Adam Lambert American Idol Favorite, While Cavs Laying 8.5 to Orland Magic

American Idol betting odds are among the most bet outside of sports at the world’s top sportsbooks. The Vegas line to win American Idol 2009 has Adam Lambert the choice at -450. Kris Allen is +180 according to BetED

This on the heels of the frightening news that some lunatic named Janice Thibodequx attacked Terri Seymour, the ex-girlfriend of Simon Cowell.

Explains sports betting expert Cy McCormick, what this means is that one must risk $450 for every $100 they would win on Lambert. But could win $180 per $100 risked if Allen pulls the upset.

However, entertainment and political betting odds at BetUs indicate there will be a lot more suspense. Lambert is just -170 there, and Allen +130.  The Bodog Hollywood and betting odds also say it’s not clear cut at -175.

NBA bettors see the basketball Vegas odds on tonight’s Orlando Magic-Cleveland Cavaliers has Cleveland at -8.5 with a total of 184.5.

Now the objective rundown of who is hot and who has the big plays for tonight:

Nobody is better or hotter than Stevie Vincent. Forensic sports handicapping expert Stevie Vincent is going nuts. He’s 10-2 overall. The Great One is 30-6 with all Level 5 plays including the Brewers and the Nuggets yesterday.

Doing much better than the FTC Capital markets, the power of 620 sports services behind every selection is also unloading. What a no-brainer. MasterLockLine exclusive: We’ve developed data mining software that finds out what happens when two or more top sports services agree in the same side. The top combo is Bill Tanner, the highest ranked basketball handicapper ever monitored by the Super and MasterLockLine. The top in the 21st century is a handicapper out of Philadelphia who rates his plays 5, 7.5 and 10 stars. When the two agree with each having their highest rated play, it is above 78 percent since the beginning of 2008 and 75 percent backtracked since 2000. Not only do they agree on the Magic/Cavs side, but the Philly handicapper has his 10* NBA Game of the Year on the pick!

Plus Tanner has an additional Platinum Play on the Orlando/Cleveland total! It’s only the second time in the postseason he has a Platinum Play on the side and total of the same game. He’s also one of the elite baseball handicappers. He’s No. 1 for the month of May, No. 4 overall this year and No. 6 all-time pro baseball. Yesterday he went 2-1 here with the Braves and Athletics. Two more MLB side Platinum Plays!

Baseball service out of Detroit became the first service EVER to have three straight MLB seasons in which they won at least 40 units (one unit per bet) in 2006-08. We ride history in 2009. Missing Link Found For NBA Winning Picks; Wednesday Sports Update

The missing link was found for winning in the NBA playoffs a long time ago, though some bettors are still finding out about Stevie Vincent’s domination of the live odds for the NBA. Vincent is hotter than Shawn Johnson bikini photos and has more winner than Oscar Myer has weiners.

Today in the Daily Sports Roundup: LeBron James and the Cavaliers try to continue their march through the postseason, and the Rays take on the Athletics.

Tipping off on the hardwood  . . .

The Cavaliers will be looking to keep their playoff winning streak intact on Wednesday night when they host the Magic in the opening game of the Eastern Conference Finals. The Cavs are coming off back-to-back sweeps of the Pistons and Hawks in the first two rounds of the postseason, closing out Atlanta with an 84-74 win on May 11. The Magic bounced the defending-champion Celtics in the second round, cruising to a 101-82 win in that series’ deciding contest on Sunday.

Oddsmakers are still with the Cavaliers for the third round, as they’ve been listed as 9-point home favorites for Wednesday night; Cleveland has managed to cover seven of eight spreads so far in the postseason, while Orlando is 6-7 vs. the number over 13 games. The total for the series opener is pegged at 184.5 points.

Forensic sports handicapping expert Stevie Vincent is going nuts. He’s 10-2 overall. The Great One is 30-6 with all Level 5 plays including the Brewers and the Nuggets yesterday.

Meeting up on the diamond . . .

Struggling Rays starter Scott Kazmir (4-3, 6.97 ERA) will be looking to get back on track on Wednesday night when his team continues their home series against the Athletics. The lefthander was knocked around for seven earned runs on 10 hits over 3 1-3 innings of work against the Indians last time out. Kazmir, though, did beat the Athletics back on April 24. Taking the mound for Oakland with be lefthander Brett Anderson, who is winless at 0-4 with a 6.03 ERA in six outings.

Also on the American League schedule for Wednesday: Texas at Detroit, Baltimore at the Yankees, Cleveland at Kansas City, Minnesota at the White Sox, the Angels at Seattle, and Toronto at Boston. Probable Blue Jays starter Brett Cecil is 2-0 with an impressive 1.80 ERA in his three starts for the team this year.

Over in the National League on Wednesday the Cardinals are expected to turn to Chris Carpenter for their home game against the rival Cubs. The righthander went just 10 innings at the beginning of the season before landing on the DL with a strained ribcage muscle, going 1-0 without allowing an earned run. The Cubs counter with Ryan Dempster, who is 3-2 with a 4.65 ERA through his eight starts.

It’s outlandish. GodsTips is 12-0 with NBA Wise Guy plays and 11-2 all Wise Guys. In pro baseball they are all underdogs and small favorites. The Royals +120 yesterday was the latest. There are 162 and 180 underdog winners along the way.

Elsewhere in the Senior Circuit on Wednesday it’ll be Pittsburgh at Washington, Philadelphia at Cincinnati, Colorado at Atlanta, Milwaukee at Houston, San Francisco at San Diego, and the Mets at the Dodgers. As well, the Diamondbacks and Marlins will stage a doubleheader in Florida starting at 5:10pm ET; the scheduled Monday game between those teams was rained out.

UFC Odds — UFC 98 Picks

It seems like MMA betting fans haven’t been treated to a good UFC card in months, but this Saturday’s UFC 98 odds start a string of star-studded events that should make for an exciting summer. Let’s break down the main events for the UFC 98 odds.

Rashad Evans (18-0-1) vs Lyoto Machida (14-0) — For UFC Light Heavyweight Championship
UFC odds: Evans +160, Machida -200

It’s not often that MMA betting fans see the challenger heavily favored at the sportsbook to take down the champ, but Lyoto “the Dragon” Machida is that good. He’s been untouchable in his UFC betting career—not just in that he’s undefeated, but also because he’s literally untouchable, allowing fewer successful strikes than any fighter in the sport. Considering that Evans is also a defensive fighter and lacks major striking prowess, he’ll have a tough time hitting Machida. The Dragon’s upright stance, based in Karate, helps him keep his chin far away from opponents and sets him up for vicious counterstrikes. Evans’ best chance to improve his UFC odds is to take Machida to the ground. While Machida’s Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is solid, Evans is as big and strong as anyone in his division and could use his great wrestling ability to dictate the pace of the fight. Unfortunately for Rashad, though, getting close enough to Machida to bring him down is a tall order. Bet on the Machida to win a fight that should go the distance.

Online bet: Machida -200

Matt Hughes (43-7) vs Matt Serra (16-5)
UFC odds: Hughes -300, Serra +240

After more than year’s delay due to injuries suffered in training, Matt Serra is finally ready to battle his nemesis Matt Hughes. The two developed a hatred for each other while coaching The Ultimate Fighter 6 and are ready to settle the score. Both men have seen their UFC odds and pride crumble in recent contests—Serra after Georges St-Pierre pummeled him in their rematch and Hughes after both St-Pierre and Thiago Alves busted him up badly. The UFC odds for this welterweight grudge match favor Hughes, and for good reason. The man many still call the best ever in his weight class dominates through good size and wrestling, whereas Serra is a relatively small welterweight and, as GSP proved, can be dominated on the ground by bigger men. Expect Hughes to close out his illustrious career with a decisive win in the UFC 98 odds.

Online bet: Hughes -300

NBA Betting – Lakers Will Expose Nuggets

The UFC odds will be the main event this weekend but before then, there will be some good NBA playoff action to pay attention to. It’s down to the final four so let’s take a look at the Western Conference matchup:

Western Conference Finals: Denver Nuggets @ Los Angeles Lakers
Best-of-seven series
Los Angeles Denver odds: Lakers -275
Game 1: Tuesday, 9:00 PM ET

The Denver Nuggets have been the hottest team in the NBA playoffs so far. Overall, they have won 22 of their last 28 games while scoring more than 100 points in 25 of those contests. The Nuggets burned up the New Orleans Hornets and the Dallas Mavericks each in five games and are 8-2 in the playoffs so far. What makes them look even better is some of their blowout wins, including a 58-point victory over the Hornets.

The Lakers, meanwhile, have looked very sluggish. The Lakers didn’t have much trouble with the Utah Jazz in the opening round but had plenty of trouble with the Houston Rockets. The Rockets were without Yao Ming and without Tracy McGrady, but the Lakers still needed seven games to dispose of the pesky Rockets.

But it’s because of the way that these two teams enter this series that you get the best sports odds on the Lakers. The Lakers were -500 to win the Western Conference at the beginning of the playoffs but now are just -275 to win this series.

Sure, they have given a half-hearted effort but they won’t do so in this series. After seeing what the Nuggets are capable of, they know that they won’t be able to take them lightly.

The Nuggets have had plenty of struggles against the Lakers in the past. Carmelo Anthony’s averages drop against the Lakers and as a team, they don’t seem to match up well.

The problem for them has been that they are a high-scoring team, but the Lakers averaged more points per game in the regular season. The Nuggets have been outscoring everyone during their torrid pace but that plays into the hands of the Lakers perfectly.

The Lakers are 7-0 this postseason when scoring 100 points or more and just 1-4 when they fail to reach that mark. Against the defensive-lacking Nuggets, the Lakers should hit that number every game and walk to a series win.

Online sports book pick: Lakers in Five.
