The NBA takes over the sports spotlight on Friday, with the Spurs, Hornets, Cavaliers, Jazz, Magic, and Lakers in action. An Arizona\/Baltimore Super Bowl matchup opened at 50\/1 odds to come to pass, but that line is now down to just 5\/1 as we head into conference championship weekend. Still, that’s the longshot<\/span> of the group,<\/span> with the Philadelphia\/Pittsburgh matchup the favorite at 5\/4 (it opened at 8\/1). Next up is Arizona\/Pittsburgh, which opened at 30\/1 and now sits at 9\/4. The Philadelphia\/Baltimore matchup was pegged at 25\/1 odds on the opening line, but it’s at just 3\/1 odds right now.<\/span><\/font><\/p>\n

Other Notable Events<\/span><\/font><\/b><\/strong><\/p>\n

The Hornets will try to be the first team to pick up a win in <\/span><\/font>Cleveland<\/st1:place><\/st1:City> this season when they take on the Cavaliers in NBA action on Friday night. LeBron James and company head into that marquee matchup with a 19-0 home record; every other team in the league has lost at least twice in their own building this season.<\/p>\n

The other big battle on Friday has <\/span><\/font>Orlando<\/st1:place><\/st1:City> on the road against the Lakers. The Magic head into that game on a five-game winning streak and with a sizeable lead in the Southeast Division standings.<\/span> Rounding out the Friday slate: <\/span>New York<\/span><\/st1:place><\/st1:State> at <\/span>Washington<\/span><\/st1:place><\/st1:State>, <\/span>Toronto<\/span><\/st1:place><\/st1:City> at <\/span>Indiana<\/span><\/st1:place><\/st1:State>, <\/span>San Antonio<\/span><\/st1:place><\/st1:City> at <\/span>Philadelphia<\/span><\/st1:place><\/st1:City>, <\/span>Detroit<\/span><\/st1:place><\/st1:City> at <\/span>Oklahoma City<\/span><\/st1:City>, <\/span>Utah<\/span><\/st1:State><\/st1:place> at <\/span>Memphis<\/span><\/st1:City>, <\/span>Minnesota<\/span><\/st1:State><\/st1:place> at <\/span>Phoenix<\/span><\/st1:place><\/st1:City>, and <\/span>Milwaukee<\/span><\/st1:place><\/st1:City> at <\/span>Sacramento<\/span><\/st1:place><\/st1:City>, while <\/span>Golden<\/span><\/st1:PlaceName> <\/span>State<\/span><\/st1:PlaceType><\/st1:place> will get a tough home matchup against <\/span>Atlanta<\/span><\/st1:place><\/st1:City>.<\/span>  <\/p>\n

There are a half<\/span>-dozen games on the ice around the National Hockey League on Friday night, including <\/span><\/font>New Jersey<\/st1:place><\/st1:State> on the road in Columbus<\/st1:place><\/st1:City>. The Devils are coming off a 5-3 road win in Vancouver<\/st1:place><\/st1:City>, with Dainius<\/span> Zubrus<\/span> picking up a goal and an assist and Scott Clemmensen<\/span> making 26 saves. The Blue Jackets slipped past Colorado<\/st1:place><\/st1:State> 4-3 at home in their last outing, getting three points from Kristian<\/span> Huselius<\/span>. Rookie goalie Steve Mason stopped 23 of 26 shots in the win.<\/p>\n

Three of New Jersey’s Atlantic Division rivals are also in action on Friday, with <\/span><\/font>Pittsburgh<\/st1:place><\/st1:City> hosting Anaheim<\/st1:place><\/st1:City>, Philadelphia<\/st1:place><\/st1:City> in Florida<\/st1:place><\/st1:State>, and the Rangers in Chicago<\/st1:place><\/st1:City>. As well, Toronto<\/st1:place><\/st1:City> will be on the road in Atlanta<\/st1:place><\/st1:City>, and Colorado<\/st1:place><\/st1:State> will host Edmonton<\/st1:place><\/st1:City>.<\/p>\n
