South Carolina<\/span><\/font><\/st1:place><\/st1:State> Gamecocks @ Alabama Crimson Tide <\/o:p><\/p>\n

College Football Odds<\/a>: Crimson Tide -17<\/o:p><\/span><\/font><\/p>\n

The South Carolina Gamecocks are a surprising 5-1 this season and are the No. 25 team in the nation. But even so, they are being treated with a lot of skepticism as they head out on the road to <\/span><\/font>Alabama<\/st1:place><\/st1:State> this week.<\/o:p><\/p>\n

The Gamecocks have played two road games this year and both of them haven’t turned out very well. In Week 1, the Gamecocks won 7-3 at <\/span><\/font>North Carolina<\/st1:PlaceName> State<\/st1:PlaceType><\/st1:place>. To give you an idea of what that means, the Duke Blue Devils won by 21 at NC State last week. The second time the Gamecocks went on the road they were worked over by the Georgia Bulldogs 41-37.<\/o:p><\/p>\n

The Gamecocks are a good, young SEC team but they aren’t ready to win in <\/span><\/font>Tuscaloosa<\/st1:place><\/st1:City>. The Tide defense is playing as well as anyone in the nation and the Gamecocks offense doesn’t play well enough on the road to trust in this situation. <\/o:p><\/p>\n

Arkansas<\/span><\/font><\/st1:place><\/st1:State> Razorbacks @ Florida Gators<\/o:p><\/p>\n

The Arkansas Razorbacks are going to try to be an upstart team this week but the reality is that they don’t have much of a chance to win this week. The Razorbacks romped over the Auburn Tigers last week and while it was a big win for Bobby Petrino<\/span>. The reality is that while the Tigers were half asleep in the first half and got smacked around, when they did wakeup, they showed that the Razorbacks defense simply isn’t up to snuff with some of the other teams in the SEC.<\/o:p><\/span><\/font><\/p>\n

The Razrobacks<\/span> offense goes as far as quarterback Ryan Mallett<\/span> can take them and so far, the results have been mixed. At times, Mallett<\/span> looks like he could be the best passer in the conference but at other times,<\/span> he struggles to make good throws.<\/o:p><\/span><\/font><\/p>\n

Against the Florida Gators this week, the Razorbacks are going to get worked over. Not only will <\/span><\/font>Florida<\/st1:place><\/st1:State>‘s offense run wild on teh<\/span> Razorbacks defense, the Razorbacks offense porbably<\/span> won’t get much done against this Florida<\/st1:place><\/st1:State> defense. <\/o:p><\/p>\n

Now that Tebow<\/span> is another week removed from his concussion and showed no ill-effects last week, look for the Gators to get back to winning big – especially since they are at home in the swamp.<\/o:p><\/span><\/font><\/p>\n
