It does not get much better than this for baseball fans and MLB bettors<\/a> alike. The New York Yankees and Boston Red Sox square off on prime-time television. It’s an understatement to say that the Yankees have turned the series around. After <\/span><\/font>Boston<\/st1:place><\/st1:City> won the first eight series meeting this year, the Bronx Bombers have won the first three games of this four-game set. They’ve now won six straight overall. <\/p>\n

On the other hand, <\/span><\/font>Boston<\/st1:place><\/st1:City> has lost five in a row. They have gone 24 innings without a hit and are 3-for-33 in this series with men in scoring position. <\/p>\n

Lester has been the mark of consistency with a 3.79 ERA for the year and a 1.293 WHIP. Andy Pettitte is quite hot. In his last four starts his ERA is 2.36 with a WHIP of 1.087. <\/span><\/font><\/p>\n

The Yankees have lost 4-of-5 to Lester, while <\/span><\/font>Boston<\/st1:place><\/st1:City> is 9-19 their last 28 to Andy Pettitte. <\/p>\n

Other key records: <\/span><\/font>Boston<\/st1:place><\/st1:City> has dropped a frightening 11-of-12 against teams with a winning record. However they are a very impressive 45-14 with Jon Lester on grass. <\/p>\n
