Angels starter Joe Saunders<\/font><\/b><\/strong> is 2-0 with a 0.56 ERA in two career starts versus Kansas City.<\/o:p><\/span><\/font><\/p>\n

Royals starter Brian Bannister<\/font><\/b><\/strong> is 1-4 over his last six starts despite a 2.95 ERA. <\/o:p><\/span><\/font><\/p>\n

Later today, the -150 favored Florida Marlins look to complete a three-game sweep of the lowly San Diego Padres at Petco Park.<\/o:p><\/span><\/font><\/p>\n

Despite winning two in a row, Florida remains seven games behind the Phillies, winners of 10 straight.<\/o:p><\/span><\/font><\/p>\n

While the Marlins are in position to record their fourth sweep of a road series this season, they are still struggling at the plate. Florida is batting .228 while scoring 11 runs over its last five contests.<\/o:p><\/span><\/font><\/p>\n

Ricky Nolasco <\/span><\/font><\/b><\/strong>takes the ball for the Marlins after giving up four runs and seven hits in six innings of a 2-1, 12-inning loss to Philadelphia on Friday.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

Miguel Montero<\/span><\/font><\/b><\/strong> will look to continue his stellar play in today’s finale of a three-game road set against the Colorado Rockies and lead the Arizona Diamondbacks to their fourth win in five series.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

When Chris Snyder<\/font><\/b><\/strong> went on the disabled list June 23 with a lower back strain, Arizona was in the midst of losing 11 of 13, and Montero went 2 for 13 in the first four games in place of Snyder.<\/o:p><\/span><\/font><\/p>\n

Since then, he’s had a hit in 15 of his last 17 contests, and batted .418 in that time.<\/o:p><\/span><\/font><\/p>\n
