What\u2019s<\/span> on the other side are
\neight games in Tallahassee_the<\/span> most in school history_and<\/span> road trips to Duke, North
\nCarolina<\/st1:PlaceName> State<\/st1:PlaceType><\/st1:place> and
\nMaryland<\/st1:place><\/st1:State>, none of whom had a
\nwinning league record last season. The \u2018Noles<\/span>\u2019 most
\ndaunting foes, after Miami<\/st1:place><\/st1:City>, must
\ntravel to Doak<\/span> Campbell Stadium: Clemson, Boston<\/st1:PlaceName>
\nCollege<\/st1:PlaceType><\/st1:place> and Florida.After<\/span>
\nOct. 14 there is just one road game, and the post-Thanksgiving matchup with Florida<\/st1:place><\/st1:State>
\ncaps an entire month of home games in November. The Gators are FSU\u2019s<\/span> only preseason top-10 opponent, and Miami<\/st1:place><\/st1:City>
\nand Clemson the only other teams in the top 25. FSU heads to South
\nFlorida<\/st1:place> a three-point underdog; it could be the last time the
\nSeminoles aren\u2019t favored until Nov. 25. And given that that is a home game,
\nthey likely will be favored against UF<\/span>, too.<\/p>\n

USA<\/st1:place><\/st1:country-region> Today<\/h2>\n

The Seminoles pulled out last year\u2019s nearly unwatchable
\nLabor Day showdown 10-7 and, though not without setbacks, won the inaugural
\nAtlantic Coast Conference title game. The score should be higher this time. Florida<\/st1:PlaceName>
\nState<\/st1:PlaceType><\/st1:place> might be capable of more
\nproduction with QB Drew Weatherford now seasoned and with a veteran \u2014 and
\nhealthy \u2014 line in front of him. If the Seminoles are moving the ball, it will
\nusually be in the hands of WR<\/span> Greg Carr or RB<\/span> Lorenzo Booker. Hurricanes FS Brandon Meriweather<\/span> must use his speed to keep tabs on everyone. QB
\nKyle Wright is back for Miami<\/st1:place><\/st1:City>, but
\nthe rest of the offense is in disarray with departures and suspensions. His
\nbest weapon could be TE Greg Olsen, who will try to occupy Florida State LB
\nBuster Davis<\/st1:place><\/st1:City>.<\/p>\n
