Kyle Busch will be looking to extend his lead atop the driver standings on
\nMay 25 when the Sprint Cup Series invades Lowe\u2019s Motor Speedway for this season\u2019s

Busch got his third victory of the year on May 10 at Darlington Raceway, as
\nhe took the checkered flag in the Dodge Challenger 500. Busch had previously
\nwon both the Kobalt<\/span> Tools 500 at Atlanta<\/st1:place><\/st1:City>
\nand the Aaron\u2019s 499 at Talladega<\/st1:place><\/st1:City>,
\nand he now leads the driver standings by 79 points on Jeff Burton. Busch has
\nseven Top-5 finishes through 11 races.<\/o:p><\/p>\n

Carl Edwards was second at Darlington<\/st1:place>, followed by
\nJeff Gordon, Dale Earnhardt<\/span> Jr., and David Ragan.
\nMatt Kenseth<\/span>, Denny Hamlin, Travis Kvapil<\/span>, Dave Blaney<\/span>, and Burton<\/st1:place><\/st1:City>
\nrounded out the day\u2019s Top 10. Jamie McMurray ended up in 11th<\/sup> place,
\nKurt Busch was 12th<\/sup>, Jimmie Johnson was 13th<\/sup>, Martin Truex<\/span> Jr. was 14th<\/sup>, and Clint Bowyer was 15th<\/sup>.<\/o:p><\/p>\n

Tony Stewart finished back in 21st<\/sup> place in the Dodge Challenger
\n500, while Kevin Harvick<\/span> wound up in 39th<\/sup>
\nplace, and Greg Biffle\u2019s<\/span> car troubles dropped him
\ninto 43rd<\/sup>.<\/o:p><\/p>\n

Earnhardt<\/span> Jr. sits third in the driver standings
\nafter 11 races; he\u2019s 134 points behind leader Kyle Busch. Hamlin moved up two
\nspots into fourth place with his result at Darlington<\/st1:place>,
\nwhile Bowyer rounds out the Top 5 of the points<\/span> race.
\nJohnson, Edwards, Stewart, Harvick<\/span>, Gordon, Biffle<\/span>, and Ragan are the rest of the standings\u2019 current Top
\n12. Ryan Newman (13th<\/sup>) and Kasey<\/span> Kahne<\/span> (14th<\/sup>) have both fallen out of Chase
\nspots.<\/o:p><\/p>\n

Casey Mears sits in 27th<\/sup> place in the current standings, but he\u2019s
\nthe defending Coca-Cola 500 champion. Gordon won the Bank of America 500 at
\nLowe\u2019s last season, while Kahne<\/span> won both Lowe\u2019s races
\nin 2006. Johnson has five Cup victories at Lowe\u2019s on his resume – he won the
\nCoca-Cola 600 in 2003, then<\/span> swept the events in 2004
\nand 2005.<\/o:p><\/p>\n

Gordon has won three other times at Lowe\u2019s – in 1997, 1998, and 1999. Burton<\/st1:place><\/st1:City>
\nand Mark Martin also have multiple Cup victories on that track; Burton<\/st1:place><\/st1:City>
\nwon there in 1999 and 2001, while Martin turned the trick in 1998 and 2002.
\nStewart (2003), Kenseth<\/span> (2000), McMurray (2002), and
\nBobby Labonte<\/span> (2000) have also earned Lowe\u2019s
\nvictories.<\/o:p><\/p>\n

It\u2019s Edwards, though, that has been pegged as the Vegas favorite to get the
\nvictory in the Coca-Cola 600 this weekend – he\u2019s listed at just 6\/1 odds to
\ntake the checkered flag. Gordon, Johnson, Earnhardt<\/span>
\nJr., and Kyle Busch are all right behind him at 7\/1 odds, with Stewart and
\nHamlin rounding out the top level of contenders at 10\/1 odds.<\/o:p><\/p>\n

Biffle<\/span> sits at 11\/1 odds for the Coca-Cola 600,
\nwith Kenseth<\/span> at 17\/1, Kahne<\/span>
\nat 19\/1, and six drivers at 20\/1 – Newman, Kurt Busch, Martin, Burton, Harvick<\/span>, and Bowyer. Truex<\/span> Jr. is
\nback of that group at 22\/1, with Mears and McMurray pegged at 40\/1 odds to win.<\/o:p><\/p>\n

Earnhardt<\/span> Jr. and Kyle Busch are still tied as 3\/1
\nfavorites to win the Sprint Cup this season, with Edwards at 5\/1, Johnson at
\n6\/1, and Gordon at 8\/1. Hamlin is next on that list at 9\/1, and he\u2019s followed
\nby Stewart (10\/1), Bowyer (10\/1), Harvick<\/span> (15\/1), Burton<\/st1:place><\/st1:City>
\n(15\/1), and Biffle<\/span> (15\/1). Kenseth<\/span>
\nis the last top championship contender; he\u2019s at 18\/1.<\/o:p><\/p>\n

After spending two weeks at Lowe\u2019s Motor Speedway the drivers of the Sprint
\nCup Series will head to Dover International Speedway for the Best Buy 400 on
\nJune 1. Other June events include the Pocono 500 at Pocono, the LifeLock<\/span> 400 at Michigan<\/st1:place><\/st1:State>,
\nthe Toyota\/SaveMart<\/span> 350 at Infineon<\/span>,
