Week 10 was absolutely bonkers in NFL betting<\/a>, with upsets and last-second victories galore. Unfortunately, lots of players got hurt during the chaos.<\/p>\n

Don\u2019t worry about: Chad Ochocinco (shoulder), Matt Hasselbeck (wrist), Mike Sims-Walker (leg), Mark Sanchez (calf)<\/strong><\/p>\n

As for the more serious injuries…<\/p>\n

Chad Pennington and Chad Henne, Dolphins: SHOULDER, KNEE<\/strong><\/p>\n

The two Chads get double billing as they both played yesterday in the same game on the same team and both got hurt. The immediate prognosis for Pennington is worse; after just two plays, he suffered what is believed to be a dislocated throwing shoulder. His career may be over.<\/p>\n

Reports suggest that Henne dislocated his kneecap. Amazingly, he could return for this Thursday\u2019s game against Chicago, but I don\u2019t recommend betting<\/a> on that.<\/p>\n

Brett Favre, Vikings: SHOULDER<\/strong><\/p>\n

I\u2019m wondering if we should give Favre his own category from now on. Every week, he has a new injury and, every week, he plays anyway. However, since the Vikings are all but eliminated from playoff contention, Minnesota could sit Favre, who felt \u201csharp pain\u201d in his throwing shoulder yesterday. The Vikes may as well see what they have with Tarvaris Jackson.<\/p>\n

Kerry Collins, Titans: CALF<\/strong><\/p>\n

All we know so far is that Collins\u2019 calf injury was serious enough to require an MRI. Vince Young should start for Tennessee in Week 11.<\/p>\n

Jimmy Clausen, Panthers: CONCUSSION<\/strong><\/p>\n

Clausen doesn\u2019t get Concussion of the Week honors since the shot he took didn\u2019t impact the game as much as Hines Ward\u2019s. He played the entire game yesterday but was later diagnosed with a concussion. If he can\u2019t go in Week 11, ex-Cincinnati Bearcat Tony Pike would draw his first NFL start.<\/p>\n

C.J. Spiller, Bills: HAMSTRING<\/strong><\/p>\n

Spiller is out indefinitely after hurting his hamstring yesterday. But will he be missed? It\u2019s nothing against C.J. but the Bills simply haven\u2019t used him much this year. It looks like he\u2019ll miss at least one game.<\/p>\n

Percy Harvin, Vikings: ANKLE<\/strong><\/p>\n

I almost put Harvin in the \u201cdon\u2019t worry about\u201d category since he always seems to play despite suffering what appear to be significant injuries. He aggravated his bum ankle and limped around after the game. But didn\u2019t he do that last week? And the week before that?<\/p>\n

Hines Ward, Steelers: CONCUSSION<\/strong><\/p>\n

Hines Ward wins the Concussion of the Week. He wanted back in the game and insists that he\u2019ll play in Week 11 but we\u2019ll see about that. You never know what to expect with concussions. Fantasy football<\/a> nuts should make alternate plans for their WR3 slot this week.<\/p>\n

Joshua Cribbs, Browns: TOES<\/strong><\/p>\n

Yuck. Four dislocated toes on one foot. Makes you queasy, doesn\u2019t it? The Browns may be without their special-teams whiz for a game or two.<\/p>\n

Joe Staley, 49ers: FIBULA<\/strong><\/p>\n

Staley, San Fran\u2019s starting left tackle, is out four to six weeks with a fractured left fibula. It\u2019s a definite blow to new starting back Troy Smith, who will now have Barry Sims protecting him instead, and to the 49ers\u2019 sportsbook<\/a> value.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
