Over in the National League the Giants and Dodgers meet in Los Angeles on Friday night, with Jonathan Sanchez (6-12, 4.16 ERA) taking on Vicente Padilla (3-0, 2.01 ERA in the NL). The Giants have been tagged with the loss in each of Sanchez’s last three starts, but the lefthander allowed just six earned runs over those 16 1-3 innings of work.
