The college football odds<\/span><\/font><\/a> with the Florida State vs. North Carolina spread pick<\/a> tops the interest among sports bettors, but sports fans will be glued to the New York Yankees and Los Angeles Anaheim Angels and the Bronx Bombers try to punch their ticket to a Phillies-Yankees World Series match-up. <\/span><\/font><\/p>\n

Matt Rivers has the pick on tonight’s game. The Angels go with John Lackey on the mound and <\/span><\/font>New York<\/st1:place><\/st1:State> with A.J<\/span>. Burnett. \u00a0<\/span>The host Halos are -115 with a total of 8.5 at BetUs Sportsbook<\/span><\/font><\/a>. \u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Rivers says go with the Angels (minus 115) vs. the Yankees. 
 
Shame on me if I lay this small price and the Yankees once again flex their muscles and prove they are clearly the superior team. But with that said and with the Halos backs to the wall, pretty much literally, I can’t help but back the home boys in this desperate desperate<\/span> spot.
 
John Lackey is a bulldog and a guy that is certainly fine with pitching in a big spot. He helped beat these Yankees and win the World Series for the Angels back in 2002 and is a guy that will come with game. The righty<\/span> has great stuff as does AJ<\/span> Burnett but for some reason Burnett has not been the consistent winner in his career as Lackey has making me trust Lackey a bit more normally and today for sure.
 
Burnett just seems to look great for a few innings and then implode at times. Throughout his career he has had no-hit stuff and then looked in the next outing awful. The inconsistency makes me not feel confident that he can step his game up and step on the <\/span><\/font>Anaheim<\/st1:place><\/st1:City> players’ throats closing this series out. Vlad<\/span>, Abreu<\/span>, Hunter, Figgins<\/span> and Morales have no choice but to win this thing or else the golf clubs are coming out of the closet for the winter.
 
Joe Girardi’s<\/span> club has played very very<\/span> well this postseason as that 6-1 record shows but they also are not invincible even with Arod<\/span> at times looking like the best player on the planet. The Pinstripers<\/span> have benefitted<\/span> from opponent’s bonehead plays and a different bounce here or there and they could have been down 2-1 to both Minnesota<\/st1:place><\/st1:State> and here to Anaheim<\/st1:place><\/st1:City>. I know, if, if ,if, that’s all speculation and somewhat silly but my point is that this is not the 1917 Yankees beating teams game in and game out by a billion or a team that can just lace em<\/span> up today and win with ease.
 
I expect Lackey top be very solid and go deep into this thing and for Mike Scioscia<\/span> to pull out all of the stops and force a game six, end of story.<\/o:p><\/span><\/font><\/p>\n
