Adam Wainwright (14-7, 2.62 ERA) will get the ball for the Cardinals; the righthander<\/span> blanked the Padres over seven innings last time out. The Dodgers counter with Clayton Kershaw (8-7, 2.91 ERA); <\/span><\/font>L.A.<\/st1:place><\/st1:City> has lost his last five outings.<\/p>\n

Over in the American League the top matchup has Boston<\/st1:place><\/st1:City> and Clay Buchholz (1-3, 4.45 ERA) taking on Toronto<\/st1:place><\/st1:City> and Roy Halladay (13-5, 2.65 ERA). Righthander<\/span> Buchholz took a hard-luck loss against the Tigers last time out, surrendering one earned run on five hits over his seven innings of work. Buchholz beat the Jays back on July 17.
