There is certainly no shortage of winning college spread picks in football<\/a> or winners against the college basketball betting odds<\/span><\/font><\/a>. Sensational handicapper Matt Rivers has a free sports pick for Tuesday and it is to take the Knicks plus the points. <\/span><\/font>Bodog<\/span><\/font><\/a><\/span> <\/span>has the Lakers -13 at home to New York.
 
This is such the perfect perfect<\/span> spot for the Knicks. Everybody on the planet would say how this has all of the makings of a 30 point blowout and I guess it always could. But it is such like the New Yorkers to waltz into Staples and actually compete for 48 minutes against Kobe<\/st1:place><\/st1:City> and the Lakers.
 
We saw this same scenario a year ago as the Knicks were pretty terrible fairly early on in the season only to go out West<\/span> and look like a world champion. The season is lost already for Mike D’Antoni’s<\/span> club but as we knew from the start it’s all about the upcoming off-season and push for LeBron and the other free agents.
 
The Lakers have been looking great as they just dismantled an improving Oklahoma City<\/st1:place><\/st1:City> squad and have been winning a ton as they usually do. Pau<\/span> Gasol<\/span> is back in the mix for the champs and all in all Phil Jackson’s squad may once again be the best team in the entire NBA. But there is something about this dreadfully underachieving New York<\/st1:place><\/st1:State> squad that every now and then rises up when least expected, just like today.
 
There is some talent on the Knicks with Lee and Robinson and Gallinari<\/span> and Hughes and Chandler<\/st1:place><\/st1:City> and a few others. The problem is more of the culture and attitude than anything else. But that should not be a problem here against the champs on the road getting such an exorbitant price back.
 
If there is ever a game that you will see the Knicks step up and play in this is that spot. Even if I am wrong the number is so big that all sorts of backdoor possibiliities<\/span> are always out there.<\/p>\n
