With the help of CBS Sportsline<\/span>,
\nVegas Insider was certainly the first major player as far as sports betting<\/a> information is
\nconcerned. They also had, shall we say, \u201ccozy\u201d relationship with Sportsbook.com<\/a>
\nand helped vault that entity as one of the first multinational sportsbooks<\/a>. <\/span><\/p>\n

Much like OffshoreInsiders.com<\/a><\/span><\/b>
\nhas been since Day 1 and remains unchanged, for the first several years of its existence,
\nVegasInsider.com hired handicappers based purely on credibility, led by the
\nuniversally respected Russ Culver. All the original handicappers such as the
\nlate Mike Lee and Ken White,were<\/span><\/span>
\nconsidered credible by almost all industry insiders. <\/p>\n

The problem was the commission rate that VegasInsider<\/span> paid was pittance and all the top handicappers
\nwent elsewhere. <\/p>\n

Vegas Insider then did an about face and developed
\npartnerships with the likes of Stu<\/span> Feiner<\/span> and Wayne Root, touts better known for their
\nmarketing prowess than sports
\nhandicapping<\/a>, <\/p>\n

They even briefly tried a relationship with radio
\nhandicapping pioneer Dave \u201cthe Meatman<\/span>\u201d Scandaliato<\/span>. Very few sports handicappers<\/a> have had
\nlong-term relationships with Vegas Insider, essentially because the top
\ntipsters are paid fish heads and rice and eventually seek employment elsewhere.\n<\/p>\n

During our Freescoreboard.com and OffshoreInsiders.com<\/a><\/span><\/b>,
\nwe\u2019ve been contacted by several Vegas Insider alumni looking to make the move
\nupwards. Mark Franco was the only Vegas Insider expatriate who displayed
\nhandicapping skills good enough to be brought on board, but his abilities fell
\nshort of Joe Duffy, Mike Godsey, Leo Shafto, AnimalSportsPicks<\/span>,
\nStevie Vincent, the SuperLockLine (now MasterLockLine.com<\/span><\/a>)
\nand he was only a notch better than Oscar Charles Dooley, Jack Stroud, and the
\nManiac. <\/span><\/span> <\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n
