NFL betting<\/a> is officially underway after the Bills and Titans opened the preseason with the Hall of Fame game Sunday night. But that doesn’t mean you have to stop betting on baseball! This week offers some important matchups<\/span> with playoff implications. Let’s make some Tuesday picks.<\/p>\n

Rick Porcello<\/span> (10-7, 4.30) vs<\/span> Junichi Tazawa<\/span> (0-1, 10.80)<\/p>\n

The Red Sox are at home, but they’re slumping horribly and starting a rookie pitcher, so it’s possible that they’ll be slight offshore sportsbook<\/a> underdogs on Tuesday. Time to take advantage.<\/span> Historically, new pitchers from <\/span><\/font>Japan<\/st1:place><\/st1:country-region> often baffle hitters upon arriving in the big leagues, as scouts know little about them. Tazawa<\/span> hasn’t started well but I think he can surprise against the free-swinging Tigers. Rick Porcello<\/span> is much more of a household name, but he hasn’t pitched too well over the last few months and the Red Sox beat him up once this season already. Go with Boston<\/st1:place><\/st1:City>.<\/p>\n

David Price (5-4, 4.91) vs<\/span> Ervin Santana (4-6, 7.20) <\/span><\/font><\/p>\n


The over\/under for this battle between powerhouse offenses should look like an NFL game. David Price is a nightmare on the road, going 0-3 with an 8.20 ERA this season, yet Ervin Santana is even worse at home, going 0-4 with a hilarious 12.38 ERA. Something has to give, and I’d lean toward <\/span><\/font>Tampa<\/st1:place><\/st1:City> in my MLB predictions. We at least know that the current Ray regulars really have Santana figured out, particularly B.J<\/span>. Upton, who has a .467 lifetime average against him. Pick the Rays to prevail in a slugfest.<\/p>\n
