Ravens-Rams<\/o:P><\/span><\/h1>\n

Troy Smith starts at quarterback for the Ravens. He may play as much as three quarters. “Head coach John Harbaugh<\/span> knows that Kyle Boller is terrible. He will give Smith every chance to win the job,” says NFL betting guru Mike Godsey of GodsTips. Godsey seems to imply a lot of passing will be done by the normally ball control Ravens. <\/o:P><\/p>\n

However Smith has been terrible so far completing just 8-of-17 for no touchdowns and one pick.  <\/span>Rams star running back Steven Jackson is still a holdout. Though reports say that may end soon, it is extremely unlikely he would play Saturday. <\/o:P><\/p>\n

Wide receiver Torry<\/span> Holt is questionable because of a tight back. The Rams best OL<\/span> Orlando Pace is slowed by a sore shoulder and will be limited. <\/p>\n

New Orleans TE Jeremy Shockey is practicing and may get his first action of the preseason. The Bengals are without their top four receivers Chad Johnson, T.J<\/span>. Houshmandzadeh and Andre Caldwell head the list. <\/o:P><\/p>\n

Steelers-Vikings<\/o:P><\/span><\/h1>\n

Tavaris<\/span> Jackson is questionable for Minnesota<\/st1:PLACE><\/st1:STATE>. The middling starting quarterback would likely see limited action anyway because of a knee injury. The Steelers are still without backup QB Charlie Batch. <\/o:P><\/p>\n

Jaguars-Buccaneers<\/o:P><\/span><\/h1>\n

Bucs starting quarterback Jeff Garcia will make his preseason debut. Jacksonville<\/st1:PLACE><\/st1:CITY> has won the last four preseason games. <\/o:P><\/p>\n

Giants-Jets<\/o:P><\/span><\/h1>\n

Brett Favre will start for the Jets but head coach Eric Mangini<\/span> has not specified how much he will play. WR<\/span> Laveranues Coles is questionable for the Jets. <\/o:P><\/p>\n

Browns-Lions<\/o:P><\/span><\/h1>\n

Bills-Colts<\/o:P><\/span><\/h1>\n

The Bills will be without RB<\/span> Willis McGahee. Colts quarterback Peyton Manning is out. Stevie Vincent Senior Analyst of OffshoreInsiders.com<\/font><\/a><\/span><\/b> says that Manning may now miss the start of the season, hence “We expect Jim Sorgi<\/span> to air it out as there is a very good chance that he will get playing time this regular season.” <\/o:P><\/p>\n

Buffalo<\/st1:PLACE><\/st1:CITY> starting QB Trent Edwards, who suffered a contusion on his quadriceps, is out. The Colts two best defensive players Bob Sanders and Dwight Freeney<\/span> are both expected to play for the first time this preseason.  <\/span><\/o:P><\/p>\n

Seahawks-Chargers<\/o:P><\/span><\/h1>\n

Seattle<\/st1:PLACE><\/st1:CITY> starting quarterback Matt Hasselbeck is doubtful. They are also without their top two receivers Bobby Engram<\/span> and Deion Branch and are adjusting to the departure or running back Shaun Alexander.<\/o:P><\/p>\n

Backup Seneca Wallace has been limited, so third stringer Charlie Frye has been taking many of the snaps. Though Chargers TE Antonio Gates returned to practice, he is not expected to play. <\/p>\n
