Week 14 NFL odds are posted and star sports handicapper<\/a> Matt Rivers has a big pick for the NBA to go with the Jets vs. Patriots spread pick.<\/p>\n

Rivers NBA against the spread winner for Monday is on the Miami Heat -5 to Milwaukee.<\/p>\n

As I like to\u00a0often say\u00a0backing the road chalk is not the key to the mint.\u00a0But with that said\u00a0that is exactly\u00a0what I am going to do right here. Erik Spoelstra\u2019s Heat\u00a0do not have the record about a month into the season that some thought they would\u00a0but of late things have been a ton better and I\u2019ll roll with them here in Milwaukee.<\/p>\n

Lebron and the fellas passed that hurdle in Cleveland with flying colors and all in all over the past\u00a0week plus\u00a0have settled down and looked like the team a lot of people thought they were. King James, Wade and Bosh are the best threesome we have seen in a long time and with a little confidence brewing this team is really scary. I don\u2019t think that all of their ills have necessarily been cured but things are a ton better and the Bucks\u00a0may be\u00a0fairly talented\u00a0but they\u2019re not on the same level as their superior opponent tonight. Milwaukee is 7-12\u00a0this season and have dropped seven of 9 both straight up and against the number. I do admit though that Brandon Jennings and his mates are better than that and certainly will be excited and get up for the Heat but I just don\u2019t see it being enough in the end.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s a cheap price on what is still the best team in the NBA and therefore I\u2019ll take my chances laying a handful even\u00a0on the highway.<\/p>\n

The pick: Miami -5.<\/p>\n
