The Miners are expected to play 16 true and redshirt freshmen tonight. Buffalo<\/st1:PLACE><\/st1:CITY> only has six true freshman and none start. <\/o:P><\/p>\n

Starting RB<\/span> Mike Davis is suspended, but only he will not start. He is expected to play for USC. Last year the Gamecocks struggled against athletic quarterbacks and that describes Wolfpack starting QB, Russell Wilson, a redshirt freshmen. <\/o:P><\/p>\n

The teams will each go with unproven quarterbacks. Wilson<\/st1:PLACE><\/st1:CITY> of course has yet to throw a pass, while his counterpart Tommy Beecher is a four-year junior, but has only thrown 25 passes. <\/o:P><\/p>\n

NC State has won four straight in the series. <\/o:P><\/p>\n

Oregon State-Stanford<\/o:P><\/span><\/h1>\n

The Beavers are placing a high priority on getting out of the gate early after starting out 2-3 the last two years.<\/span> A look ahead is possible though as OSU<\/span> plays a brutal game at Penn<\/st1:PLACENAME> State<\/st1:PLACETYPE><\/st1:PLACE> next week. They also have no game film to check out the tendencies of new Stanford defensive coordinator Ron Lynn. <\/o:P><\/p>\n

Each team will be without a starting linemen<\/span>: Stanford will not have the services of Gustav Rydstedt<\/span>, while OSU<\/span> will not have guard Jeremy Perry. Oregon<\/st1:PLACE><\/st1:STATE> State is 6-1 the last seven in the series.<\/p>\n
