Titans-Colts Official Betting Preview: Spread Picks Info

While baseball bettors are checking the Denver weather for the Rockies hosting the Phillies, it’s time for the official betting preview of the Colts and Titans.

The NBC Sunday night football game sees Indianapolis -4.5 at Bodog yet 3.5 at SportsBook so there are serious line movement and middling opportunities for line shoppers.

It’s a battle of an undefeated straight up team at a winless one. The Colts are 4-0 straight up and 3-1 against the spread. Tennessee is 0-4 straight up, 1-3 against the spread going over 3-of-4.

The Colts are averaging a stunning 9.6 yards per pass attempt to teams that normally allow just 7.5. Even without Bob Sanders, who may play tonight, the Colts are allowing 4.0 yards per rush to teams normally getting 4.4 and 5.0 yards per pass to 6.0. Overall they are holding opponents to .7 yards per play below their normal average.

The Titans are greatly outplaying their record. They average 5.5 yards per rush to teams normally getting 4.4 and 5.7 yards per play to 5.4.

On defense they allow a miniscule 2.8 yards per rush to teams normally getting 4.0 and hold foes to .2 yards per play below their normal average.

The Titans are expected to use the wildcat formation with Vince Young. While elite handicappers warn that rankings are not as important as ratings, note that the Titans are ranked dead last in the NFL in pass defense and they face the offense ranked first.

This production is despite losing No. 2 receiver Anthony Gonzalez in the opening week. Revenge could be on the mind of the Colts as they’ve won 13 straight games in the regular season. Their last loss was at Nashville.

Tennessee has won 3-of-5 straight up in the series and the Colts last win was in last season’s finale, a game that meant as much as a preseason contest to each team.

Against the spread records: The Colts are 5-12 to the AFC South and 1-6 off an straight up win of 14 or more and 1-6 after allowing 90 yards rushing last game.

The Titans are 8-0 as an underdog of 3.5-10, but 2-10 when getting more than 250 yards passing last game. The Titans are 5-1 in the series.

Fantasy Football: NFL Injuries for Spread Picks

NFL point spread players have already gotten free spread week 5 NFL picks from Grandmaster sports handicapper Joe Duffy on the Falcons vs. 49ers and Matt Rivers has the sports betting pick on the Patriots vs. Broncos.

As the world awaits NFL Network’s Deion Sanders to speak on his relationship with Michael Crabtree and Dez Bryant, the experts from OffshoreInsiders.com present the official NFL injury report for sports bettors.

Raiders vs. Giants

Though QB Eli Manning is officially a game time decision, he will play according to Cy McCormick of the online betting syndicate MasterLockLine.com. However he cautions, “Laying two touchdowns, head coach Tom Coughlin can afford to be cautious.”

Expect journeyman David Carr to relieve him.

Cowboys vs. Chiefs

Dallas will be without two key skilled position players as RB Felix Jones and WR Roy Williams are both out. Starting C Andre Gurode is questionable.

Jaguars vs. Seahawks

Matt Hasselbeck is expected to start at QB for the Seahawks. It will be his first action since Sept. 20. How long will he last? Seattle is without three starters on their offensive line. Walter Jones, Rob Sims, and Sean Locklear are all out.

On the defensive side, the Birds will be without CB Marcus Trufant, LB Leroy Hill and possibly their top pass rusher Patrick Kerney.

Steelers vs. Lions

Lions starting QB rookie Matt Stafford is very doubtful. Veteran Daunte Culpepper is expected to start and would be better short-term says Senior Handicapper Stevie Vincent of OffshoreInsiders.com

However Pittsburgh is without their best defensive player as Troy Polamalu is expected to miss. Disappointing RB Willie Parker is also out for the Super Bowl Champions giving Rashard Mendenhall a chance to follow up on his 165 rushing yards performance last week.

Colts vs. Titans

Indianapolis S Bob Sanders will likely get his first snaps of the year on NBC’s Sunday night football game. Sanders is officially listed as doubtful, but Todd Marr of ScoresOddsPicks.com says his sources tell him Sanders will probably play. CB Marlin Jackson is out.

Titans starting CB Cortland Finnegan is questionable. The Titans have several players on both sides of the line who are banged up, but will play hurt.

Patriots vs. Broncos

Rookie Knowshon Moreno will start at RB as Correll Buckhalter is out. The oft injured Buckhalter is leading the league in yards per rush at 7.2.

Buccaneers vs. Eagles

Eagles starting QB Donovan McNabb returns behind center.

Falcons vs. 49ers

San Francisco will be without RB Frank Gore. However the NFL betting specialist Mike Godsey of GodsTips, anchor of OffshoreInsiders.com says fantasy football players will want to note that Glenn Coffee is a talented running back who will burst onto the scene today.

NFL Spread Handicapper Pick: 49ers Cover Against Falcons

Offshore and Las Vegas sportsbooks have the San Francisco 49ers posted as a 2.5 point favorite to the Atlanta Falcons. The greatest NFL handicapper in sports betting history, Grandmaster sports handicapper Joe Duffy has a premium play on San Francisco. Here is why:

This is the perfect opportunity where our Golden Rule about fading teams early in the year in which everything went right for them the year before. That didn’t apply in the first game because we’d have to go against both teams as they played Miami. There was enough conflicting info against Carolina and last week they were humiliated.

RB Michael Turner went from backup to superstar last year. Clearly he is somewhere in between. After being second in the NFL in rushing last year they get a full 1.1 yards per rush less than their opponents normally allow. With the Birds horrible defense, they need him to be everything he was last year and more, but Turner has instead returned to his mean.

Drastically improved San Francisco beat the defending NFL champs on the road, lost a close game on the road to Super Bowl contender Minnesota and annihilated downtrodden Seattle and St. Louis by a combined 58-10.

The Niners hold teams to .8 yards per rush below their normal average and .4 yards per pass below. Even without Frank Gore, the Niners are the better team, yet they are laying less than the normal three-point home field to a team making the infamous east-to-west trip.

Atlanta’s defense is horrible and the Dirty Birds are no longer are getting the offensive production to bail them out.

Yes Frank Gore is out, but NFL bettors are about to find out how could Glen Coffee is. For those into fantasy football grab him now.

Pick: San Francisco -2.5 at BetUs Sportsbook.
