Boston (-140 favorites according to the latest MLB odds<\/span><\/font><\/a>) has won 13 of 18 games in June, a hot stretch that has expanded its division lead from a half-game over the New York Yankees to four full games.<\/o:p><\/span><\/font><\/p>\n

The Nationals had their season-high four-game run snapped on Sunday with a 9-4 loss to the Blue Jays, but still feel positive with the Red Sox coming to town.<\/o:p><\/span><\/font><\/p>\n

John Lannan<\/span><\/span><\/font><\/b><\/strong>, the only non-rookie in Washington<\/st1:place><\/st1:State>‘s rotation, will get the start for the Nats<\/span>.<\/o:p><\/p>\n

Brad Penny<\/span><\/font><\/b><\/strong> <\/span><\/font><\/span>is 12-5 with a 2.54 ERA in 20 starts against the Nationals’ franchise, whom<\/span> he hasn’t faced since 2007.<\/o:p><\/p>\n

Meanwhile the New York Yankees are at the Atlanta Braves. <\/span><\/font>Bodog<\/span><\/font><\/a> <\/span>has the Braves a slight 109 favorite with a total of 9.5<\/o:p><\/p>\n

<\/span>Two righthanders<\/span> who may be headed on different career paths meet tonight as the New York Yankees visit the Atlanta Braves for the first time in nine years in the opener of a three-game series.<\/o:p><\/span><\/font><\/p>\n

Chien<\/span><\/font><\/b><\/strong><\/span>-Ming Wang<\/span><\/font><\/b><\/strong> <\/span><\/font><\/span>earned another start for New York<\/st1:place><\/st1:State> despite losing 3-2 to Washington<\/st1:place><\/st1:State> on Wednesday. He allowed three runs over five innings after failing to last past the fourth inning in four of his first five starts.<\/o:p><\/p>\n

Tommy Hanson<\/span><\/font><\/b><\/strong>, on the other hand, has gotten better with each outing  for<\/span> the Braves and allowed three hits and four walks in six innings Thursday in a 7-0 win at Cincinnati<\/st1:place><\/st1:City>.<\/o:p><\/p>\n

This will also be the first game in <\/span><\/font>Atlanta<\/st1:place><\/st1:City> for Yankees slugger <\/span><\/font><\/span>Mark Teixeira<\/span><\/font><\/b><\/strong> <\/span><\/font><\/span>since he was traded by the Braves to the Los Angeles Angels on July 29.<\/o:p><\/p>\n

New York<\/span><\/font><\/st1:place><\/st1:State> is 10-9 all-time against Atlanta<\/st1:place><\/st1:City> in the regular season, including 4-1 at Turner Field.<\/o:p><\/p>\n
