It’s time that our handicappers take a look at the Thursday card with news and notes from the standpoint of the sports bettor. We have quarterback rotations as well as the same for key players.  <\/span><\/o:P><\/p>\n

Steelers-Bills<\/o:P><\/span><\/h1>\n

This “home” game for Buffalo<\/st1:PLACE><\/st1:CITY> is being played across the border in Toronto<\/st1:PLACE><\/st1:CITY> and has not generated the interest that promoters expected. Though there is very likely be more Bills fans, sports handicappers<\/font><\/a> should evaluate the game more as being on a neutral field. <\/o:P><\/p>\n

Key backup QB Charlie Batch is out for Pittsburgh<\/st1:PLACE><\/st1:CITY> leaving Dennis Dixon and Mike Potts, two rookies as Ben Roethlisberger’s<\/span> backups. The Steelers signed veteran Byron Leftwich who despite not knowing the playbook much, will probably get some time in this game. <\/o:P><\/p>\n

The Panthers will play their starters into the second quarter. Jake Delhomme, the Cats starting quarterback will get most if not all of the snaps with the first team. Carolina<\/st1:PLACE><\/st1:CITY> is minus only four starters for the game, a pretty small number for the err<\/span> on the side of caution approach of the preseason. However it includes starting DBs<\/span> Chris Gamble and Ken Lucas. <\/o:P><\/p>\n

The two biggest surprises of camp for Carolina<\/st1:PLACE><\/st1:CITY> are skilled position players Jason Carter and Chad Upshaw. Motivation: the Eagles are off a loss and Carolina<\/st1:PLACE><\/st1:CITY> a win. <\/o:P><\/p>\n

The Eagles may play their starters the entire first half.  <\/span>Kevin Kolb will get most of the second half snaps at QB for the Birds. Stevie Vincent says hitting 100 percent never gets old.
