The Tigers will go with Justin Verlander (13-7, 3.29 ERA) in that matchup; righthander Verlander has been tagged with the loss in two of his past three starts. The Angels counter with Jered Weaver (13-4, 3.89 ERA), who is coming off a stellar outing against the Tribe – nine shutout innings in a victory.
