If \u201cBarack <st1:country-region><st1:place>America<\/st1:place><\/st1:country-region>\u201d<br \/>\nchose Hillary Clinton as his running mate, Obama would and should remain as the<br \/>\nfavorite for the White House. In fact, the <a\nhref=\"http:\/\/www.offshoreinsiders.com\/index.php?PageID=97\">political betting<br \/>\nodds<\/a> would likely have gone up. <\/p>\n<p class=MsoBodyText>Am I oblivious to history which states emphatically that<br \/>\nvoters chose between presidential candidates and not the entire ticket? No. <\/p>\n<p class=MsoBodyText>The American public is not going to vote for or against<br \/>\nBiden or the eventual McCain running mate choice. But Biden is on record<br \/>\nforcefully questioning Obama\u2019s qualifications for president and praising<br \/>\nMcCain\u2019s. <span style='mso-spacerun:yes'> <\/span>Barack Obama\u2019s highly<br \/>\nquestionable VP decision gives those soon-to-be-fatal comments a stronger<br \/>\nvoice. <\/p>\n<p class=MsoBodyText>When asked by George Stephanopoulos on the ABC program <i\nstyle='mso-bidi-font-style:normal'>This Week <\/i>about questioning Obama\u2019s lack<br \/>\nof experience, the verbose Biden gave a terse, \u201cI stand by my statement.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=MsoBodyText>The American public is fair. They generally distinguish<br \/>\nwhen a candidate is distorting his opponent\u2019s words. One look at Biden\u2019s<br \/>\ncriticism of Obama and praise of McCain will make it virtually impossible for<br \/>\nBiden to claim he was taken out of context. Biden left nothing to misinterpretation<br \/>\nor misrepresentation. <\/p>\n<p class=MsoBodyText>While Barack <st1:country-region><st1:place>America<\/st1:place><\/st1:country-region><br \/>\nstill has the ability to win over the Hillary Clinton base that he<br \/>\ndisenfranchised, the fact he bypassed the person the polls and primary<br \/>\nelectorate clearly preferred as veep opens the door for a powerful question. <\/p>\n<p class=MsoBodyText>A big selling point by Obama was that he was willing to<br \/>\nmeet face-to-face with the vilest enemies of the country his wishes to<br \/>\nrepresent. Yet the undecided may ask why he is so eager to find common ground<br \/>\nwith sworn enemies of the <st1:country-region><st1:place>United States<\/st1:place><\/st1:country-region>,<br \/>\nyet he couldn\u2019t even achieve accord with Hillary Clinton? <\/p>\n<p class=MsoBodyText>Just as Obama started to put the Jeremiah Wright<br \/>\ncontroversy behind him, Barack\u2019s choice was another gift horse. <\/p>\n<p class=MsoBodyText>Surely Republican partisans are looking to piggy back<br \/>\nWright\u2019s racist and anti-American comments, Michael Pfleger\u2019s inflammatory<br \/>\nbigoted ranks and perhaps Michele Obama\u2019s ill-fated \u201cfirst time in my adult<br \/>\nlife I\u2019m proud to be an American\u201d with Biden\u2019s shocking \u201cIn Delaware, the<br \/>\nlargest growth of population is Indian Americans, moving from India. You cannot<br \/>\ngo to a 7\/11 or a Dunkin\u2019 Donuts unless you have a slight Indian accent.\u201d<br \/>\nPerhaps the most devastating words followed, \u201cI\u2019m not joking.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=MsoBodyText>Hurry bet John McCain now as the big underdog (<a\nhref=\"http:\/\/www.offshoreinsiders.com\/index.php?PageID=97\">political betting<br \/>\nodds<\/a>) at one of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.linetrackers.com\/\">sportsbooks<\/a><br \/>\nthat have not adjusted to the fact the Joe Biden makes McCain the \u201cWright\u201d<br \/>\nfavorite.<span style='mso-spacerun:yes'>  <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=MsoBodyText>The author, Grandmaster <a\nhref=\"http:\/\/www.offshoreinsiders.com\/\">sports handicapper<\/a> Joe Duffy is not<br \/>\nonly the top sports betting expert in the world, but a widely accepted<br \/>\nauthority in political handicapping.
