NFL Sports Betting Picks and Vegas Odds Spread Breakdowns

For those ready to beat the NFL odds, here are quarterback rotations, news and notes and more for tonight’s NFL action to beat the NFL preseason lines

Saturday, August 22

Panthers-Dolphins

Carolina‘s starters will play about a half. Next week they will play three quarters and rest in the preseason finale.

Lions-Browns

The Detroit Lions could be without their three top receivers for the second straight game including of course star receiver Calvin Johnson who is out, while Bryant Johnson and Dennis Northcutt are doubtful. Tight ends Brandon Pettigrew and Casey Fitzsimmons are also likely out. S Louis Delmas and DT Grady Jackson though will see their first action of the season.

Top overall pick Matt Stafford starts at QB for Detroit. Daunte Culpepper who got the starting nod last week will replace him in the second quarter, play into the fourth before Drew Stanton finishes.

Top expert pick on this game: No. 1 Guarantee NFL service has their Non-Conference Guaranteed Lock of the Preseason and they are selling it for $50. (guarantees and Pay After are by sports services to their clients.  We can’t enforce guarantees on re-releases). We have that same Lions/Browns side for pennies on the dollar on the MasterLockLine. Chargers-Arizona

San Diego superstar LaDainian Tomlinson was successful in lobbying for preseason carries as he had four last week. He hopes for more touches against the Cardinals.

Arizona RB Chris “Beanie” Wells is questionable as his right ankle was re-injured. He probably would see minimal carries even if he does play.

Kurt Warner and the rest of the starters will play about a quarter for the Redbirds. Brian St. Pierre will be the second QB followed by historic bust Matt Leinart. Arizona has shown incredible depth at WR.

San Diego starters who are out: WR Vincent Jackson, DE Jacques Cesaire, Kynan Forney, and OLB Larry English.

Top expert pick on this game: Stevie Vincent has made mastering over/under a huge part of why he is the future of sports betting. Superstar Stevie Vincent is 4-1 this week in pro football and has four more tonight including the Interconference Preseason O/U of the YEAR. The other three are game sides. Bills-Packers

Packers starting LB Nick Barnett returned to practice but is still doubtful. His replacements Brandon Chillar and Desmond Bishop have played well in his absence.

Bills WR Terrell Owens has been downgraded to out. Buffalo‘s starters will play into the second quarter. QB Trent Edwards is expected to play into the second quarter for the second time. Buffalo is playing their third preseason game. Second round draft pick Jairus Byrd will see his first action of the year.

Steelers-Redskins

The Redskins are off getting shutout 23-0 to Baltimore. Their offensive starters will play at least a quarter against Pittsburgh. They may play into the second quarter until Coach Jim Zorn “sees production.” Washington‘s defense gave up 500 yards to the Ravens.

Likewise, the Steelers offensive starters will play about a quarter. Though starting QB Ben Roethlisberger made the trip after tweaking his ankle, the Steelers said he will not play.

The Redskins will have three players making their preseason debuts: DT Albert Haynesworth, RB Clinton Portis, No. 1 WR Santana Moss and CB Carlos Rogers.

When these teams met last year in the regular season, there was a large contingent of Steelers fans at the game. Redskins owner Dan Snyder purchases 50,000 white towels to assure the game will not be dominated by Steelers Terrible Towels.

Where to bet: BetUs Sportsbook has Washington a 3.5 point favorite while BetED has them at 3 -130.

Raiders-49ers

San Francisco RB Frank Gore sat out the NFLX opener, but is probable for Saturday. Oakland starting WR Chaz Schilens is out. He was having a splendid camp. Javon Walker is also out at WR which means Darrius Heyward-Bey and Louis Murphy get the start.

Justin Fargas will not start at RB, but head coach Tom Cable did not indicate if it will be Darren McFadden or Michael Bush who gets the start. Oakland‘s starters will play the entire first half. The only exception is QB JaMarcus Russell will give way to Jeff Garcia sometimes in the second quarter. Bruce Gradkowski plays in the third quarter and Charlie Frye mops up.

San Francisco‘s top draft pick WR Michael Crabtree remains unsigned and fellow WR Brandon Jones is out.

Alex Smith starts and QB for the 49ers, but he and Shaun Hill will get an even amount of snaps with the first team. RB Frank Gore and WR Isaac Bruce will play the first series, but probably not longer than that.

Oakland is dealing with the distraction of head coach Tom Cable allegedly breaking the jaw of assistant coach Randy Hanson. Oakland is struggling at CB beyond their top three.

Top expert pick on this game: The No. 1 ranked football service both since 2005 and all-time is a service out of Las Vegas that has hit 58 percent or higher with “Vegas Insider’ releases nine of the 11 years they’ve been in the business, exceeding 62 percent five times. (NFL and NCAAF combined). Two Vegas Insider plays on Raiders/49ers side and total on the MasterLockLine. Bears-NY Giants

Three key Bears who sat out the opener have been practicing: Greg Olsen, Tommie Harris and Matt Forte. All are expected to play. Forte and Olsen are two of new QB Jay Cutler’s best target. He was a horrible 5 of 10 for just 64 yards.

LT Orlando Pace didn’t not play every snap with the starters last week for Chicago, but he will get a longer look tonight. The offensive line has three new starters in the five positions.

Likely to not play for the Giants are LB Antonio Pierce, S Kenny Phillips, G Richard Seubert and Chris Snee, DT Chris Canty, and CB Aaron Rogers. Probable are CB Corey Webster, DE Justin Tuck, and DT Rocky Bernard.

The Giants had a short week following the dramatic last second win. Remember, they are looking to replace last year’s top two receivers Amani Toomer and Plaxico Burress. WR Steve Smith is questionable.

Lovie Smith, the Bears head coach, told the starters that he is looking for positive momentum in the second quarter before taking them out.

Top expert pick on this game: There is no question is comes from the best in the business GodsTips. Both losses were tough ones, especially the Chiefs failing to score on 4th and goal from the one-yard line. But we win too much to fret. That includes our current 5-2 NFL run. Two MLB Wise Guys, three MLB Majors plus six plays in the NFL including a Wise Guy side. Click now to purchase

Broncos-Seahawks

Rookie RB Knowshon Moreno is out for Denver. WR Brandon Marshall continues to demand a trade and is out as he did not make the trip.

Nine-time Pro Bowl LT Walter Jones remains out for the ‘Hawks. Also out for Seattle is CB Marcus Trufant. Rookie OLB Aaron Curry who was sensational last week is doubtful for Jim Mora Jr’s squad.

Seattle‘s starters will most if not all the first half. “We have lots of work to do,” said Mora.  RBs Julius Jones and T.J. Duckett are both questionable.

Denver is thin at RB where only two RBs have been on the field for every practice.

Where to bet: Seattle is -3, but it’s -120 at Sports Betting Sportsbook and -115 at Bodog.

Saints-Texans

New Orleans LT Jammal Brown is very doubtful. Texans LB Cato June is out.

Top expert pick on this game: The top money won handicapper in the 21st century is a handicapper out of Philadelphia who rates his plays 5, 7.5 and 10 stars. He is especially rewarding in professional sports, where his NFL and NBA combined units won is No. 1 all-time.  His first 10* of 2009 NFLX was on the Carolina/NY Giants over on Aug. 17. His second was on Aug. 21 on the Rams/Falcons over. Now his third of the year and his first side on Saints/Texans.
