CC Sabathia (9-6, 3.66 ERA) will try to pitch the Yankees to a win on Thursday night when he takes on the Athletics and Vin<\/span> Mazzaro<\/span> (2-6, 4.09 ERA). Lefthander Sabathia dominated the Tigers in his last trip to the mound, tossing seven shutout innings and giving up just five hits in the victory. <\/span>New  York<\/span><\/span><\/st1:place><\/st1:State> is 5-5 in Sabathia’s<\/span> last 10 starts. Righthander<\/span> Mazzaro<\/span> was knocked around by the Angels last time out, giving up eight runs (four earned) over three innings pitched.<\/span><\/p>\n

Probable Pirates starter Charlie Morton (2-2, 3.21 ERA) cruised to a win over the Giants last time out, holding them scoreless on three hits over seven innings of work. The Diamondbacks will counter with Dan Haren<\/span> (10-5, 1.96 ERA), who has earned the victory in each of his last four starts.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n
