Wimbledon<\/span><\/font><\/st1:place> Betting \u2013 Top Four Seeds Remaining On<\/span> Women’s Side<\/p>\n

While many people are shifting their focus to NFL odds<\/a>, UFC<\/span> odds<\/a>, Wimbledon<\/st1:place> is in the spotlight for the next few days. All of the<\/span> buzz around the water cooler has been whether the Great Brit Hope, Andy Murray, will finally be able to break through and win for his fans or whether it will be Roger Federer once again. And on the women’s side, what started as a storyline is quickly becoming a reality as the Williams sisters are on a collision course for the finals.<\/p>\n

On the men’s side, Feder<\/span>, Murray, Novak Djokovic<\/span> and Andy Roddick<\/span> are all still present as they will curtail the field to a final four tomorrow. There’s a good chance Federer and Murray<\/st1:place><\/st1:City> will be there as most handicapping software<\/a> has projected that those two will be in the final.<\/p>\n

Federer will take on Ivo<\/span> Karlovic<\/span> on Thursday while Murray \u2013 and his thousands of fans on Mount<\/st1:PlaceType> Murray<\/st1:PlaceName><\/st1:place> \u2013 will take on veteran Juan Carlos Ferrero<\/span>. Roddick<\/span> will battle Lleyton<\/span> Hewitt, which should be an exciting match. Hewitt has been another big storyline in Wimbledon<\/st1:place> as he is playing the quarter-finals for the first time in three years.<\/p>\n

He might be a little spent facing Roddick<\/span> after he needed five sets to down No. 23 seed Radek<\/span> Stepanek<\/span>.<\/p>\n

On the women’s side, it looks like it will be an all-Williams sisters<\/span> final as neither Venus nor Serena has even lost a set yet. Both will take on Russians in the sem<\/span>-finals as Venus will take on No. 1 seed Dinara<\/span> Safina<\/span> while Serena will take on No. 4 seed Elena Dementieva<\/span>.<\/p>\n

Interestingly enough, all top four seeds on the women’s side are in the semi-finals, which means<\/span> the system worked. The best players remain but the Williams sisters should dominate.<\/p>\n

Those making their sports predictions<\/a> know that Dementieva<\/span> is a patsy and always falls short at Grand Slams. She’s never won a Grand Slam and typically fails in the semis.<\/p>\n

On the other side of the draw, Safina<\/span> will take on Venus and it might not be the matchup people expect. Safina<\/span> has been pushed to her limits in her last two matches, going the full three sets with an unseeded German and No. 17 seed Amelie<\/span> Mauresmo<\/span>.<\/p>\n

Safina<\/span> might be a little more fatigued than Venus and considering Venus owns Wimbledon to begin with and hasn’t even lost a set either, should lead to another finals for her.<\/o:p><\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
