NFL Sports Picks: Eagles-Chargers Odds, Predictions

The king ranch of football picks gives you the betting preview of the Philadelphia Eagles and San Diego Chargers a game as juicy for bettors as the Carrie Prejean tapes.

The sportsbooks will keep an eye on the streaming broadcast of the Eagles vs. Chargers as that is the marquee game for late action. NFL injuries for week 10 reports that Philadelphia is vulnerable at LB and CB as Ellis Hobbs and Joselio Hanson are out. RB Brian Westbrook is probable for the Eagles.

BetUs Sportsbook has the Eagles -1 with a total of 47, though this is a game to shop around as Bodog has San Diego the favorites.

The Eagles enter 5-3 straight up and against the spread but only three of their eight games have been on the road. They’ve gone over 6-of-8 this season.

San Diego is 5-3 straight up, but 3-5 against the spread including 1-3 to the NFL point spread at home.

For those who believe the key to winning is running and stopping the run, the Eagles are for them. They get 4.7 yards per rush against teams normally allowing 4.5 and hold opponent to just 3.6, which is .7 yards per rush below their foes’ cumulative average.

Philadelphia has been spectacular on defense overall also allowing just 5.8 yards per pass versus teams normally getting 6.5 and 4.9 yards per play to 5.5.

The Chargers running game is a horrible 3.1 yards per rush against teams normally allowing 4.1, but they get 7.8 yards per pass to 6.9. Defensively they are average across the board, staying within .1 yards per rush, yards per play, and yards per pass of their foes normal averages.

Top expert pick for late action: Stevie Vincent’s Blue Ribbon Game of the Year goes late. This superstar does it yet again. Another winning day led by BC under as the ACC O/U of the DECADE wins easily. He’s 40-21 overall, including 8-2 with Level 5.

Against the spread records: Philadelphia is 8-2 on the road versus teams with a winning home record. They are 5-0 off an ATS loss.  San Diego is 1-5 off an straight up win.

Over/under angles: Philadelphia has gone over 6-0 off ATS loss. They’ve also exceeded the total 26-12 against teams with a winning record. San Diego has gone over 21-8 after getting less than 90 yards rushing last game.

Fantasy Football and NFL Odds: Week 10 NFL Injuries and Weather

Fantasy football and NFL betting line players alike; here is the ultimate report for NFL Week 10 injuries and weather.

Actually, in a bit of an oddity this time of the year, the weather will not be a major factor in handicapping as several good climate cities and dome teams are playing at home and the northeast forecast calls for a mild day outdoors.

Now to the NFL injury report for Week 10.

Buccaneers vs. Dolphins

Miami’s outspoken LB Joey Porter will be held out because of a “coach’s decision”.  WR Antonio Bryant and DE Stylez G. White are out for Tampa. White started the last three games, getting three sacks.

Falcons vs. Panthers

Atlanta WRs Roddy White is expected to play but No. 2 WR Michael Jenkins is questionable. This means all three top receivers are hurt and No. 3 Brian Finneran is hurt.

The Panthers RB Jonathan Stewart is probable but DeAngelo Williams is a game time decision.

Patriots vs. Colts

New England RB Sammy Morris is out. He leads the team in rushing with 347 yards and three touchdowns.

Bills vs. Titans

Buffalo WR Terrell Owens is probable. Starting QB Trent Edwards returns for Buffalo. However, the Bills will be minus three starters on the defensive side of the ball: LB Keith Ellison, CB Terrence McGee, and DT Kyle Williams.

Broncos vs. Redskins

RB LaDell Betts gets the start despite a sprained ankle.

Saints vs. Rams

New Orleans FS Darren Sharper is a “true 50/50” game time decision.

Eagles vs. Chargers

Philadelphia is vulnerable at LB and CB as Ellis Hobbs and Joselio Hanson are out.

Lions vs. Vikings

Minnesota QB Antoine Winfield is out. Detroit WR Calvin Johnson will start.

For more information: Week 10 spread picks are up and among the free picks is the spread winner from one of the best in the pick nation Matt Rivers on the Falcons-Panthers.

Colliding on the gridiron . . .

The Colts (8-0 SU, 5-3 ATS) will be looking to keep their perfect mark intact on Sunday night when they get a visit from the Patriots (6-2 SU, 4-4 ATS). Indianapolis held on for a 20-17 win over Houston last time out, with Peyton Manning going 34-of-50 for 318 yards passing with one TD and one INT. New England is coming off a 27-17 win over Miami, with Tom Brady throwing for 332 yards and a score. Indy is a 3-point favorite for Sunday, with the total at 49 points.

Early NFL action on Sunday has Atlanta (-1.5) at Carolina, Tampa Bay at Miami (-10), Detroit at Minnesota (-16.5), Jacksonville at the Jets (-7), Cincinnati at Pittsburgh (-7), Buffalo at Tennessee (-7), Denver (-4) at Washington, and New Orleans (-14) at St. Louis. The Saints (8-0 SU, 6-2 ATS) got past Carolina 30-20 last weekend, as Drew Brees threw for 330 yards and a touchdown. The Rams (1-7 SU, 3-5 ATS) finally picked up a win last time out, getting past Detroit 17-10.

Rounding out the Sunday afternoon NFL slate: Kansas City at Oakland (-2), Seattle at Arizona (-9), Dallas (-3) at Green Bay, and Philadelphia at San Diego (-1).

There’s one college football game on the schedule for Sunday, with East Carolina at Tulsa. The Golden Hurricane are 4.5-point home favorites in that one. Likely by Monday, BetUs Sportsbook will post odds on when Charlie Weis gets fired by Notre Dame.

Also, the Canadian Football League has its division semi-final matchups set for Sunday, with British Columbia at Hamilton and Edmonton at Calgary. The Tiger-Cats are listed as 3.5-point home favorites in that first contest, with the total at 51.5 points. The Stamps are then 6.5-point home faves with the total listed at 54.

Tipping off on the hardwood . . .

The NBA offers up four games on Sunday, with Dallas at Detroit, the Clippers at Oklahoma City, Toronto at Phoenix, and Houston at the Lakers. The Rockets fell to 5-4 on the season with a 109-100 road loss to Sacramento in their last game on Friday night. Trevor Ariza poured in 28 points for the Rockets in that defeat. Los Angeles was thumped 105-79 in Denver on Friday night, putting them at 7-2 on the year. Andrew Bynum picked up 19 points and 15 rebounds for the Lakers.

As well, there are four ranked college hoops teams in action on Sunday, with UC Irvine at No. 3 Texas, Valparaiso at No. 6 North Carolina, Loyola (MD) at No. 8 West Virginia, and Portland State at No. 14 Washington. The Huskies slipped past Wright State in their season opener on Friday, winning by a score of 74-69.

Taking a trip around the rink . . .

The National Hockey League has three games on tap for Sunday, with Minnesota at Carolina, San Jose at Chicago, and Edmonton at Atlanta. The 8-9-2 Oilers haven’t played since Wednesday, when they dropped a 3-1 decision to the Sabres. Patrick O’Sullivan had the lone Edmonton goal in that loss. The 9-6-1 Thrashers blasted the Kings 7-0 in their last outing on Friday night. Ilya Kovalchuk, Maxim Afinogenov, and Evander Kane each scored twice in that win.

Roaring around the track . . .

Finally, the drivers of the Sprint Cup Series hit the track at Phoenix International Raceway on Sunday afternoon for the season’s second-last race, the Checker O’Reilly Auto Parts 500. Standings leader Jimmie Johnson is pegged as the 7/2 favorite to visit victory lane in Phoenix and sew up the title, with Mark Martin (6/1), and Tony Stewart (15/2) trailing him on that list. Jeff Gordon and Denny Hamlin are both listed at 9/1 odds on the Vegas chart to take the checkered flag.

Free Pick From NFL Handicapping Expert

As sports bettors watch the ESPN football coverage to get stale news that’s is usually in the free picks and articles section, OffshoreInsiders.com presents another complimentary spread winner from the hottest handicapper on earth and a genuine legend, Matt Rivers.

I don’t care if I am backing “the dreadful road chalk” here because nothing has really gone right for Mike Fox’ Panthers this season and at this near pick of a price I’m willing to believe that continues.

The Falcons are probably not winning the Super Bowl this season and have struggled recently outside of the Georgia Dome but when push comes to shove Atlanta is clearly the superior of these two teams and with DeAngelo Williams banged up should walk off of this field as the victor.

There has been a lot of negative talk of late about young quarterback Matt Ryan thanks to some subpar outings but this kid is a future star and will be just fine. Even if he’s not he is no worse than the declining Jake Delhomme who continues to shoot this team in the foot over and over and over again.

Carolina just lost one of their best defensive players in former Georgia star Thomas Davis and after blowing the early big lead last week in New Orleans will probably pack it in and close up shop for the season.

Michel “The Burner” Turner has regained his phenomenal form from a season ago as he has been rumbling downhill in his last two games and should do more of the same today.

I definitely like the Carolina defense when healthy and playing well as Julius Peppers can be a total beast leading the way. The Panthers at home in the past have been a semi force but right now Carolina is a bit of a mush team and in a small comp type play a go against if you ask me.

If not for the Redskins these Panthers may be the most disappointing team in the entire NFL.
