Cincinnati vs. Rutgers ESPN College Football Odds

It’s ESPN college football with Cincinnati versus Rutgers. BetUs Sportsbook has the Scarlet Knights -5 with a total of 47. Here is the official betting preview.

Handicapping notes: The Bearcats lost 10 starters on defense. The transition is made even tougher as they are switching from a 4-3 front to a 3-4.

However Rutgers lost QB Mike Teel and WRs Kenny Britt and Tiquan Underwood, three big cogs of their offense. They may use three signal callers today. Nevertheless, freshman Tom Savage is the likely heir apparent to eventually capture the starting nod.

The Scarlet Knights will depend on an offensive line that brings back all five starters.

Rutgers coach Greg Shiano has expressed concerns about such a tough game to open the year as last year they lost to Fresno State on Labor Day en route to a 1-5 straight up start.

Rutgers will have plenty of fan support as all 52,454 seats have been sold in their expanded Rutgers Stadium.

Greg Schiano is 5-3 straight up in openers as Rutgers head coach, but three wins came against Buffalo, which was one of the worst teams in Division I.

Against the spread records: The Bearcats are 9-1 as an underdog and 20-6 their last 26 as underdogs of 3.5-10. The Scarlet Knights are on a 5-0 grass run.

Top expert pick on this game: Well the top football handicapper ever has his biggest bet of the entire football season. One can’t bet that. Where to start? Those who use multiple handicappers, other than oh, just about every month here, name me the cappers who have huge underdogs as their Game of the Month? Name me how many handicappers win as often as us. We rest our case.

Huge underdog the Reds yet another Wise Guy Game of the Month huge pup barking. Oh our other Wise Guy was another Dandy Dog on Houston. Dandy dogs are moneyline dogs of 140 or more (includes runline getting back 140 or more).

But now our first Wise Guy of the college football season on the side of Cincinnati-Rutgers. We are already 11 games over .500 in football. MLB coming. Click now to purchase

Football Picks: Colorado vs. Colorado State

Fox Sports Network will televise the Colorado State vs. Colorado contest. The Buffaloes are -10.5 at BetUs Sportsbook with a total of 50.5.  Here is the official betting preview compiled by the top college football handicappers

Handicapping notes: CSU has the most experienced offensive line in the country with 125 career starts combined. However, they have a new QB and a committee of running backs.

The Buffaloes meanwhile have three offensive linemen making their first career start. They are very deep in the backfield led by Darrell Scott, who is expected to live up to his potential as the top running back recruit in the land last year. At least eight CU players will make their first career start.

Will this be motivation for CU to run up the score? This is the final series meeting in Boulder for at least 10 years as the series moves to neutral Denver next year for at least a decade.

Colorado does have uncertainty at QB where Cody Hawkins and Tyler Hansen are still battling for playing time. Who starts won’t be announced until game time.

As far as injuries Rams OG Shelley Smith is a game time decision. He is a preseason all-MWC selections.

Against the spread records: The Rams are 3-9 as road underdogs, but 4-1 their last five on grass. The Buffaloes are 1-6 their last seven on grass.

Top expert pick on this game: The total is Stevie Vincent. Yet another winning day in pro baseball yesterday and Stevie is 30-11 the last 41 overall.  Today, it’s the biggest NCAAF total with Colorado/Colorado State plus a Level 5 game side and Level 5 over/under for Sunday.

For the side, the best ever, GodsTips: It’s a winning NFL preseason and the regular season is off to a winning start. It’s 30-19 overall in football. Great for others, not bad for us, but the best is yet to come. The top CFB handicapper in the land has both sides Mississippi-Memphis and Colorado-Colorado State. Added: Two Wise Guy in MLB including the MLB Game of the Month and it’s a big underdog. Get two Wise Guys among seven MLB winners. Click now to purchase either/or or both at OffshoreInsiders.com

Ole Miss-Memphis ESPN College Football Picks

The ESPN odds for Mississippi vs. Memphis has the Rebels a 17.5 favorite at BetUs Sportsbook  with a total of 55. Here is the official betting preview.

Handicapping notes: Memphis has the size advantage when passing the ball. The Tigers have 6-4 and 6-9 receivers going against 5-9 and 5-11 CBs.

Memphis has their third defensive coordinator in three years. Ole Miss faces high expectations with their highest ranking in 40 years. The Rebels averaged 37.0 points per game in their final six games last year.

Memphis must replace four offensive linemen. That does not bode well as Ole Miss has one of the best defensive lines in the country. They had 111 tackles for a loss last year and the key cogs are all back.

Ole Miss is 46-10-2 straight up including 13-4 the last 17.

Ole Miss allowed just 20 sacks last year, but All-American tackle Bradley Sowell is gone to protect Heisman candidate Jevan Snead, the Rebels signal caller.

Against the spread records: The Rebels are 7-1 their last eight road games and 6-1 as double digit favorites. However as a favorite of any kind, they are 6-13 their last 19. Memphis is 7-2 as double digit home underdogs. The Tigers have dropped 5-of-6 outside the conference.

Top expert pick on this game: It’s from power of 620 sports services behind every selection, the MasterLockLine. Sports service out of Midwest is the No. 1 all-time CFB service in units won. Their highest rated plays are Executive Plays. Yesterday this magnificent service sweeps with Army and UCLA as Exec Plays. You know it’s legit because you got it right here. Mississippi/Memphis side. Also on the American League schedule for Sunday: Minnesota at Cleveland, the Yankees at Toronto, Texas at Baltimore, the Angels at Kansas City, Seattle at Oakland, and Detroit at Tampa Bay. The Rays will counter with righthander Wade Davis, who will be making his Major League debut on Sunday.

Over in the National League, the Sunday night matchup has San Diego at Los Angeles, with Tim Stauffer (3-6, 3.76 ERA) taking on Hiroki Kuroda (5-5, 4.08 ERA). Righthander Stauffer is coming off back-to-back wins over the Nationals and Braves, surrendering just four earned runs over 11 2-3 innings in those outings. Tipping off on the hardwood  . . .

There are two WNBA games on the schedule for Sunday, with Chicago at Detroit and Washington at Indiana. The East-leading Fever were beaten 70-63 by Detroit on Friday night, with guard Katie Douglas missing the game with a sprained ankle. The Mystics fell 92-86 to Chicago in their Friday contest. The Fever and Mystics last met in Indiana back on August 2, with the Fever pulling out an 87-79 road win. Douglas poured in a game-high 24 points in that victory.

Roaring around the track . . .

Finally, the drivers of the Sprint Cup Series return to the track on Sunday night in the Pep Boys Auto 500 at Atlanta Motor Speedway. Jimmie Johnson, who won a pair of Atlanta races in 2007, is pegged as the 5/1 Vegas favorite to take the checkered flag on Sunday. Kyle Busch is next on that list at 7/1 odds, with Mark Martin sitting at 15/2, and points leader Tony Stewart at 8/1. Kurt Busch (12/1) won the Kobalt Tools 500 at Atlanta back in March. Carl Edwards (10/1) is the defending champion. The 2009 Chase for the Sprint Cup begins in two weeks.
