Lions-Browns<\/o:p><\/span><\/font><\/b><\/p>\n

The Detroit Lions could be without their three top receivers for the second straight game including of course star receiver Calvin Johnson who is out, while Bryant Johnson and Dennis Northcutt are doubtful. Tight ends Brandon Pettigrew and Casey Fitzsimmons are also likely out. S Louis Delmas<\/span> and DT Grady Jackson though will see their first action of the season. \u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/font><\/p>\n

Kurt Warner and the rest of the starters will play about a quarter for the Redbirds. Brian St. Pierre will be the second QB followed by historic bust Matt Leinart. <\/span><\/font>Arizona<\/st1:place><\/st1:State> has shown incredible depth at WR. <\/p>\n

San Diego<\/span><\/font><\/st1:place><\/st1:City> starters who are out: WR Vincent Jackson, DE Jacques Cesaire<\/span>, Kynan<\/span> Forney, and OLB<\/span> Larry English. <\/p>\n

Packers starting LB Nick Barnett returned to practice but is still doubtful. His replacements Brandon Chillar<\/span> and Desmond Bishop have played well in his absence. <\/span><\/font><\/p>\n

Bills WR Terrell Owens has been downgraded to out. <\/span><\/font>Buffalo<\/st1:place><\/st1:City>‘s starters will play into the second quarter. QB Trent Edwards is expected to play into the second quarter for the second time. Buffalo<\/st1:place><\/st1:City> is playing their third preseason game. Second round draft pick Jairus<\/span> Byrd will see his first action of the year. <\/p>\n

Steelers-Redskins<\/o:p><\/span><\/font><\/b><\/p>\n

The Redskins are off getting shutout 23-0 to <\/span><\/font>Baltimore<\/st1:place><\/st1:City>. Their offensive starters will play at least a quarter against Pittsburgh<\/st1:place><\/st1:City>. They may play into the second quarter until Coach Jim Zorn “sees production.” Washington<\/st1:place><\/st1:State>‘s defense gave up 500 yards to the Ravens. <\/p>\n

Likewise, the Steelers offensive starters will play about a quarter. Though starting QB Ben Roethlisberger made the trip after tweaking his ankle, the Steelers said he will not play. <\/span><\/font><\/p>\n

The Redskins will have three players making their preseason debuts: DT Albert Haynesworth<\/span>, RB Clinton Portis<\/span>, No. 1 WR Santana Moss and CB Carlos Rogers. <\/span><\/font><\/p>\n

When these teams met last year in the regular season, there was a large contingent of Steelers fans at the game. Redskins<\/span> owner Dan Snyder purchases 50,000 white towels to assure the game will not be dominated by Steelers Terrible Towels. <\/span><\/font><\/p>\n

Justin Fargas<\/span> will not start at RB, but head coach Tom Cable did not indicate if it will be Darren McFadden or Michael Bush who gets the start. <\/span><\/font>Oakland<\/st1:place><\/st1:City>‘s starters will play the entire first half. The only exception is QB JaMarcus Russell will give way to Jeff Garcia sometimes in the second quarter. Bruce Gradkowski plays in the third quarter and Charlie Frye mops up. <\/p>\n

San Francisco<\/span><\/font><\/st1:place><\/st1:City>‘s top draft pick WR Michael Crabtree remains unsigned and fellow WR Brandon Jones is out. <\/p>\n

Alex Smith starts and QB for the 49ers, but he and Shaun Hill will get an even amount of snaps with the first team. RB Frank Gore and WR Isaac Bruce will play the first series, but probably not longer than that. <\/span><\/font><\/p>\n

Oakland<\/span><\/font><\/st1:place><\/st1:City> is dealing with the distraction of head coach Tom Cable allegedly breaking the jaw of assistant coach Randy Hanson. Oakland<\/st1:place><\/st1:City> is struggling at CB beyond their top three. <\/p>\n

Likely to not play for the Giants are LB Antonio Pierce, S Kenny Phillips, G Richard Seubert<\/span> and Chris Snee<\/span>, DT Chris Canty<\/span>, and CB Aaron Rogers. Probable are CB Corey Webster, DE Justin Tuck, and DT Rocky Bernard. <\/span><\/font><\/p>\n

The Giants had a short week following the dramatic last second win. Remember, they are looking to replace last year’s top two receivers Amani<\/span> Toomer<\/span> and Plaxico Burress. WR Steve Smith is questionable. <\/span><\/font><\/p>\n

Lovie<\/span><\/font><\/span> Smith, the Bears head coach, told the starters that he is looking for positive momentum in the second quarter before taking them out. <\/p>\n

Seattle<\/span><\/font><\/st1:place><\/st1:City>‘s starters will most if not all the first half. “We have lots of work to do,” said Mora.\u00a0 <\/span>RBs<\/span> Julius Jones and T.J<\/span>. Duckett<\/span> are both questionable. <\/p>\n

Denver<\/span><\/font><\/st1:place><\/st1:City> is thin at RB where only two RBs<\/span> have been on the field for every practice. <\/p>\n
