The Michael Vick press conference may be the big story for the <\/span><\/font>Philadelphia<\/st1:place><\/st1:City> newspapers, but winning NFL picks is what OffshoreInsiders.com and Lines-Maker.com are about. <\/p>\n

As the NFL handicappers<\/a> research every form of the media for late breaking information in winning preseason NFL selections, it’s tough not to get caught up with the Philadelphia Inquirer, Philadelphia Daily News, 610 WIP<\/span>, and ESPN Radio Philadelphia, though it wasn’t until Jody McDonald and his milk toast co-host Harry Mays came on that they finally went local. <\/span><\/font><\/p>\n

Here is the official NFL betting odds<\/a> preview of the Rams-Jets. <\/span><\/font><\/p>\n

Two coaches are making their debut: Rex Ryan for the Jets and Steve Spagnuolo<\/span> for the Rams. <\/span><\/font><\/p>\n

The Jets will be without four starters: five starters LG<\/span> Alan Faneca<\/span>, C Nick Mangold<\/span>, RT<\/span> Damien Woody, CB Darrelle<\/span> Revis<\/span> and NT Kris Jenkins.<\/span><\/font><\/p>\n

The Rams No. 1 WR Donnie Avery is out. He caught 53 passes as a rookie last year. They have very little proven talent at WR. They have nine receivers battling for spots behind Avery. Combined, they caught 43 passes for 524 years last year. <\/span><\/font><\/p>\n

The Rams are also installing the West Coast offense under new offensive coordinator Pat Shurmur<\/span>, so the injury to Avery is a major one. Starting QB Marc Bulger, coming off missing a good part of last year because of injuries, will play the entire first quarter and perhaps part of the second. <\/span><\/font><\/p>\n

The Jets will start Kellen<\/span> Clemens at QB, but he will give way to rookie sensation Mark Sanchez as coach<\/span> Ryan wants both signal callers to work with the first team. Look for rookie Erik Ainge<\/span> to get a majority of the playing time behind center and Harvard’s Chris Pizzotti<\/span> will get some mop up duty. <\/span><\/font><\/p>\n

Senior Handicapper Stevie Vincent of OffshoreInsiders.com has said that Sanchez has looked very sharp in training camp and will likely win the job. Two receivers, Jerricho<\/span> Cotchery<\/span> and Chansi<\/span> Stuckey have looked extremely impressive in camp for the Jets reports Vincent. <\/span><\/font><\/p>\n

The defense has also dominated in training camp for the J-E-T-S. <\/span><\/font><\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
