College Basketball Locks, College Football Locks

Ball State will be looking for win No. 12 on Tuesday, while the Knicks will be looking to dress 12 players versus the Cavs. Here’s your Daily Sports Roundup.

The Gridiron Spotlight

It’s Navy vs. Northern Illinois and Western Michigan vs. Ball State in college football action on Tuesday night. The Huskies (6-5 SU, 6-4 ATS) opened as 4-point favorites in their game against the Midshipmen, and they snapped a two-game losing streak last time out by beating Kent State 42-14. Navy (6-4 SU, 4-5 ATS) fell 27-21 to Notre Dame in their last game, ending a two-game win streak.

However, the bigger matchup sees 11-0 (8-2 ATS) Ball State looking to run the table by taking care of Western Michigan (9-2 SU, 5-5 ATS). The Cardinals won their 11th consecutive contest last week, getting past Central Michigan by a final score of 31-24, and they sit at No. 15 in both the AP Poll and the BCS rankings. The Broncos are on a three-game win streak; they beat Toledo 27-17 last game. The oddsmakers like Ball State in this one, as they opened as 10-point favorites.

The short bench didn’t cost them Saturday, though, as they beat the Wizards 122-117.

As well, the Lakers will look to continue their winning ways at home when the Nets come to town. New Jersey beat the Clippers 112-95 on their own floor Saturday night.

MNF Locks

Ryan Grant will be looking to carry his Green Bay Packers past the New Orleans Saints when the teams meet on Monday night. Here’s your Daily Sports Roundup for Cyber Monday 2008.

The Gridiron Spotlight

The Packers put an end to a two-game winning streak last weekend by cruising to an easy 37-3 win over the division-rival Chicago Bears. Grant was the offensive star for Green Bay in that contest, with 145 yards on the ground and a touchdown. The Packers easily covered the 3.5-point spread in that UNDER matchup, which put them at 6-3-1 against-the-spread (5-5 SU) so far this season.

New Orleans is finally back at the Superdome this weekend after an extended road trip that included a stop in England, and they’ll be looking to build on last week’s 30-20 win against the Chiefs. That UNDER result put the Saints at 5-5 SU and 6-4 ATS. Inconsistent New Orleans has yet to win two in a row this season.

Vegas oddsmakers and BetUs Sportsbook have the Saints pegged as 2.5-point favorites at home on Monday night, with the total listed at 51.5 points. Reggie Bush (knee) is unlikely to play for the Saints, while Marques Colston (knee) is probable to take the field.

The biggest story of them all is that GodsTips has the Monday Night Football Game of the Year, literally better than a 77 percent proposition going back to the Cadillac Club scorephone days of the 1980s! Pop open the Mr. Pibb or other beverage and watch yet another winning from the best ever in football picks and NFL locks.
