Righthander<\/span> Burnett was pounded by the rival Red Sox in his most recent outing, surrendering nine earned runs on nine hits over his five innings of work in their lopsided loss.<\/p>\n

Also on the abbreviated American League schedule for Thursday: <\/span><\/span><\/font>Cleveland<\/span><\/st1:place><\/st1:City> at <\/span>Baltimore<\/span><\/st1:City>, <\/span>Kansas<\/span><\/st1:State><\/st1:place> City at <\/span>Seattle<\/span><\/st1:place><\/st1:City>, <\/span>Oakland<\/span><\/st1:place><\/st1:City> at the Angels, and the White Sox at <\/span>Boston<\/span><\/st1:place><\/st1:City>.<\/span> Chicago will send John Danks<\/span> (11-8, 3.85 ERA) to the mound in that contest; lefthander Danks<\/span> beat the Orioles last time out, giving up just one earned run over 6 1-3 innings of work. Righthander<\/span> Moehler is also coming off a victory, as he held the Diamondbacks to two earned runs on six hits over 5 2-3 innings on Saturday.<\/p>\n

The WNBA<\/span> returns from its one-day break with four games on Thursday night: Atlanta<\/st1:place><\/st1:City> at Detroit<\/st1:City>, Connecticut<\/st1:State><\/st1:place> at Seattle<\/st1:place><\/st1:City>, Phoenix<\/st1:place><\/st1:City> at Los Angeles<\/st1:place><\/st1:City>, and San Antonio<\/st1:place><\/st1:City> at Indiana<\/st1:place><\/st1:State>. The Silver Stars fell to 11-16 straight-up (and 11-16 against-the-spread) last time out with a 99-84 loss to Detroit<\/st1:place><\/st1:City>.
