The oddsmakers have the Broncos pegged as 2.5-point home favorites for Sunday&#8217;s game, even though they are 0-2 so far during the preseason. Cutler&#8217;s Bears enter the game at 1-1, as they beat the Giants 17-3 in Week 2 exhibition action. Cutler went 8-of-13 for 121 yards passing and a touchdown for <st1:City><st1:place>Chicago<\/st1:place><\/st1:City> that day.<\/p>\n<p> <strong><b style='mso-bidi-font-weight:normal'><font face=\"Times New Roman\">Meeting up on the diamond . . <span class=GramE>.<\/span><\/font><\/b><\/strong><\/p>\n<p> It&#8217;ll be <span class=SpellE>Jair<\/span> <span class=SpellE>Jurrjens<\/span> (10-8, 2.91 ERA) vs. Joe Blanton (8-6, 3.88 ERA) as the Braves meet the Phillies on Sunday Night Baseball this week. <span class=SpellE>Righthander<\/span> <span class=SpellE>Jurrjens<\/span> had to settle for a no-decision against the Padres last time out, allowing just one earned run over his 7 2-3 innings of work. <span class=SpellE>Righthander<\/span> Blanton is coming off a no-decision as well; he gave up three earned runs over six innings against the Pirates last time out. <st1:City><st1:place>Philadelphia<\/st1:place><\/st1:City> is 2-3 over Blanton&#8217;s last five starts.<\/p>\n<p> Also on tap in the National League on Sunday: the Dodgers at Cincinnati, San Diego at Florida, Pittsburgh at Milwaukee, Washington at St. Louis, the Mets at the Cubs, Houston at Arizona, and Colorado at San Francisco. Jason <span class=SpellE>Hammel<\/span> (8-7, 4.43 ERA) will take on Matt Cain (12-4, 2.39 ERA) in that last matchup. <span class=SpellE>Righthander<\/span> <span class=SpellE>Hammel<\/span> has given up three or fewer earned runs in each of his last five outings. <span class=SpellE>Righthander<\/span> Cain hasn&#8217;t been able to pick up a victory since July 24.<\/p>\n<p> Meanwhile, Roy Halladay (13-7, 3.03 ERA) will pitch at <st1:place><st1:PlaceName><span   class=SpellE>Fenway<\/span><\/st1:PlaceName> <st1:PlaceType>Park<\/st1:PlaceType><\/st1:place> on Sunday against the Red Sox and Jon Lester (10-7, 3.60 ERA). <span class=SpellE>Righthander<\/span> Halladay was knocked around by <st1:place><st1:PlaceName>Tampa<\/st1:PlaceName>  <st1:PlaceType>Bay<\/st1:PlaceType><\/st1:place> last time out (seven earned runs in six innings), and he was beaten by the <span class=SpellE>BoSox<\/span> on August 19. Lefthander Lester has given up three or fewer earned runs in nine of his past 10 trips to the mound. Lester got an easy win over the Jays on August 20, allowing one earned run over eight innings.<\/p>\n<p> Elsewhere on Sunday&#8217;s American League schedule it&#8217;ll be the White Sox at the Yankees, Cleveland at <st1:place><st1:City>Baltimore<\/st1:City>, <st1:State>Texas<\/st1:State><\/st1:place> at <st1:State><st1:place>Minnesota<\/st1:place><\/st1:State>, <st1:City><st1:place>Oakland<\/st1:place><\/st1:City> at the Angels, <st1:City><st1:place>Kansas City<\/st1:place><\/st1:City> at <st1:City><st1:place>Seattle<\/st1:place><\/st1:City>, and <st1:place><st1:PlaceName>Tampa<\/st1:PlaceName> <st1:PlaceType>Bay<\/st1:PlaceType><\/st1:place> at <st1:City><st1:place>Detroit<\/st1:place><\/st1:City>. Verlander is coming off a shaky win over the Angels, surrendering four earned runs over 5 2-3 innings.<\/p>\n<p> <strong><b style='mso-bidi-font-weight:normal'><font face=\"Times New Roman\">Roaring around the track . . <span class=GramE>.<\/span><\/font><\/b><\/strong><\/p>\n<p> The drivers of Formula 1 will remain in <st1:place>Europe<\/st1:place> this weekend for Sunday&#8217;s Belgian Grand Prix. Rubens <span class=SpellE>Barrichello<\/span> took the checkered flag last time out, winning the European Grand Prix in <st1:country-region><st1:place>Spain<\/st1:place><\/st1:country-region>. Lewis Hamilton and <span class=SpellE>Kimi<\/span> <span class=SpellE>Raikkonen<\/span> finished second and third at that event, while points leader Jenson Button was seventh.
