Kevin Garnett led the way with 22 points and 13<br \/>\nrebounds for <st1:City><st1:place>Boston<\/st1:place><\/st1:City> on Saturday,<br \/>\nwhile Ray Allen was good for 14 points. Paul Pierce had only 11 points on<br \/>\n4-of-6 shooting in the win. Richard Hamilton poured in 26 points in the loss<br \/>\nfor <st1:City><st1:place>Detroit<\/st1:place><\/st1:City>, Rodney Stuckey<br \/>\ncontributed 17 points off the bench, and Rasheed Wallace picked up 12 points.<o:p><\/o:p><\/p>\n<p>Despite <st1:City><st1:place>Boston<\/st1:place><\/st1:City>\u2019s success on the<br \/>\nroad in Game 3 the oddsmakers still opened the Pistons as 5.5-point home<br \/>\nfavorites for Game 4. The contest\u2019s total was opened at 175.<o:p><\/o:p><\/p>\n<p><st1:City><st1:place><strong>Pittsburgh<\/strong><\/st1:place><\/st1:City><strong><br \/>\nPenguins at <\/strong><st1:City><st1:place><strong>Detroit<\/strong><\/st1:place><\/st1:City><strong><br \/>\nRed Wings, <\/strong><st1:time Minute=\"0\" Hour=\"20\"><strong>8:00pm ET<\/strong><\/st1:time><o:p><\/o:p><\/p>\n<p>The Penguins rolled through the Eastern Conference side of the NHL playoffs,<br \/>\nbut it looks like they\u2019ll find the going tougher against the Red Wings in the<br \/>\nStanley Cup final. <st1:City><st1:place>Detroit<\/st1:place><\/st1:City> got a<br \/>\npair of goals from <span class=SpellE>Mikael<\/span> <span class=SpellE>Samuelsson<\/span><br \/>\non Saturday night as they rolled to a 4-0 win in the opening game of the<br \/>\nchampionship series; <span class=SpellE>Samuelsson<\/span> had scored just two<br \/>\ngoals over the first three rounds of the playoffs. Dan Cleary and <span\nclass=SpellE>Henrik<\/span> Zetterberg also scored for the Red Wings late in the<br \/>\nthird period to secure the victory. <st1:City><st1:place>Detroit<\/st1:place><\/st1:City>\u2019s<br \/>\nstifling defense allowed <span class=SpellE>netminder<\/span> Chris Osgood to<br \/>\nhave a relaxing evening &#8211; he had to make just 19 saves for the shutout. Pens<br \/>\ncounterpart Marc-Andre <span class=SpellE>Fleury<\/span> stopped 32 of 36 shots<br \/>\nin the loss. <st1:City><st1:place>Detroit<\/st1:place><\/st1:City> forward Johan <span\nclass=SpellE>Franzen<\/span> sat out Game 1 with his head injury, while veterans<br \/>\nChris <span class=SpellE>Chelios<\/span> (Wings) and Gary Roberts (Penguins)<br \/>\nwere both scratches.<o:p><\/o:p><\/p>\n<p>The oddsmakers like the Red Wings\u2019 chances of taking a 2-0 lead in this<br \/>\nseries, as they opened as -170 home favorites for Monday night.
