime with a 57-50 victory over Florida International in Week 14. Florida Atlantic covered the 4.5-point spread, and the combined 107 points sailed OVER the posted total of 50.5.
Rusty Smith threw five touchdown passes and finished with 389 yards passing in the win.

Surprise, surprise – Hawaii is in the Hawaii Bowl! The Notre Dame Fighting Irish head to the islands on Christmas Eve to battle the Warriors at Aloha Stadium in the Hawaii Bowl.
The Warriors have played in four of the past six games and opened as small favorites to win it again.
Oddsmakers currently have the Fighting Irish listed as 2-point favorites versus the Warriors, while the game’s total is sitting at 49.
Notre Dame gained just 96 total yards in a 38-3 loss to USC in Week 14, as 32-point underdogs. The 41 points went UNDER the posted total of 50.

Greg Alexander had two TD passes in Hawaii’s 29-24 loss to Cincinnati in Week 15.

The Boise State Broncos didn’t lose a game all season long, but despite that feat they’re still stuck in a pre-Christmas bowl game this year. The Broncos (12-0 straight-up, 8-3 against-the-spread) ended their regular season in style, blasting Fresno State by a score of 61-10 as they rolled to top spot in the WAC standings.

Boise State’s Poinsettia Bowl opponent will be the TCU Horned Frogs, who finished the season at 10-2 SU and 8-3 ATS. The Horned Frogs’ only losses this year came versus ranked opponents – Oklahoma and Utah. TCU got past Air Force 44-10 in their last game, but they will be missing linebacker Robert Henson on Tuesday night – the star player is out for the game due to academic reasons.

Nevertheless the oddsmakers have TCU pegged as 3-point favorites at BetUs Sportsbook  and NewBodog, with the total at 46 points. Both the Horned Frogs and Broncos were 5-6 versus the totals.

A Peek at the Future

There is just one game on the schedule for Wednesday – a Christmas Eve matchup between Hawaii and Notre Dame in the Hawaii Bowl (8:00pm ET). The Fighting Irish are pegged as 1.5-point favorites in that matchup, with the total at 48 points . . . Christmas Day only has NBA this year, with five games on the hardwood. The Celtics/Lakers matchup at 5:00pm ET is the highlight of the day.
