NFL Early Bird Betting Package Up on Heels of Lockout Ending

The NFL lockout has finally ended.  To celebrate,  OffshoreInsiders.com has released an Early Bird special by their anchor sports service, Joe Duffy’s GodsTips.

Duffy believes the NFL lockout provides a rare once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for bettors. “One of our Golden Rules of handicapping is that the oddsmakers despise uncertainty.”

He continues, “whatever is bad for the oddsmaker is great for the sharp player.”  He and all the OffshoreInsiders.com sports services will be scouring the online newspapers and respected websites for player rotations, motivational factors, and more.

Duffy says the more established teams such as the New England Patriots will likely not be able to match the sense of urgency as teams rebuilding such as the Seattle Seahawks.  Regardless, “the key metrics will be very fluid on a game-by-game basis making the 2011 NFL preseason the biggest gap in history between the sharp and square player.”

The prosperity will continue into the regular season because, according to Duffy, “the public will overreact to early season anomalies more than ever” forcing the sportsbooks to inflate NFL betting lines.

Sports bettors get every GodsTips football pick in the Early Bird Special: NFL and NCAA football, preseason, regular, and postseason through BCS Championship and Super Bowl. This is an Early Bird price limited time offer for just $1,499 covering the full season.

The package includes all football picks. An “all sports” package will be available at the beginning of NFLX.

Duffy is a long-time veteran in sports betting picks. Duffy got his start in the industry as a scorephone announcer for Dial Sports, where he learned the industry under Mickey Charles, a pioneer handicapping writer and broadcaster.

He then moved to the free scorephones, then known as Sportsline, where he studied under NFL legends turned handicappers Hank Stram and Roy Scott. Stram is an NFL Hall-of-Fame coach and Scott was inducted into the Green Bay Packers Hall-of-Fame.

Duffy established himself has a scorephone handicapping legend on the Cadillac Club 900-number back in the late 1980s.

His picks are now available exclusively at OffshoreInsiders.com, where he is known as the “NFL Specialist.”

The package is up right now available for purchase at OffshoreInsiders.com

Baseball Runline Freeplay From Handicapper Matt Rivers

OffshoreInsiders.com Senior Sports Handicapper Matt Rivers Friday is on the Texas Rangers (-1.5 +130) to NY Mets.

Reasoning: It’s not like me to eat chalk like this so I will lay that extra run with the far superior team and take my chances. Mike Pelfrey at times can be very good but if you want to see a cheap price that is the Rangers here.

Matt Harrison has been really good this season and I mean really good. The lefthander has also now pitched at Arlington a bunch and is used to this hitter’s paradise unlike Pelfrey who certainly is in for it a little bit more here in this park than at spacious Citi Field. The New York righthander has been a fairly feast or famine type guy throughout his career and I can see the latter rear its head today in this spot.

Jose Reyes is a star and the Mets have been alright this season but David Wright and Ike Davis are still banged up and all in all the New Yorkers really shouldn’t be able to bang away and match the runs production of guys like Hamilton, Young, Kinsler, Cruz and Beltre. Texas always has the potential to put up a crooked number and I just don’t see the extremely mediocre Mets doing enough against Harrison in order to keep pace

Laying that run and a half with a home team is definitely scary, I readily admit that and don’t do it all that often, but at home I am all about a very good hurler in Harrison and the much better Rangers.

Top expert pick on this game: A very sound win from Matt Rivers on the 300,000* Cardinals in yesterday’s lone play. I am now up 5.7 million* over the past 3 ½ months and will increase that number today with a pair of winners as I raise that bar and smack around the Crookie. 400,000* Monster Value Dog of the Year plus a 200,000* winner from US Cellular between the Nationals and White Sox. I absolutely love this dog and will sweep the board yet again! Click now to purchase

Baseball Free Bet

OffshoreInsiders.com Senior Sports Handicapper Matt Rivers has an MLB free pick for Father’s Day on the Kansas City Royals (+175) to St. Louis.

Reasoning: Why not back the pesky Royals here? Sure Jaime Garcia at home has been beyond belief and is a legitimate stud lefthander that could dominate anybody when on but Tony LaRussa’s Cardinals have not been very good of late and at this price I’ll back the semi capable Royals. Matt Holliday did hit that eighth inning home run last night but take that away and St. Louis would literally still be winless over the last few weeks. Things are still not fully right and I can see them falling flat once again today.

Obviously Kansas City isn’t a good team just yet but they have a few players that are alright. Both Butler and Gordon are very good major leaguers and the kids that have recently been brought up in Hosmer and Moustakas could be special. Of course when push comes to shove the Redbirds at home with Pujols, Holliday and Berkman are clearly the superior team that is going farther in the end but things have not been very good of late and at this price I’m alright with young Danny Dufffy and the visitors.

It’s definitely asking a lot here as we are well behind the eight ball in most categories from the get go, including the all important starting pitching, but Garcia is overdue to give up some runs at Busch as he can’t possibly keep up this pace and with the recent shoddy play I’ll grab this number and fade the still struggling Cardinals.

Top expert pick on this game: Kansas City

For more information: Yup that’s right! 64 of the last 105 days have now been winning as I did it again yesterday. It’s once again getting really easy as I flex my muscles and prove that I am the best there is on the diamond. I am right round that plus 7 million star mark and am going to cruise past it today in yet another 2-0 sweep. 300,000* Blue Jays-Reds plus a 200,000* Brewers-Red Sox. Here we go baby! Red Sox-Blue Jays MLB Expert Prediction

OffshoreInsiders.com Senior Sports Handicapper Matt Rivers Saturday is on the Boston Red Sox (+105) to Toronto.

Reasoning: I backed Toronto in a comp loser as the big dog yesterday and am reversing course here because the price is just too good not to.

Brandon Morrow certainly has the potential to be a very very good pitcher as he is a dominating strikeout machine at times. Shoot the way this season has gone for John Lackey the Blue Jays may even have the advantage on the hill. But with that said I’m not writing Mr. Lackey off just yet and in that first start back off the DL the former Angel actually looked better. Is he back and will this form last for good? I’m not sure about that but he’s much better than the 3-5 record and 7.60 ERA would suggest that I can tell you.

As for the two teams, clearly the visitors from Beantown are the more powerful overall squad with a lineup as nasty as any. The Jays can hit as well led by a budding star in Jose Bautista among others but the Sox are obviously far superior. Big Papi is on-fire, Adrian Gonzalez may be the early season MVP and Carl Crawford, Jacoby Ellsbury, Dustin Pedroia and Kevin Youkilis are all very good and great at times.

Things won’t come easy today for Boston but in my opinion they are of solid value at this number as they just win this game more than they don’t and that constitutes a value at this price.

If Lackey regresses today and gets slapped around then so be it. We were able to get a great team at a great value but just happened to lose. But if the guy is healthier and improving then we should be laying a decent chunk of change but yet aren’t and I’m more than fine with that scenario!

Top expert pick on this game: Boston from Matt Rivers

For more information: The run is now 58 of 97 winning days, as in 58 winning days compared to only 39 losing ones and 5.7 million* of profit after the 400,000* on the plus money Nationals took care of business. It should have been another sweep of the board had we gotten any sort of a break with the big dog Bruins who were nipped 1-0 but in the end another winning day.

Now to another 400,000* involving the superior but beat up Braves in Houston plus a 300,000* with the Indians and Yankees. Am I feeling good? You bet your arse I am. Click now to purchase

Free Sports Picks: Baseball Odds

OffshoreInsiders.com Senior Sports Handicapper Matt Rivers has a free pick Monday is on the Minnesota Twins (+138) to Cleveland.

Reasoning: Why not? I’m going to continue to roll with the Twins as has been the case for a little while now. I have been on them for the last little bit because Ron Gardenhire’s club is just not nearly as bad as the record indicates and I knew that they were going to start winning some games, which they have.

Minnesota just swept Kansas City on the road in all four games and even though they are still a semi mash unit without Joe Mauer, Joe Nathan and a few others I like this team and will ride them. Year after year we see the small market Twinkies rise up and play ball the right way. It has even led to a bunch of postseason appearances. This team has those components with guys like Morneau, Cuddyer, Young and Span and have started to get things going of late. It may be too late to play in October this season but Gardy is a great manager and will continue to have his Twins playing hard.

Cleveland is in first place and Josh Tomlin has been really, really good but the Indians are suddenly struggling mightily and I think collectively questioning themselves a bit these days. The Tribe were just pummeled at the Jake by the Rangers and now face an improving Minnesota team with a guy in Scott Baker who can be very good. Baker didn’t have his best stuff last time out but the right-hander is solid and can be dominant as the high number of strikeouts continue to prove.

The Twins are hot, the Indians are extremely cold and at this price I will gladly continue my liking of Minnesota.

Top expert pick on this game: Minnesota

For more information: I loved the Mavericks and I lost with the Mavericks. I’m not going to make excuses as Miami was the better team in game three and deserved to win the game, period. I have still won over the past three months at a 65% clip and am up well over 4 million stars. I’ve given some back of late and especially yesterday but that is going to happen in this deal.

A pair of plays today including one on the ice. 300,000* Rays-Angels plus a 200,000* Canucks-Bruins. A winner is a winner and I am a winner! Click now to purchase

NBA Finals Odds 2011: Mavericks vs. Heat Game 1 Preview, Picks

The Dallas Mavericks and Miami Heat meet in Game 1 of the NBA Finals.  The Heat are big favorites to win the NBA Championship.

Also, in Game 1, the Heat are (-4.5) favorites with a total of 186.5.

Dallas comes in 69-28 straight up, 57-38 against the spread, going over 55-41. They are 33-15 on the road outright, 32-16 according to the sportsbooks going over 28-20.

Miami is a stunning 70-27 straight up, 49-46 against the spread, going over 50-46. At home it’s 38-11, 21-27, and over 27-21 respectively.

Dallas shoots 47.3 percent from the field versus squads that allocate an average of 45.8.  They allow 95.5 points per game to teams that usually get 99.8.

Miami has a similar ratio on offense making 47.5 percent of their field goals to defenses that permit 45.6 while allowing 43.2 percent to squads that normally accumulate 45.7.

Spread betting trends (all records are against the spread): Dallas is 6-0 as an underdog, 8-2 playing on three or more days rest, 8-2 to Southeast, 20-8 on the road versus an opponent with a home winning percentage of .600 or better, 40-19 off straight up win, 41-20 on the road overall. Dallas is 9-1 in Miami and the road team is 19-7.

Miami is 6-0 as favorites, but 10-22 playing on three or more days rest.

OffshoreInsiders.com Senior Sports Handicapper Matt Rivers has a winner for Friday on the Philadelphia Phillies (-142) to NY Mets.

Reasoning: I am the first one to stand up and say how the Phillies offense has underachieved in a major way for the last month or so but with Chase Utley back and with David Wright and Ike Davis banged up this price is just too cheap on the visitors from the City of Brotherly Love.

When push comes to shove the Phils with Roy Oswalt on the hill against the Mets and Chris Capuano is a mismatch, plain and simply. I don’t even mind Capuano as the lefty is fairly athletic and overall has an upside but he is no Oswalt and to get Howard, Utley, Polanco, Ibanez and a far superior Phillies’ club is worth a small play here. The lineup definitely misses Shane Victorino as that guy is the straw that mixes the drink but in the end the Mets are a team that is extremely blah and not on par with today’s opponent.

I generally don’t love laying a price such as this one but it’s not as steep as it should be as Philadelphia just flat out has the better everything in this game and should be a heftier favorite.

I expect Oswalt to be Oswalt and for the clear-cut better team to be just that, the clear-cut better team.

Top expert pick on this game: Philadelphia

For more information: Are you kidding me with a game on the diamond tonight? I literally have isolated a game that is at the very least 50 cents off, no and’s, if’s or but’s. The Bulls fourth quarter was a total debacle and now I move on as a winner in 11 of the last 17 days and 51 of the last 82 with a profit of a cool 6.4 million stars.

The biggest and most powerful play in my arsenal is on display tonight, a 500,000* baseball play in which I fully expect to win by four runs, period. Click now to purchase
