BetDSI<\/a>\u00a0opened the over\/under for the Chiefs vs. Rams game at 63.5, which is the highest game total in NFL history.<\/p>\n

The previous largest over\/under came during the 2000 regular season. The Rams-49ers game on October 29 featured a closing total of 61.5 (opened 63).<\/p>\n

While league scoring continues to climb, oddsmakers have adjusted quickly. Going into Monday Night Football (Giants at 49ers, total of 45), the over\/under record this year is 73-73 (1 push).<\/p>\n

The Rams are currently 2.5-point favorites against Kansas City (opened -1). The Rams and Chiefs are on pace to place in the scoring history books.<\/p>\n

The 2013 Broncos, the highest scoring team by average and by total points in history, never had a total higher than 58.5.<\/p>\n

Next Monday’s historic over\/under marks the 12th total since 2003 of at least 57.5. The over is 11-0 in the previous 11. Earlier this season, the Chiefs and Patriots game had a total of 59.5 points and the game ended with a 43-40 score.<\/p>\n

Field conditions at Estadio Azteca, as well as the altitude, could impact scoring. Two of the three previous games in Mexico City have gone over the total.<\/p>\n

Following a 51-14 win at Cincinnati in Week 10, the New Orleans Saints now have the second-best odds to win Super Bowl LIII. At the end of October, the Saints had the fourth-best odds.<\/p>\n
