A source close to this on-going saga told <\/span>PEOPLE<\/span><\/font><\/a> <\/span>today that documents to initiate a legal split between <\/span>Kate and Jon Gosselin<\/span><\/font><\/b><\/strong> <\/span>were filed at the Bucks County Courthouse in <\/span><\/font>Doylestown<\/st1:City>, Penn.<\/st1:State><\/st1:place>, Monday afternoon.<\/o:p><\/p>\n

TLC, the network that miraculously turned these two nobodies into instant celebrities, is promising a “major announcement” about the family in Monday night’s special one-hour episode of “Jon & Kate Plus<\/span> Eight<\/span><\/font><\/a>.”<\/o:p><\/span><\/font><\/p>\n

The Beat wonders if maybe the “major announcement” will be that this stupid show has been canceled effective immediately so that this coveted time slot can be awarded to another family whose story is at least somewhat interesting.  Jon and Kate who???<\/o:p><\/span><\/font><\/p>\n

Eight kids\u2026big deal. Does anyone out there agree that two douche bag parents plus eight kids don’t necessarily warrant a television show? Gah<\/span><\/span>.<\/span> Bring back quality television. Please.<\/span><\/font><\/p>\n

But they also have a spoiler alert for Halloween II. <\/span><\/font><\/p>\n

t is indeed rare for a remake to be an improvement over the original, but in the case of <\/span>Rob Zombie<\/font><\/b><\/strong>‘s “Halloween” the remake is not only better \u2014 it kicks ass.<\/span><\/font><\/p>\n

Two years later and Zombie is back with “Halloween II<\/span><\/font><\/b><\/strong><\/a>” and if the new trailer is any indication, we can expect more of the same great stuff that horror classics are made of: a killer soundtrack, a believable yet twisted plot, and an evil villain.<\/span><\/font><\/p>\n

Michael Myers<\/span><\/font><\/b><\/strong> <\/span>makes a return engagement to the big screen on August 28th<\/sup>. In a nutshell, here is what the sequel is about (WARNING: Contains Spoilers)\u2026<\/p>\n

Picking up right where the first film left off, Laurie is taken to the hospital after supposedly killing the man who was responsible for the deaths of several people in the town of <\/span><\/font>Haddonfield<\/st1:place><\/st1:City>, Illinois<\/st1:place><\/st1:State>. However, her stay at Haddonfield General becomes very brief when a very much alive Michael appears once more, brutally murdering everyone in the hospital to find his sister. Michael disappears, and Laurie survives the infamous Halloween massacre, but is still haunted by it years later. Laurie struggles to come to terms with her dark past, or at least forget it. But the supposedly dead Michael Myers has other plans, and as the anniversary of his massacre approaches, he returns to Haddonfield once more, with a family reunion planned that Laurie will never forget<\/span>.  (The Internet Movie Database<\/span><\/font><\/a>).<\/span> <\/p>\n

Finally there is the Chris Brown saga. From the people who brought you the news on the Perez Hilton hit, <\/span>TMZ.com<\/span><\/font><\/a><\/span> <\/span>today reports that <\/span>Chris Brown<\/font><\/b><\/strong> <\/span>has pleaded guilty to felony assault. The judge on the case did not sentence Brown to any jail time, but it looks like he’ll<\/span> have to complete 180 days of hard labor in <\/span><\/font>Virginia<\/st1:place><\/st1:State>. Brown must also stay at least  50<\/span> yards away from Rihanna<\/font><\/b><\/strong><\/span>, unless he wants to get his ass thrown in jail.<\/p>\n

So what does this mean? For starters, it means that because Brown is now a convicted felon he loses his right to vote and he can’t carry a gun. It also means that Rihanna<\/span> can finally put this crap behind her and move on to bigger and better things\u2026<\/span><\/font><\/p>\n

But more imporantly<\/span>?<\/span><\/font><\/span> It means that WE can move on. How tired are you hearing about Chris Brown this and Rihanna<\/span> that\u2026? Sheesh<\/span><\/span>.<\/span><\/o:p><\/p>\n
