{"id":16551,"date":"2019-11-04T10:50:59","date_gmt":"2019-11-04T15:50:59","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.joeduffy.net\/blog\/?p=16551"},"modified":"2019-11-04T10:51:01","modified_gmt":"2019-11-04T15:51:01","slug":"sportsbook-odds-on-cfp-rankings-next-coach-at-fsu","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.joeduffy.net\/blog\/2019\/11\/sportsbook-odds-on-cfp-rankings-next-coach-at-fsu\/","title":{"rendered":"Sportsbook Odds on CFP Rankings, Next Coach at FSU"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The latest college football polls from writers and coaches are out, but the only one that matters this week won&#8217;t be revealed until Tuesday night.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The first CFP rankings of the season will be announced tomorrow at 9 p.m. ET on ESPN, and one sportsbook has tried to project where the committee will place certain teams.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/record.commission.bz\/_ejy4onLiLhHT2Fu8bIPGIGNd7ZgqdRLk\/1\/\">SportsBetting<\/a>&nbsp;has odds for which teams will occupy each of the top four CFP spots. It also has over\/under ranking positions for one-loss teams like Penn State, Georgia, Oregon, Oklahoma and&nbsp;Utah as well as unbeaten teams in Minnesota and Baylor.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Keep in mind,&nbsp;the oddsmakers don&#8217;t always get it right, but neither does the committee. And if you compare the updated national&nbsp;championship odds (below) to the rankings, it&#8217;s apparent that the bookmakers are trying to put themselves in the minds of the CFP committee because the top teams don&#8217;t match up.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The site also has odds for Florida State&#8217;s next head coach, following the abrupt&nbsp;firing of Willie Taggert on Sunday.
